Wanted to visit the newly opened Sohoren Watanabe-dori store in Fukuoka's Chuo Ward, located in the same area as the popular supermarket Fukuoka Fukushoku. The restaurant operates with two sessions, lunch and dinner, and has a ticket machine in front of the store. If you order one yakisoba from the ticket machine, you can choose either soup, rice, raw egg, or fried egg as a free service, which is quite generous. Additionally, you can also order and pay with PayPay inside the restaurant, despite the presence of the ticket machine. According to the poster on the A-type signboard in front of the store, this is the only location in Fukuoka where they serve yakisoba on an iron plate, just like the main store. Upon entering, the interior of the restaurant is long and narrow, with two four-person table seats at the back, a total of 18 seats including a 10-seat counter, where the iron plate is placed in front of it. The owner and a female staff member were running the restaurant. Sitting at the counter, condiments like black pepper, chili oil, fried garlic, sauce, and pickled ginger were available on the table. The presence of fried garlic is particularly great! I ordered the yakisoba with soup, rice, gyoza, onsen tamago, raw egg, and spicy miso, and after a short wait, the yakisoba arrived. The noodles were nicely grilled on the iron plate, topped with bean sprouts, green onions, pork, sauce, and the simple yet flavorful Sohoren-style yakisoba was delicious. The crispy noodles and pork were delicious, especially when mixed with the yolk of the onsen tamago. The addition of fried garlic was amazing and the spicy miso added a junk food-like addictive flavor. Dipping the yakisoba in the raw egg like tsukemen was exquisite. Adding pickled ginger and trying the soy sauce ramen soup that came with the yakisoba was also enjoyable. I love Sohoren, and the unique flavor variations here were beyond amazing. If you haven't tried it yet, I highly recommend it. Thank you for the delicious meal! #Sohoren #Watanabe-dori #yakisoba #FukuokaGourmet #HitaGourmet #OitaGourmet #RamenLoverGaso-san
