Visited for dinner for the first time. The server was a charming female waitress. It used to have a reputation for long lines, but on a weekday night, it was about 70% full with some empty seats. Me: I'm just one person, is that okay? Waitress: You're handsome, so it's fine ♡, with hospitality overflowing. ... Anything else? And then, explanations of dishes with long cooking times, different fish types depending on the day, and today's recommended dish, as well as the type of man I like and even a contact number ♡. ... Joking aside. Me: Let's settle this once and for all! Waitress: We're a red and white place here! A playful banter-filled, hospitality-filled service. ... Whatever. Anyway, I ordered a draft beer (Ebisu) for 390 yen. It is an honored brand of beer chosen by me for its rich flavor brewed with 100% malt and elegant bitterness from German hops, making it the number one beer that goes well with Western food. ... Anything else? For appetizers, I had Daikon with Porcini Mushroom Cream Sauce for 200 yen. A special dish in red and white (I don't know) where daikon simmered in consomme falls apart in a creamy sauce that is unlikely to use cream due to the price, but with the rich flavor of dairy fat, combined with the aroma and umami of the renowned Porcini mushrooms, creates a unique, gradient of flavors that spread throughout the mouth, and it tastes really delicious! For the main course, I had Beef Red Wine Stew for 890 yen. I chose from the new menu, probably a cheek meat beef bourguignon with a sauce sweetened with Madeira wine, paired perfectly with a rich mashed potato puree with a good amount of butter, which is my favorite taste and tastes better than average. And the total bill was around 1600 yen including tax. Although it is Japanese-style, the foundation of French cuisine is solid, and a bistro that can create such high-quality dishes at this reasonable price is probably only Red White in all of Japan. This may sound like an urban legend, but I personally think it is not an exaggeration. I'll definitely come back when there's no line. Thank you for the meal.
