Hello, this is Average (^_^). I visited a Japanese tea specialty store called "Chasen Yuniwa" recommended by my favorite Japanese tea specialty store "Dochuan". In this area, there are places like Shokudo Yuniwa, Yuniwa Veggie Ramen, which are run by the same person. Looking at the menu, they offer a wide range of items including Japanese tea, Chinese tea, Japanese sweets, and Western sweets. I noticed an interesting Japanese tea blend called "Fuji Blend" and decided to try it.
Food (⭐︎3.6) - Fuji Blend: A blend of Uji and Shizuoka tea. It has a good aroma with a balance of sweetness and astringency, showcasing the characteristics of both Uji tea and Shizuoka tea. However, blending strong-flavored teas can have both strengths and weaknesses. The tea is self-served and comes with about 5 servings per person. Depending on how it's brewed, the taste may vary slightly. It comes with 3 types of tea sweets.
Service (⭐︎3.7) - Polite customer service.
Atmosphere (⭐︎4.2) - When I visited in October, the floor heating was working well. The store has a relaxed and calm Japanese atmosphere.
Cost-Performance (⭐︎3.3) - Fuji Blend costs 1600 yen. The tea ranges from 1000 yen. With tea sweets included, it seems like a reasonable price.
Overall, compared to touristy Japanese tea specialty stores in Kyoto, this place is a step up in authenticity. However, they also offer playful items like homemade blended tea and Western sweets, making it accessible to adults without a high threshold. In terms of tea, the prices are not significantly different from the high-end teas in touristy shops in Kyoto.

"This is a green tea set with the patisserie Yuniwa's dessert "Dacquoise". The red bean paste cream goes well with green tea, so please enjoy them together. *Green tea and Japanese sweets vary daily."

It seems like a new tea specialty shop has opened in Kamonoha(^-^) You take off your shoes before entering the shop, which has a simple and calming Japanese atmosphere. The menu offers about ten types of Japanese and Chinese teas, including many rare varieties like rock tea. Since I'm not very familiar with Japanese or Chinese tea, I ordered "Oohami" green tea for 500 yen. They brew the first serving for you in a small teapot, and it's really delicious! You can also enjoy two more servings on your own. They also have various sweets like freshly made warabi mochi. The service is very friendly and they even see you off when you leave. It's a wonderful tea shop where you can relax and enjoy your time.
