On April 22, Reiwa 5 (Saturday), I recommended the second time for the reviewer who mentioned that they had recovered from their intestinal issues to try the warabi mochi as a digestive aid. I plan to recommend it three times during their visit to Osaka this time! Our order was the matcha set (iced matcha) for 1,000 yen each x 3 (including tax). We usually dine in at the restaurant, and today, for the first time, we encountered customers eating inside before leaving, which brought a sense of relief as we had been the only ones dining in before. The food was served in about 5 minutes, and the reviewer hesitated only about the black syrup at first, but then quietly enjoyed the meal, believing it to be a delicious medicine. Taste-wise, it was similar to the warabi mochi we had in Asakusa Temple during a visit to Tokyo. When we ordered the warabi mochi and matcha set, the staff asked if we wanted it hot or cold, and I mistakenly thought they were referring to the warabi mochi, so I confidently said "of course, cold," only to realize later that they were asking about the matcha. I made a hasty judgment once again, like the character Tonma Tengu! The warabi mochi was delicious as always, refreshing, and in hindsight, I think hot matcha would have been better with it! With a satisfied stomach and good digestion, we head to Namba. However, our stomachs are full, and it's unclear where we will go next. It's now 12:50 p.m. Thank you for the meal!

Today, it was so hot that I had shaved ice. I had black sesame shaved ice with bracken rice cake, which cost 1200 yen. The shaved ice was fluffy, and you could sprinkle the black sesame on yourself while eating. They also had a drink with bracken, which I would like to try next time I go. It was a delicious meal.

When the temperature rises above a certain point, I feel like I heard somewhere that I start craving shaved ice more than ice cream. It's scorching hot every day, with temperatures reaching summer highs. I hope everyone is doing okay health-wise. Let's cool down with some shaved ice. "Kamakura Sweet Shop" is known for its bracken-starch dumplings. They serve shaved ice there. Their homemade black honey and soybean flour shaved ice with bracken-starch dumplings topping is a must-try. The soybean flour is generously sprinkled on the shaved ice. Can I eat it cleanly without spilling it? ( ̄∀ ̄) The soybean flour comes on a separate plate. You can eat it whenever you like or sprinkle it on top. Let's pour the black honey on the shaved ice! There's a big hole in the middle! The bracken-starch dumplings are stretchy and soft. They don't seem to harden even when added to the shaved ice. Lastly, some salted kelp. It's unexpectedly nice to have some salted kelp for a palate cleanser. Shaved ice at Kamakura Sweet Shop. Thanks for the meal!

I came to eat shaved ice, but it seems like warabi mochi is the main item here. Many people were getting warabi mochi to go. Without thinking too much, I decided to eat in because it was hot, but the inside of the store is quite small. It's a narrow space with about 6 seats at the counter along the wall. It feels cramped. I ordered the strawberry shaved ice for 930 yen and added milk for about 150 yen. The strawberry sauce tasted like fresh strawberries blended with sugar, sweet and sour, very delicious. The milk was rich. The key is to slowly pour the sauce over the shaved ice as you eat, not all at once. It was tasty, but well, it's quite expensive, isn't it? I noticed a line forming outside the store, so I felt the pressure to leave after eating and left quickly. I wish I could have stayed a bit longer.

I am wandering around with my reviewer friend (^^♪ This is our 4th visit. We started the day by spending an hour and a half at an izakaya from 10:30 in the morning, then headed to Kamakura at Tenmangu Shrine for some sweets. I had been recommended the *warabi mochi* and we easily found our way to the shop. Inside, we all ordered the *matcha set (iced matcha)* for 1,000 yen. It reminded me of the deliciously soft warabi mochi I had at Senso-ji Temple in Tokyo with my reviewer friend. The texture was the same - perfectly soft and smooth. Warabi mochi must be soft and smooth. It goes well with matcha. Thank you for the delicious treat.

I searched for sweets on Tabelog on my smartphone and aimed for the highest-rated shop in the area. I entered Osaka Tenmangu Shrine and decided to try the warabi mochi because it's hot today. There were no customers around 11:25. I ordered a strawberry yogurt drink and paid 640 yen with my phone. I sat at the counter and received my order in about 2 minutes. I had to mix it myself. It had warabi mochi in it, and the strawberry flavor was subtle with a hint of yogurt. It was okay. I decided to head back home.

I tried mixing warabi mochi, yogurt, and whipped cream for the first time, and it turned out to be delicious. It looked cute, so I took a photo before mixing it thoroughly. Then I sipped it, savored the taste in my mouth, chewed a little, and drank it. It was great. There were three ice cubes in it, but I thought if it was shaved ice, the combination of whipped cream and yogurt with the crunchy texture and coolness of shaved ice would be even better!

