"Ikkuan" is a confectionery shop. We didn't plan to visit Furano, but ended up going on a trip to Furano and Biei today. We parked at the Marche, where there is a ramen shop. Across from the ramen shop, we found a confectionery shop with a sign that read "Warabi Mochi." We decided to stop by on our way back. They had warabi mochi, dango, and cakes. We bought "Warabi Mochi," "Mitara," and "Sakura Mochi." The staff was efficient. The dango had a nice red bean filling, which was unusual. It was a bit sweet but delicious. The grass dango had a strong grass flavor, and it was tasty. The mitara was also sweet but good, with a slightly loose red bean paste. The sakura mochi was not too sweet, but it had a watery texture, which was a bit strange. Overall, everything was delicious, and we thought it was a great confectionery shop."

I received this as a souvenir. It was delicious, like eating a baked pudding. I could eat as many as I want (lol). I have never been to Furano, but I imagine there are many delicious sweets and stylish shops. I definitely want to visit!

I used a Line coupon this month to upgrade from a regular size soft serve to a mega size, so I got a mega serving of amazake soft serve and a new chocolate mint shake. I'm happy because they usually only offer mega servings once a month, and it's hard to go after 4pm when you live in Asahikawa. Both were very filling, and the soft serve was made firm so it didn't melt while I was eating it. It was great!

Near Furano Marche 2 in September 2019, there is a famous dish called "Lavender Waffle." I was curious to try it, but unfortunately, it was already sold out. I ended up buying a strawberry cheesecake tart for 450 yen and a pudding a la mode for 380 yen from the store. The cheesecake tart was delicious with strawberries and cream on top, while the pudding was good but lacked any special features. I was disappointed I couldn't try the Lavender Waffle, but overall, the desserts were enjoyable.

This place offers a variety of soft serve ice cream flavors that change daily, including large servings. You can enjoy unique flavors like watermelon, melon, and fresh cream soft serve. However, the flavors vary depending on the day, so be sure to check the calendar. The soft serve portions are generous, and you can use a coupon for a chocolate topping service. I put on too much chocolate and had to eat quickly! 😄

The store has a small parking lot in front and offers a variety of Japanese and Western sweets, as well as soft serve ice cream. They also have a seating area for dining in. I ordered the "Furano Half-Baked Pudding" and the "Fresh Cheesecake Tart". I hesitated a bit when ordering because they didn't have flashy appearances. However, they turned out to be delicious and safe choices. It's hard to go wrong with pudding, but I wish it was richer. Overall, it's a decent and safe option.

You can walk from Furano Marche. The location is good. I had a waffle. They bake it on the spot and serve it on a stick. Let's see... Hmm. It's not good. It has a strange taste, a kind of off-flavor. To put it bluntly!! Eat it when it's cold!! When it cools down, the sweetness stands out and it becomes a delicious waffle.

In February 2016, I revisited the place because I heard that their chocolate was delicious. I made sure to buy the cheese flavor that I enjoyed last time as well. Both flavors had a firm cream filling inside, not too runny, and with a strong presence. The chocolate had a slightly bitter taste, which I found delicious. Some people prefer to eat it frozen, but I decided to microwave it halfway through because I wanted to try it melted. Unfortunately, I overheated it, and the chocolate started to flow out. It turned into a chocolate fondue situation, which was not what I intended. Despite this mishap, both the chocolate and cheese flavors were delicious. In January 2016, I visited Ichikuan and bought their Furano wine yokan as a souvenir, and also tried their skewered dumplings. I didn't pay much attention to their flagship product, Hyakujiki, at that time. However, after reading a review on Tabelog yesterday praising the deliciousness of Hyakujiki, I suddenly felt the urge to try it. Today, I found it at Furano Marche and immediately purchased it. I couldn't wait and ate it in the car. It had a satisfyingly fluffy texture. Inside the fluffy biscuit, there was a butter cream, or was it cheese cream? It had a bumpy texture - wait, is there cheese in it? Oh, right, the package said cheese cream. I didn't realize that when I bought it. I wasn't familiar with Hyakujiki before, but it was delicious! The cream texture, the cheese flavor, and the balance with the sponge were all excellent. I usually don't buy these kinds of snacks, but this one was really good. It could become a popular souvenir from Furano, in my opinion. I didn't even know about it before. I wonder if I should try the chocolate cream flavor too.

While looking outside from Bus Stop 2 at Furano Marche 2, I spotted Ichikuan and dashed over in excitement. I was eager to try their waffles, which looked interesting and delicious in the photos on Tabelog. However, to my disappointment, they were closed that day. Feeling a bit let down, I decided to try their dango instead. There were many varieties to choose from, including "ume" which was new to me. Ultimately, I settled on my favorite, the sweet potato anko dango. To my surprise, it was incredibly soft and the sweet potato anko had just the right amount of sweetness. It was delicious! I'll have to come back for the waffles next time. Thank you for the meal!

