I recently visited the top-class yakiniku restaurant Jiro, which offers excellent performance within a budget of 5000 yen. This restaurant is known for providing affordable and delicious meat and hormone dishes due to their purchase of a whole Omi beef. This time, I would like to introduce their new menu items. The Lemon Tan Steak consists of four thick slices of pork tongue steak for less than 1000 yen, which is surprisingly affordable. The perfect balance of garlic and salt in the seasoning makes it addictive, and the refreshing taste of the pork tongue itself makes it incredibly delicious. The Meat and Negi Roll is a luxurious dish made with plenty of leeks wrapped in Omi beef. When grilled to a crispy and fragrant finish, the texture and aroma of the leeks combined with the richness of the meat is truly delightful. Lastly, Jiro's famous Omi beef hormones, the Gobou Maruchou with skewered burdock, the Maruchou with thickly sliced liver, and the Hormone Five Variety Platter, all seasoned with a sauce that is addictive and makes the rice disappear quickly. The Omi beef oil offal and chive ramen as a finishing touch surprisingly has a refreshing soup flavor, making it a great way to end a yakiniku meal. Although it was my first visit in a while, I was once again impressed by the high level of this yakiniku restaurant within the 5000 yen price range. I think it's quite rare to find a place where you can enjoy Omi beef meat and hormones at this price, so I highly recommend it.

I loved the thick-cut liver, it was so creamy and delicious! This restaurant offers half sizes so you can try various types of meat. The Omi rice was incredibly tasty! Everything was delicious and the cost performance was great, so I definitely want to go back again! Make sure to try the fresh kimchi!

This is my second time using the points card I received before, and I couldn't resist coming back because they said they would give me free kalbi meat. This time, I received the following: - Omi beef Yukhoe (thinly sliced raw beef) for 988 yen. It was surprising to see the thinly sliced meat type, and it was delicious with orange and egg. - Yamaimo Kimchi for 548 yen. The yamaimo (Japanese mountain yam) was coated with kimchi seasoning, and it was incredibly tasty. - Beef tongue for 878 yen. Just a regular beef tongue dish. - Self-proclaimed premium small intestine for 548 yen. It was chewy and delicious. - Napa cabbage and white leek Chorogi salad for 438 yen. Served on a large plate, it was great in terms of cost performance and extremely delicious. It can be eaten with meat endlessly. - Thinly sliced kalbi (complimentary) for 658 yen. Can I really get this as a complimentary dish? It had a comforting taste that went well with white rice. - Lemon cold noodles for 988 yen. It was so delicious, almost like a ramen shop quality. I loved the taste, and it was a waste to add vinegar to it, so I enjoyed it as it is. I will definitely go back for the third time to get the famous live kimchi demonstration as a gift from the points card. Thank you for the meal.

The restaurant is located across from Kyobashi Park, making it easy to find. The upper harami, tongue steak, and lemon cold noodles were especially delicious! The rice is cooked in a pot after the order is placed, so it takes some time. Even though you think of delicious meat and rice together, there may be a gap without rice in between, haha. The sauce for yakiniku and lemon juice are set in advance, making it easy to eat. The staff were energetic and polite, which was nice. The only downside was that I was charged for a more expensive drink that I didn't order. Also, I thought it would be easier to order if there were some pictures of the dishes on the menu. There are still more dishes I want to try, so I will definitely go back!

Jiro's red meat, bulging harami, top-notch kalbi, and fluffy hormone (forgot the name) were all delicious. Each type of meat had a good amount of marbling, and when you chewed, the smooth fat seeped out like a drink, sliding down effortlessly. It would be a waste if you didn't chew thoroughly. We couldn't take photos of all the dishes, but even though we were full with three people, we decided to revisit because the cost performance was great at just a little over 3,000 yen per person. The fresh kimchi was like a salad, the negi maki, lemon tongue, and donabe rice were all recommended dishes that impressed us! The almond tofu was rich like a milk pudding ⭐️ We also appreciated the almond tofu service for LINE registration.

I tried eating kimchi for the first time and was surprised that it wasn't spicy. It goes really well with beer. The kimchi has a shelf life of 15 minutes, so it's best to eat it quickly. The clay pot rice takes about 20-30 minutes, so it's recommended to order it first if you're in a hurry. We ordered a small portion of 1.5 cups for two people, but we should have gotten 3 cups instead. The alcohol and rice both go down smoothly.

The tongue was the best, maybe the best ever. The skirt steak was also the best. I wanted to order more, but it was sold out, so I went with the upper skirt steak, but I still prefer the skirt steak with more red meat. I also ordered the clay pot rice, which I had been longing to try "Japanese old-fashioned rice," but I found it a bit too moist for my taste. This is a matter of preference, right? The cold noodles had firm noodles and the flavor was to my liking. We went with 4 people and ate 8 servings of tongue, it was so delicious. The fresh kimchi is also recommended. The other kimchi was delicious too, but fresh kimchi is the best. The crunchy Chinese cabbage is irresistible. The staff's service was good, and the speed from ordering to being served was impressive. The yukhoe was a new experience for me, so I posted a picture. Yukhoe is the one with the raw egg on top. I was worried that the meat would run out before the rice arrived because the clay pot rice takes a little time, but the cold noodles arrived before the rice, haha. Anyway, it was delicious. Thank you for the meal. Will definitely come back.

