The taste of the meat was more like a hamburger with a scent on the surface rather than beef tongue. I think they probably grilled it on the same grill as the hamburgers. The tongue stew also had a good flavor, but it was smaller than I had imagined from the menu photo. Well, the taste was good, so I ended up eating a lot of rice. However, there is no call bell to ask for seconds, so you have to call out to get their attention. This is a must in a place of this size. By the way, rice refills are free here. But some parts were hard! It felt like it had dried out in the rice cooker. Overall, the rice was a bit tough. They offer barley rice, but it's the same. This place seems to be positioned as a family restaurant for beef tongue. They don't have the green chili miso paste that is usually found in beef tongue restaurants. Also, the tail soup was quite disappointing.

Also, I wasn't too happy that the spicy miso paste was an additional charge. I think I prefer beef tongue restaurants where you can see the meat being grilled on charcoal right in front of you. But I was still curious, so I decided to give it a try and visited for the first time. I had the Negi Shio Lemon Beef Tongue Yakiniku set, and my partner had the Upper Tongue Yakiniku set, and we shared them. The meat was very tender, and the grated yam side dish was seasoned with a nice dashi broth, so delicious that I had to get a second helping of rice! The refill was free! Definitely coming back again! I hope they keep going strong and not let the coronavirus defeat them!

It was refreshing yet I couldn't stop eating. KG also finished his meal quickly. The extra beef tendons were just okay (laughs). This restaurant is definitely one of the places worth visiting. It was a delightful meal!