I visited the long-established confectionery shop "Ikkyuan" in Furano after a long time. The old store used to be located across the street, but they moved to the other side due to the opening of Maru2. The relocation took place in 2014. Even though I am from Furano, I didn't realize it. Next to it is a Chinese restaurant called "Suigetsu." Today, I purchased an eclair that they are particular about custard cream. They also had various Western-style and baked sweets available. There is a small seating area in the corner of the shop, and they offer a great deal with a drink. I didn't know they also serve soft serve ice cream. It seems like if you enjoy your favorite cake here along with a drink, it becomes quite a good deal, especially when Maru2 is crowded.

On my way back from the bakery in July 2012, I stopped by a shop that had some puddings that were featured on a TV show. Although I wanted to try the cute belly button manju pudding, I realized I had bought too much already and decided to pass. However, I couldn't resist the tempting grass dumplings next to it, so I ended up buying just two since I could eat them on the bus. The grass dumplings were average, but the plum paste was amazing! The white bean paste with a refreshing plum flavor is highly recommended for the upcoming season. As for the puddings, the pumpkin one was too rich, the milk pudding was ordinary, and the half-baked pudding was okay. I actually preferred the honey pudding I had at Tomita Farm a while back.

In any town, there is always a pastry shop. This is especially true in tourist destinations like Furano. However, whether the business caters to tourists or locals can greatly affect its nature. "Kashiya Tsukasa Ikkuan" has been operating a confectionery shop on Higashi Gojo Street, which continues from Furano Station, for nearly 30 years. The longevity of its establishment reflects its dedication to the local community. Additionally, it has a tenant in the JA Zennoh supermarket, "Ecop Asahikawa Furano With Store," which further demonstrates its strong connection to the local area. A popular local treat is the "Furano Fresh Caramel" (650 yen). When you roll it on your tongue a few times, the caramel slowly melts like butter, spreading sweetness gradually. This unique quality is characteristic of fresh caramel. Compared to traditional caramel, it has a stronger caramel flavor, richness, and creaminess. The milk used is sourced directly from a dairy farm known to the pastry chef, and the fresh butter and cream are also produced in Furano. These ingredients are carefully simmered to create the perfect caramel. While fresh caramel is often associated with souvenirs sold at airports or Hokkaido product exhibitions, this fresh caramel is oriented towards local consumption. As a result, it has received minimal media exposure. However, after consulting with Ikkuan, it is now available for online shopping on "Otoko no Sweets Dot Com." Soon, you will be able to enjoy these treats at home! Another popular local delight is the "Furano Half-Baked Pudding." Made with Furano milk, eggs, cheese, and cream, this custard pudding is a true delight from the land. The smooth custard texture is a result of the use of fresh cream, cheese, and condensed milk, creating a unique pudding experience. The pure white milk vanilla pudding, known as "Furano's Gift from Cows," is also available. These puddings will also be available for online purchase soon. This visit to Furano was not just for leisure but also for business. It was to explore the products that will be featured on the upcoming "Otoko no Sweets Dot Com" online shop. During this visit, we had some wonderful encounters. Thank you to everyone who assisted us!

I checked the reviews and decided to buy "Momotoki". I thought it was just a financier, but it turned out to have thick chocolate sandwiched between the financier dough! It felt quite rich and delicious. I slightly regret not trying the cheese as well (;_;) It should be delicious if you freeze it, no doubt!

I went to the shop after seeing the reviewer's post. It is located across the road from Marche 2. When you enter the store, you will see skewered dumplings and waffles in front of you, but the main target is Momotoki... as you look around the store, you will find it in the showcase. There are two flavors, chocolate and cheese. It was so delicious. And cheap! The cost performance is too good. It's a shame that I only bought one each of chocolate and cheese because it was my first time. The ganache had a rich and intense flavor. I had it at room temperature, but it seems delicious if chilled and turned into a raw chocolate. It gave me a satisfaction similar to eating a regular chocolate cake. It would be a great souvenir as well. I wish I had bought more. Thank you for the meal.

I visited Hokkaido on a gourmet trip in the summer, hoping to try the Lavender Waffle, but unfortunately it was sold out. However, there were other delicious options available, so I tried the plum dumplings instead. Plum paste is not something you see often, but the sweet and sour flavor of the plum was very refreshing! It was a new and delicious taste. In addition to waffles and dumplings, they also sold cream puffs and cakes. I really wanted to try the Lavender Waffle though.
