On the first day of my first trip to Taiwan, I headed to the luxury hotel brand "Hoshinoya" operated by Hoshino Resorts, which pursues an overwhelming sense of extraordinary. I learned that "Hoshinoya Guanguan" opened in the mountains outside Taichung, a 2.5-hour drive from Taipei. While I have stayed at all 5 facilities in Japan alone, I always travel with a friend when going abroad due to language barriers. We departed from home at 5:30 in our car, parked at the Kansai Airport Terminal 2 parking lot, and went through check-in, security, and immigration to arrive at the boarding gate area before our 7:50 am Peach flight. With over an hour before boarding, we had breakfast at "Osaka Gotchi Shokudo" in the international boarding gate area. I chose the shrimp cutlet & egg tartar sandwich set with hot coffee, while my friend chose the roast chicken salad sandwich and iced coffee. The sandwich from "Oriental Bakery," the top share in the Kansai area, was delicious with crispy shrimp cutlet and fluffy bread. After boarding Peach, I regretted choosing the front seat and checking in my baggage as there wasn't much difference from a JAL flight. The Peach cabin attendant was beautiful but lacked detailed service or smiles. We arrived in Taiwan and began our 3-day trip, staying at Hoshinoya Guanguan on the first day, exploring Taipei on the second day, and visiting the National Palace Museum on the third day before returning to Osaka. In February 2020, before heading from KIX to TPE with Peach's wings, I had breakfast at the "Osaka Gochi Shokudo" located near the boarding gate at Terminal 2. I ordered the sandwich set for 650 yen, which included an iced coffee and a roast chicken salad sandwich. There were several sandwich options to choose from, and I picked the one with sesame bread filled with chicken salad, along with egg salad, lettuce, and tomato. I personally preferred the chicken salad one. It was a delicious meal!

One hour before boarding at Kansai Airport, I visited Osaka Gochi Shokudo near the entrance for the first time. I ordered a set of assorted kushikatsu with beer to help me sleep on the plane. It took a little time for the food to be ready, but I waited using the call terminal. The quality was simple, like something you would find at a rotating sushi restaurant. I didn't see any particular attention to detail, but that's what I expected. The prices were set high due to the location, regardless of the quality. I recommend having your meal here and getting drinks from the duty-free shop next door. Thank you for the meal!

In November 2018, I had to go to Tainan for a Pokémon event. I decided to use PEACH and go via Kaohsiung, so I moved to T2. It was my first time at T2 International, but surprisingly the departure process was smooth. I had about an hour before boarding, so I first got a hojicha latte at Nana's Green Tea, and then checked out the "Osaka Gotchi Shokudo" next door. The menu had Osaka-style dishes like takoyaki, kushikatsu, sobameshi, and yakisoba. I decided to buy the takoyaki for 594 yen for 8 pieces, which was a bit pricey but expected at the airport. After a short wait, the takoyaki was ready. I sprinkled some shichimi on top and dug in. The takoyaki batter wasn't fluffy or crispy, more like fried? But the inside was creamy and flavorful, with a good portion size. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal!

The real departure was supposed to be on the 13th! If the flight is canceled, there won't be any cancellation fees, but I can't depart and I've already taken time off, so I really want to go, right? After much deliberation, I finally made a reservation for the 15th with Peach, the only airline that was still flying at that time. Two days before the flight, it was finally canceled. Dealing with the cancellation and changes was a hassle! No one was answering the phone anywhere in this situation. In times like this, it's really troublesome if you're not on a tour. I ended up having to shorten my trip by one night, the flight price went up, and the departure time was later. I can't do anything today! Well, at least being able to go is better than nothing, right? I tried to cheer myself up and decided to eat something while waiting for the 8:00 PM departure. It was my first time going to the international terminal at the airport, and it was kind of plain. I think I'll stick to the domestic terminal from now on. There weren't many options for restaurants, so I went to Osaka Gochi Shokudo and tried the soba rice and beer set. The menu also had options like takoyaki and kushikatsu, which are typical Osaka dishes. The taste was just average, like frozen food, but it was enough to satisfy my hunger. I'll arrive around 10:00 PM, so I'm looking forward to trying some delicious local food when I get there. That's what I was thinking at the time.

At Kansai International Airport Terminal 2, there is a restaurant called Osaka Gochi Shokudo where you can enjoy playing with paper airplanes while waiting for your flight. I wanted to arrive early, but ended up wasting 2 hours because the flight was delayed. However, the airline provided beer and snacks to the passengers as an apology for the delay. Gentle and mild flavor. Soft and gentle soba noodles. I had cold kitsune soba as my last meal. There is a hot water server next to the restroom, and you can buy cup ramen at the convenience store.

Before my trip to Korea, I tried the first terminal 2. The green onion takoyaki and katsu sandwich were delicious because they were freshly fried. I haven't had alcohol in years, but I ended up drinking five beers since it was the only option available.

I had lunch with my daughter at a restaurant near Kansai International Airport Terminal 2 before boarding Peach Aviation. The menu offered a variety of dishes from takoyaki and okonomiyaki to kushikatsu and curry. My daughter ordered tonkotsu shoyu ramen for 853 yen, while I had curry rice for the same price. It was quite crowded as it was lunchtime, so it took a while to pay and receive our food. We used some shareholder discount coupons from Create Restaurants HD to cover part of the bill. The restaurant is conveniently located near the boarding gate, making it easy to use before the flight. I would definitely like to visit again when using Terminal 2. ^_^

On a regular morning at 7:30, I decided to have breakfast before boarding the plane, so I tried the new restaurant inside the departure gate. There were various menu options, but not many were suitable for breakfast. After some consideration, I chose soba noodles over a sandwich. It wasn't too crowded, so I didn't have to wait long to receive my meal after paying. I carried the tray to one of the tables around the restaurant. I ordered tempura soba for 1134 yen (including tax), which seemed a bit pricey. The restaurant was called "Osaka Gochi Shokudo," but the soba was more like Kanto-style with a dark and salty taste. Interestingly, they had soba but no udon noodles. I wonder why?

In May 2017, I traveled with Peach Aviation and visited one of the few restaurants in the restricted area. It's called Osaka Gotchi, so I guess the concept is to have Osaka food. The appearance is not very Osaka-like, more stylish. So, I decided to try the Takoyaki & draft beer set for 1,100 yen. It may seem expensive, but considering the beer is 800 yen, it's not too bad. The Takoyaki wasn't freshly made in front of me, but it was decent, and I enjoyed the sauce. Overall, it was a rare opportunity to eat right before departure. You can still eat at the second terminal international area even after entering the restricted area. Thank you for the meal.
