I arrived at Kansai International Airport by train from Rinku. With either a Nankai or JR ticket, you can exit from either gate as a special exception. First, I went to Sojibo (^ω^)● I had the cold mountain vegetable and grated yam soba for 840 yen. It was smooth and delicious with a nice chewy texture. The portion was a bit small though \(//∇//)\ I also had a refill of soba tea. Thank you for the meal~ Sojibo Kansai International Airport 3F store 072-456-6519 Osaka Prefecture, Tajiri-cho, Sennan-gun, Izumisano Kansai International Airport Terminal 1 Building 3F.

This place is said to have Halal certification, but aside from the mention of Halal in the menu, there are no special features. It's unclear what sets it apart from other restaurants in terms of Halal. I wonder if the shichimi on the table is Halal. Their menu includes cold noodles with mountain vegetables and grated yam, as well as a large shrimp topping tempura assortment.

On a regular Friday for work, I went to Kansai Airport and was surprised to see more shops open compared to my last visit. The FamilyMart on the second floor of the terminal is gone. There are plenty of dining options like soba, tonkatsu, Chinese food, and udon, so no need to worry about what to eat. It's hot today, so I opted for cold soba. Maybe due to the impact of COVID-19, the menu seemed to be reduced, even for drinks (which I didn't have). The recommended menu items are the Large Ebi Tempura Don and Zaru Soba set for 1080 yen, and what I ordered this time was the Large Ebi Tempura Don and Tsukimi Sansai Soba set for 1300 yen. The mini tempura don with large prawns, eggplant, and pumpkin on top of the soba was delicious with the light and tasty onsen tamago. Despite the few customers, just being open made me feel happy at Kansai Airport.

My go-to lunch here is negi mizore soba with fried mochi topping. It comes with delicious broth, green onions, grated daikon, and two small pieces of fried mochi. I prefer cold soba, but this is what they offer here. The portion size is just right.

On a regular Friday at 8:50, the restaurant was full of families with kids, possibly due to winter break. I ordered zaru soba and a beer. The dishes came out at different times, making it a bit difficult to eat. Thank you for the meal!

(As it became a "delay decision" due to AirAsia) We had some extra time before heading from KIX to TPE, so we decided to have a leisurely meal. We ended up eating soba for the first time in a while. I remember stopping by Sojibo when I went to watch a movie at EXPOCITY. For our order, my darling had the mountain vegetable soba set and I had the wasabi soba. Once again, we shared our meals and both were incredibly delicious. I would definitely want to stop by again when using KIX in the future.

The last dinner before heading to Thailand! For the final meal, I had to go with something Japanese! Of course, I chose Japanese soba noodles!! I asked for wasabi soba noodles. I had it before at a different restaurant and it was delicious, so I chose it again here! It's not too spicy but has a rich flavor and is delicious!

Just before heading overseas, I often opt for soba noodles instead of sushi, which I would like to eat upon my return. It seems like I want to finish quickly and lightly before departing. In this dining area, I tend to choose soba over flour dishes, Chinese cuisine, and udon. Today, I satisfied my hunger with a simple wasabi soba noodles. The soba and the broth are nothing special, but it's enough for my stomach before diving into heavier dishes later.

Lunch during a business trip. It's really crowded, maybe because it's the weekend before a 3-day holiday. It's my first time at Kansai Airport since Golden Week, and this time it's full of inbound travelers. I wonder if people from that country don't have a culture of lining up. Oh well, I'll just have to go with the flow. I ordered grated soba since I'm hungover. It arrived promptly. The broth is sweet, and the soba itself is chewy. Hmm, it's just average. They didn't bring soba water... Do I have to ask for it? Maybe because it's grated soba? Oh well, it's fine.

The soba noodles seem to have been boiled in advance and lack firmness. The tempura bowl consists of shrimp, pumpkin, and eggplant, with a large shrimp? The amount of rice and balance are not good. It's a bit disappointing as it might be misunderstood as Japanese soba noodles by foreign customers who expected Japanese food when entering the restaurant. It's a chain restaurant and costs 1000 yen including tax, so I guess it can't be helped.

After returning from overseas, I had dinner at Sojibou in Kansai Airport. It's a familiar chain restaurant, but my first time trying it. I had the curry nanban soba and chicken katsu donburi set. It was delicious, and it felt like a nice change to have Japanese food after a while. Lately, I've noticed that Japanese restaurants seem more affordable after coming back from overseas.

Before heading to Asia from Kansai Airport, I decided to stop by for some soba noodles. I ordered Kitsune Soba and Tempura Soba. The Kitsune Soba here is one of my favorite dishes, with the fried tofu soaking up the broth perfectly. However, I was disappointed to find out that they don't offer it at the Kansai Airport location. I usually visit the store in Umeda, where the menu is different. It was nice to have soba before my overseas trip, but I will definitely come back again.

I had to work at Kansai Airport, so I didn't have much time and wanted something quick to eat. I decided to stop by Sojibo and ordered the Cold Sansai Tororo Soba Set for 800 yen. The set came with soba noodles, mixed rice, and pickled vegetables. I prefer cold soba noodles, and this dish had a nice combination of mountain vegetables, mushrooms, grated yam, green onions, bonito flakes, seaweed, and tempura bits on top. The soba noodles had a good texture and tasted delicious. The mixed rice was lightly seasoned and a bit cold, but considering the price, it was satisfying. It was a quick and convenient lunch option when you're short on time.

I safely returned from my 4-night, 5-day trip to Seoul, which I went on somewhat forcibly. The train wasn't running on the way there, so a special bus from Rinku Town took me directly to Terminal 2, but on the way back, the train was back in service. Japan really acts fast! When I arrived at Terminal 1 and got hungry, some of the shops were still closed. I was open to having either rich Chinese food or hearty Western food, but my companion wanted something light. So, we ended up at a soba restaurant. I had the chilled Tsukimi-yama soba and chicken cutlet rice bowl set, which was the perfect meal to end the trip. I also had a draft beer and a soba highball. It was interesting to see that both the staff and the customers were mostly foreigners, giving the restaurant a unique atmosphere. After finishing the soba and chicken cutlet, I couldn't help but feel like I gained some weight during this trip.

I ordered the set of chilled tororo tsukimi soba, but the soba was slimy and not delicious. The service was also very different from other restaurants, with the staff practically throwing the dishes on the table. It was very disappointing. However, the chicken katsu bowl that came with the set seemed to be good as my child enjoyed it.

Before going abroad, I really wanted to eat soba noodles so I stopped by here. I chose the tempura soba. The tempura was freshly fried and really delicious!

I think having toppings is good. The portion was just right, not too much. I love grated daikon radish and tororo, so I added them as toppings.

When I occasionally fly for work, I often visit this restaurant. The best part is that they serve fresh wasabi with your meal. Unlike the tube wasabi, the fresh one has a pure wasabi aroma without much spiciness. The service can be slow due to the high number of tourists, but considering its location at Kansai Airport, it's understandable. I appreciate that they are able to convey the authentic taste to foreign visitors.