I have been there several times, and they have a wide variety of drinks that are all delicious and cute! The warabi mochi adds a nice texture and just the right amount of sweetness. The unsweetened whipped cream on top makes the drink milky and tasty when mixed in. The limited-time cherry blossom drink had a clear and beautiful appearance at the bottom where the warabi mochi is. The regular menu includes classic favorites like strawberry milk and matcha. My friend said they love the coffee there! It's a great choice for a snack while visiting Osaka Tenmangu Shrine or exploring the local shopping street.

After enjoying a delicious "soy sauce ramen" at "Laamen Moari," I came here, just a short walk away. "Tenmantenjin Shoshotei," a specialty shop for warabi mochi that opened a few years ago near here. The compact and clean interior consists of a kitchen on the left and about 8 counter seats on the right. It is run by a cheerful woman. The menu includes several items such as "warabi mochi" and "warabi mochi drink." I ordered "warabi mochi & ice topping (2 pieces)" and took it to go since it felt odd to eat alone in the store haha. While talking on the phone on the way back, the ice had completely melted by the time I got to it. When I tried it, the warabi mochi had a chewy and slippery texture, with a rich sweetness from the kinako powder and black honey, and the slightly melted ice made it too sweet... I should have just gotten the warabi mochi without the ice topping. Overall, the service was good. Thank you for the meal. Accessibility: wheelchair-friendly, has a washlet in the back, no parking available.

I went to Temmangu Shrine to pray for my university advancement. I drew a fortune slip and got a bad luck result. One of my friends also got bad luck, while another friend got great luck. It was so extreme, it scared me! But I quickly passed it off and prayed for my advancement. I was hesitant about buying a pricey success prayer votive tablet for 3000 yen, but I ended up buying it in the end.
Leaving that aside, I found a Japanese-style shop in the shopping street between the shrine and the station. The warabi mochi was delicious, and the sticky vanilla ice cream (70 yen) was amazing, like Turkish ice cream. It went well with the bitter matcha. There were only about 7 seats (side by side) inside. Takeout was also available. Thank you for the meal!

On New Year's Day 2023, I went to the Umeda Sky Building Floating Garden Observatory to watch the first sunrise and had a Chinese breakfast (rice porridge & shark fin stew). After that, I went back home and visited the nearest Osaka Tenmangu Shrine (also completed my New Year's visit). It was around 8:30 am, so many shops were still closed, but "Kamakura" located near Kaneshigeitei was offering takeout service. I ordered the Warabimochi Drink with Asakawaen's matcha (hot) for 680 yen. It had smooth warabimochi and a slight bitterness from the matcha, which paired well and warmed me up. Thank you for the meal!

On January 1, 2023, I watched the first sunrise of the year from the 173m high sky garden observatory of Umeda Sky Building, then had a breakfast of "Congee with Shark Fin" at the Chinese restaurant "Sankyu" on the 39th floor of the building. I returned home before 8:30 am. Immediately, I went out for the first shrine visit of the year with four people, walking 5 minutes to Osaka Tenmangu Shrine. Since it was early in the morning on New Year's Day, there weren't too many visitors, and we quickly finished our prayers. As we left through the north gate, we found many stalls set up in front of "Tenma Tenjin Shukkeitei" for the first time in three years, showing that coexisting with COVID-19 has become the norm. We wanted to have a drink inside at "Kamakura Osaka Tenmangu-mae Store", but they were only offering takeout due to the New Year, so we chose the "Warabimochi Drink - Rich Dark Chocolate" for 750 yen. The drink was made in front of us, with black sugar warabimochi at the bottom, and it was enjoyable to mix it while drinking. The chocolate drink was warm, sweet, and slightly bitter, perfect for the cool morning. I sipped it while standing, holding the plastic container with a thick black straw sticking out. The sensation of occasionally sucking up the warabimochi was also enjoyable. Even after finishing the drink, there were many pieces of black objects (warabimochi) left at the bottom, so I struggled to suck them up with the straw and ended up eating them by turning the container upside down. After returning home, I organized my photos, posted about the first sunrise on Instagram, and prepared for lunch. Itadakimasu! (●^o^●)

I stopped by because I like warabi mochi after visiting Osaka Tenmangu Shrine. The warabi mochi was chewy and the kinako powder was very fragrant. It was my favorite type of warabi mochi to eat. They also have warabi mochi drinks and offer takeout, so it's a perfect shop for souvenirs or a break after visiting the shrine.