I went to Kyobashi to try out the recommended live kimchi by an acquaintance. The place was called Yakiniku Jiro. As I entered the restaurant, I was greeted by the hustle and bustle of a typical downtown yakiniku joint, with round stools crammed together. The staff were energetic and pleasant! Then came the live kimchi. A large napa cabbage mixed with a spicy gochujang-based sauce. It was crunchy yet juicy, and you could ask for refills! It was my first time trying something like this, and it was delicious. The yakiniku, the horumon, and the cabbage salad were all tasty! I loved the casual atmosphere without any sense of luxury! I will definitely come back again.

Today, I had a ladder drink of potato salad, macaroni, and cholegi at Yakiniku Jiro, which I had been curious about because macaroni said it was meaty. It's my first time trying yakiniku in Kyobashi, so I'm looking forward to it. It's a 5-minute walk from Kyobashi Station, and there are more than 20 tables in the large restaurant. The benefit is that they have a happy hour on weekends, so you can get beer at a good price. I ordered a beer right away for 190 yen, which is cheap. The cholegi was delayed, but we didn't mind and placed our order. While waiting for the cholegi, we ordered macaroni to eat. The fresh kimchi is made in front of you and the cabbage is crunchy and delicious. The cholegi salad was a large portion, and the fresh tripe with vinegar miso was tangy and refreshing. The yukhoe made with Omi beef was served with egg yolk and was delicious. We dipped it in yakiniku sauce before eating. We ordered a variety of meats to go with the macaroni, including red meat and hormone for the cholegi. The red meat went well with the rice, and the hormone was delicious with sesame oil and salt sauce. We added garlic to the sauce and enjoyed the meat on the grill. The smoke made our eyes sting, but the reward was excellent yakiniku. We ordered more rice because it was so good. Then, we ordered the "Kobutan," which is tongue, leeks, and lemon cooked on kelp. The combination of flavors was unique and delicious. Finally, we tried the "Tanshabu," where you cook the tongue in a pot with sesame oil and garlic. Everything we tried at Jiro was delicious. I would like to come back for the happy hour next time.

I wanted to eat hot pot, but it was already closed, isn't it? It was around 21:20, and according to Tabelog information, they are open until 22:00. I turned back and went to a restaurant that my junior recommended. I was curious about this place even before hearing about it, but they only open at night. Since it's Monday, I thought it would be empty, right? It was around 21:25, and about 60% of the seats were filled. I was seated at the counter in the back and ordered oolong tea, top Yukhoe (Korean beef tartare), top sirloin, kalbi (marinated beef short ribs), rice, thinly sliced kalbi for rice, and top harami (skirt steak). It started in about 5 minutes. The oolong tea was okay, the top sirloin was tender but just okay, the top Yukhoe was crispy, maybe it's the garlic? I didn't feel it much, just okay. The kalbi and top harami were just okay, the thinly sliced kalbi was okay. The green onions were sweet and tasty. The meat was tender, but the sauce was just okay and the meat flavor was not that strong. The price was reasonable, so I can't really recommend it. I paid 4938 yen with a card and left.

Thick-cut grilled meat is definitely delicious. Thin cuts are not as good. However, some dishes have very little meat, which is quite disappointing in terms of quantity. The homemade kimchi they sell is just average, you'd be better off ordering regular kimchi. It's basically just cabbage mixed with kimchi sauce. This is a letdown. Also, their famous clay pot rice takes 30 minutes to come out, which can be annoying if you want to eat rice while enjoying your grilled meat. And after confirming that it's almost ready, turns out it was actually for another customer and they hadn't started making mine yet... They said they don't have regular rice available either. It's kind of a hassle. The total bill was over 10,000 yen for a normal meal, so it's unlikely I'll go back.

I made a reservation for Yakiniku Jiro in Kyobashi a day in advance because it was fully booked on the day of my visit. The restaurant was always crowded with customers who couldn't get in, showing its popularity. The thick-cut grilled liver was delicious and I couldn't resist getting seconds. The kimchi, made right in front of us, had a crispy texture from the Chinese cabbage and a special sauce that made it a perfect side dish to munch on. The garlic-topped Galbi tongue, premium harami, premium mino, and lean meat were all delicious, especially when paired with the silky smooth Koshihikari rice from Shiga Prefecture served in a clay pot. Everything was truly delicious.

Every year on the last day of work, it is a tradition for me to go to a yakiniku restaurant alone. This time, I happened to see this restaurant on Instagram. I made a reservation at the end of November, but by mid-December, it was already impossible to book for the end of the year. They serve a variety of dishes, starting with premium Omi beef yukhoe, tongue, harami, lean meat platter, and hormone platter. There are also non-Omi beef options, but the focus is on Omi beef. It may be a bit pricey for a solo yakiniku meal at around 8000 yen, but considering it's Omi beef, it offers great value. The restaurant has a new look but deliberately maintains an old-fashioned yakiniku restaurant atmosphere, which is quite cozy. The service was also very good.
