On October 28, 2011 (Friday), I made a reservation and went to the restaurant. Despite being in my local area, I always seem to get lost on the way there (tears). It's on a major road, but for some reason, I always end up turning too early. Despite the slightly confusing location, the restaurant remains popular. And every time, even though I want to eat pasta, I end up choosing the meat course. Even though I know that the pasta is not included in the course, I still went for the meat course and even paid an extra 300 yen for beef this time. It's a bit annoying that the regular price of 1,900 yen for pork or chicken becomes 2,200 yen for beef! It's a bit extravagant for lunch, but it's payday today, so why not splurge a little! The meal consisted of appetizers, meat, bread, dessert, and it was delicious as always. Finally, after multiple failed attempts, I was able to make a reservation at Daniel. I'm not good with commitments, so I prefer not to be bound by time. I visited the restaurant without a reservation on a weekday afternoon, only to be turned away. But to my surprise, the place was full even though it's a remote location. I was curious! So, I kept calling for reservations on weekdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, but it was always fully booked. I know that calling on the same day is not the best approach, but I don't like making reservations in advance. I managed to make a reservation for 1:00 PM after calling in the morning. The place was indeed full. Despite the remote location with no other restaurants around, it was crowded. The lunch options included a 1,300 yen pasta lunch, a 1,700 yen fish course, and a 1,900 yen meat course. I opted for the meat course. I really wanted to eat pasta, but I also craved meat. This course did not include pasta. The meal included appetizers, soup, bread, meat dish, dessert, and coffee. The appetizers were cute and varied. The meat was pork loin with cheese sauce, tender and delicious. The vegetables were also diverse. The dessert had three options, and the coffee was a nice finish to a satisfying meal. It's not a cheap lunch, but indulging in French cuisine like this once in a while is worth it. However, the crowdedness... it doesn't feel like a once-in-a-while thing. Do people visit this restaurant regularly? Next time, I want to go for the pasta, but the reservation...
