The turnover was fast, so we were inside in about 5 minutes. First, we purchased a meal ticket at the counter. I went for the curry rice (800 yen) for a quick meal. We were seated at a counter with available seats, handed over the meal ticket, and the curry arrived promptly. It was a pork and onion curry. The taste was okay, nothing special. It was like the level of a highway rest stop or a ski resort restaurant, but since there weren't many other options around, it was good enough. Thank you for the meal.

A restaurant located inside Intex Osaka exhibition hall in Osaka Minato. I had lunch here while attending Tourism EXPO 2019. I have been to Intex Osaka several times before for work and hobbies. The food stalls at the exhibition hall were crowded, so we decided to eat here instead. The restaurant is located on the 2nd floor right after entering from Nanko Naka station, next to the spiral escalator. We ordered tonkatsu set (¥1350) and yakiniku set (¥1350) for two people. We purchased food tickets from the vending machine and handed them to the front desk. The restaurant has about 100 seats and offers a nice view of the event hall from the window seats. The tonkatsu had thin meat with a generous amount of breading, but the tonkatsu sauce was familiar and tasty. The set meals came with rice, miso soup, and pickles, which was quite filling. The yakiniku had a sweet flavor similar to the meat on top of a beef bowl, which was new to me. We didn't have to wait long, and the relaxed atmosphere and good service made the dining experience enjoyable.

In Tokyo, there are many delicious restaurants, but Intex Osaka is crowded and the taste is just average, so I rarely eat there. However, this time I had a food ticket, so I decided to try a restaurant called "Gotan'ya" located in Intex Osaka. It was my first time at this restaurant. I arrived around 2 pm, after the lunch rush, but there was still a line. You purchase a food ticket and then wait for a seat, and when a seat becomes available, you can purchase your food ticket. I ordered the "Curry Udon Set". Most of the sets are priced according to the food ticket. When the food arrived, it was a simple set of "Curry Udon", "rice", and "pickles". The curry udon had ingredients like fish cakes, green onions, and beef in the curry. I tried the curry udon first. The curry tasted like the kind used in commercial settings, so it was okay. The beef was also included. The udon was a bit firm, not too soft. The rice was also on the firm side, not the tastiest rice. I found that dipping the rice in the leftover curry after eating the udon made it more enjoyable. Maybe it's not worth seeking out for the taste due to the location. However, I was impressed by how efficiently they handled the crowds. Even though it was crowded, they managed to avoid seating people together, which was remarkable.

Restaurant "Gotanyan" in Intex Osaka. This was during a 3-day event in Osaka, which happens once a year at Intex Osaka. Usually, it's a hectic time and lunch is a bit of a challenge, but luckily, things calmed down this day and we were able to have a proper lunch. The sauce was a bit mild in flavor. Overall, it was a satisfying meal that didn't get boring until the last bite. If you are visiting Intex Osaka and looking for a place to eat, I recommend trying Godan Ya Intex Osaka.

In this area, aside from temporary establishments, there are only two other options: the beer hall New Munich and Gudanyo. Therefore, during events, regardless of the taste or service, there tends to be long lines. The restaurant has around 100 seats, making it suitable for events. While there is no standout dish, they offer standard items like sashimi, curry rice, and noodles. The Gudanyo set meal includes sashimi, grilled fish, fried oysters, mashed items, salad, soup, pickles, etc. The rice was a bit dry, but it's acceptable. The price may exceed 1,000 yen, but during events, it is usually calculated per bowl, so it's not a problem. It's not something you'd want to repeat, but there are no other options...