Today, I finished work early and was wandering around near Osaka Tenmangu Shrine when I saw a sign for "shaved ice," so I decided to visit. I got a matcha shaved ice (^^) There are many different flavors of shaved ice, but I like matcha the best, followed by strawberry milk (lol). Today, I had the matcha flavor. At Kamakura-san, you can pour your own syrup, so you can enjoy your shaved ice just the way you like it from start to finish. If the syrup is already poured on from the beginning, it can be disappointing towards the end. But that's not the case here. And if you need more syrup, you can request it separately. The ice is carefully shaved from a block, so you won't get a headache. Summer is almost over, but I'd like to go back one more time.

Near Tenmangu Shrine, there is a warabi mochi shop. The warabi mochi was generously topped with black syrup! It was a hot day, so I was hoping for the warabi mochi to be a bit cooler (lol), but it was delicious with its thick sweetness. There were some seats inside the shop, so you could enjoy eating there as well.

I happened to stop by this place. I tried a drink with warabi mochi for the first time! It was chewy and filling. I think the strawberry one was tastier though! I bought some warabi mochi as a souvenir right away! The drinks were a bit pricey though! I wish they were a bit more affordable, even if it means getting a smaller portion!

A warabi mochi specialty store based in Niigata with over 20 branches nationwide. Recently, a "warabi mochi drink" was featured on TV, catching my interest. The "warabi mochi drink" comes in 5 varieties of iced drinks and 3 varieties of hot drinks. I tried the small size matcha ice drink (tax included 500 yen) to go. On top of the matcha drink, there was whipped cream, and at the bottom, there were finely crushed warabi mochi pieces, allowing you to sip them through a straw similar to tapioca. The slight bitterness of the matcha and the elegant sweetness of the black syrup were a great match, enhanced by the creamy texture of the drink. The warabi mochi was chewy and had a smooth melt-in-your-mouth texture. The combination with the drink was excellent. It was more delicious than I expected. Although I initially thought it was a bit expensive, there was actually a generous amount of warabi mochi, so I am satisfied ☆

"Kamakura" is a sweet shop located on the north side of Osaka Tenmangu Shrine. They are famous for their warabi mochi, which you can enjoy at the small shop with about 7 counter seats. I ordered the zenzai for 680 yen, as they mentioned it was almost sold out. The zenzai had a gentle sweetness with perfectly chewy mochi balls. It also had two large pieces of warabi mochi, which was a pleasant surprise. The salted kelp served on the side was a nice palate cleanser. I wish they also served warm tea, but the matcha set was priced at 1200 yen, which seemed a bit expensive to me."

This is the area near Osaka Tenmangu Shrine♪ There is a menu displayed outside, and I found out that you can get Warabi mochi to go! The expiration date is just one day! I decided to buy it (@ ̄ρ ̄@)⚫︎ Souvenir Warabi mochi or Kamakura Warabi mochi - 6 pieces for 600 yen. Do you want to add black honey for an extra 100 yen? I said yes! (It didn't come with it originally). So, it cost 700 yen. You can also get takeout of 10 pieces for 1,200 yen or 3 pieces for 300 yen. I didn't know about the 3-piece option. There are about 4 seats at the counter inside, so you can also eat a little bit there! I enjoyed the Warabi mochi, it was so soft and chewy! I want to explore more traditional Japanese sweets!! (*´∇`*) It was delicious!

Near the entrance of Temmangu Shrine, there was a sweet shop. Inside the shop, there is a counter where about six people can sit. You can also get your order to go. Today, I had the strawberry yogurt warabimochi drink and Kamakura warabimochi. The warabimochi drink had strawberry pulp, perfectly cut warabimochi, and gentle yogurt with just the right amount of acidity. Honestly, it was so delicious that it could become addictive. The Kamakura warabimochi was chewy with a light dusting of kinako. It was delicious even on its own, but a little black syrup on top would be nice. I thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Thank you.

I visited the specialty shop for warabi mochi, "Kamakura" located near the back gate of Osaka Tenmangu Shrine. It is about a 3-minute walk from Osaka Metro Minamimorimachi Station and JR Osaka Tenmangu Station, right after passing through the Tenjinbashi-suji Shopping Street, on the way to Tenma Tenjin Hanjo-tei and Osaka Tenmangu Shrine.
- Warabi Mochi Drink: Luxurious Strawberry Milk
A strawberry milk drink with strawberry pulp, topped with plenty of cream, and filled with soft and chewy warabi mochi. The warabi mochi, which you drink with a slightly thicker straw, goes well with the moderately sweet drink. Personally, I prefer the warabi mochi drink over tapioca.
- Kamakura Warabi Mochi
Warabi mochi generously coated with kinako (roasted soybean flour). You can also have black honey drizzled on top according to your preference. The large warabi mochi has a chewy and melty texture, so soft that you don't even need to chew much. It has a mild sweetness.
They offer takeout options, making it a great choice for souvenirs. There is also an eat-in space, where you can enjoy a set of Asakawaen's matcha and warabi mochi.
