After the state of emergency was lifted, I really wanted to eat meat and drink alcohol! I decided on yakiniku, and had been wanting to try out Isshi, which seemed fine for dining alone. It's located on the 2nd basement floor of a building near Osaka Station, around the escalator. I arrived around 5:00 pm on a holiday evening. It seemed empty, but they had reserved seats and I just made it in. I dined alone and was seated in a standing area near the entrance. You can order meat by the slice, and they cut it for you after you order! So it doesn't come out right away. I had to wait for the fresh meat. - Negi Shio Gyutan: Thick slices of beef tongue with lots of green onions inside! I ordered two slices, and they were delicious and tender. The green onions inside stayed in place while grilling, which was nice. - Special Kalbi: Also very tender and delicious! Dining alone allows you to go at your own pace, which is great. You can enjoy various types of meat one slice at a time, which is enjoyable. I also ordered about 3 more types of meat and 3 beers, and the total bill was around 4000 yen. It seems they have different cuts of meat on different days, so I would like to go back again. It was a delicious meal!

I visited a stand-style yakiniku restaurant after work because I was craving meat. I ordered a set that came with kimchi, a meat platter, and a drink, which was a great deal. The variety of meat in the platter was satisfying and delicious. The only downside was that it was a bit hot because you have to cook the meat yourself in a standing style setting. When it comes to standing yakiniku in front of Osaka Station, I can only think of Moichis. For someone who doesn't eat a lot, this place is a lifesaver. The raw items like liver, tripe, and skirt meat are processed cleanly and delicious. The fatty bamboo shoots and heart are excellent. Also, the harami and salted tongue, like two pieces each, are just the right amount to eat, so you don't feel overly full or like you pushed yourself too hard. It's a place with a high level of happiness! Of course, I will visit again.

On this day, I went to a standing-style yakiniku restaurant called "Tachigui Yakiniku Ichibo" at Osaka Station Building with a business associate. I have been wanting to try this place as I pass by it often, and finally got the chance to do so. We ordered the "Thank You Set" for 1280 yen, which includes a drink, assorted yakiniku, and kimchi or namul. The assorted yakiniku included wagyu ichibo, salted tongue, toro hormone, harami, heart, and wiener. The meat was delicious and fresh, with a good balance of lean and fatty cuts. We also ordered the "Fresh Trio Assortment" for 780 yen, which includes urute, teppou, and raw senmai. This was a popular item and we were lucky to get it as there were only 10 servings available. The meat was tender and flavorful, and the variety of tare sauces added to the enjoyment. I was looking for a place that opens at 4 pm because I have a flight later. Matsutake, which is part of the Ichimatsu group, opens at 4 pm, but it was closed. So I found this place. It's a standing yakiniku restaurant. There are many places in the underground shopping area in Umeda where you can drink from daytime. It reminds me of the atmosphere in front of Shinbashi Station in the New Shinbashi Building! During happy hour until 6 pm, you can get a Jim Beam highball for 180 yen! Honestly, the first set I ordered wasn't that delicious, but if you pay more, the meat becomes tastier, right? The most expensive Hanesita was the most delicious. The presentation is also different. When dining alone, ordering a full serving can sometimes be too much, so restaurants like this are truly appreciated. The beef tongue, liver, and beef tendon were all delicious and satisfying. On May 9, 2023, I visited the "Tachigui Yakiniku Ihosaki Second Building Store" located in B1 of Osaka Station Front Building 2. This popular restaurant is known for its great cost performance and casual standing-eating style. I started with the "Otsukaresama Set" priced at 1280 yen (excluding tax), which includes drinks, kimchi, and delicious meat dishes. The beer for a toast was creamy and delicious. The meat dishes were surprisingly generous in portion size. In addition to the set, I also tried the premium A5 ranked meats including A5 ranked Ichibo (400 yen), A5 ranked sirloin (380 yen), and premium harami (350 yen) with a delicious salt-based sauce (220 yen). The A5 ranked meats, especially the Miyazaki-produced ones, were incredibly delicious. The premium harami was also flavorful and had a good texture. The cost performance at Ihosaki is exceptional, and I couldn't resist having five highballs priced at 180 yen each. Overall, the meat was delicious, and the highballs were a great deal. I ordered the "Otsukaresama Set" for 1280 yen, Techan for 120 yen, grilled liver for 80 yen x 2, spicy Kalbi for 210 yen x 2, salted tongue for 180 yen x 2, and tongue Kalbi for 180 yen x 2. I wanted to have some yakiniku by myself. It's interesting that you can order from just one piece at this standing yakiniku place. First, I got the Happy Hour set. When I ordered a highball, the glass was ice-cold! Being able to eat one piece at a time is great! The sweet and thick sauce goes well with rice! I had to put it on the rice! The rice seems to be cooked in a clay pot, it's fluffy and the grains are firm, and it goes perfectly with the sauce! I added a little more. The tongue Kalbi had a good crunchy texture and juiciness. It's nice to be able to enjoy yakiniku casually! Thank you for the meal.

We used it for the second drink during the day! The taste was excellent, no complaints! Even though it was the second place and during the day, it cost over ¥5,000 per person, but we are big eaters, so the cost performance was not that bad... haha. One piece of yakiniku can be quite expensive, but after trying the salted beef tongue, try the green onion salted beef tongue and be amazed by the flavor! It's not about eating a lot, but enjoying each piece. Other types of offal can be eaten for around 100-200 yen, so definitely go during happy hour until 6 pm! Also, the famous sukiyaki may seem unnecessary when drinking beer, but it's recommended to try a small size set. In the end, I ended up wanting rice afterwards!

I moved from the neighboring shop to this shop. I have been to a major chain for yakiniku by myself, but this is the first time I have been to a yakiniku restaurant where you can order by the piece. The price per piece is cheap and easy to order, so if you want to eat your favorite yakiniku at your own pace, this shop is good! I wonder if the staff who cut the meat (the manager?) is particular about it, because the timing of the meat coming out is slow, so it's better to order the ones that will come out quickly first. When you're hungry, it feels like it's taking forever, so it's better to order quickly.笑

At the second restaurant we visited, they serve domestic A5 beef. The Negishio Tan features green onions between the slices of tongue, but if not cooked well, the onions tend to fall out (lol). While the Harami and the loin were delicious, the pickled vegetables weren't that great. I think a soy sauce-based sauce would have been better. The sukiyaki was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I met up with friends in Nishi-Umeda and had yakiniku at this restaurant in the station building. You can order meat by the piece. It's a standing restaurant so you can't relax, but the prices are really cheap. We got daikon kimchi as a starter, and I had cuts like middle rib and harami. It was really delicious.

Well, after eating sashimi at the stand, I felt like having something rich in flavor. It's a rare tendency for a sashimi-loving reviewer like me, but it happens occasionally (lol). I thought about going to a ramen shop next, but wait, there's also yakiniku which has a rich taste. And there was a shop I was curious about... So, I arrived at this place, Yakiniku Ichio. The signboard outside had an appealing menu called "Happy Hour - Otsukaresama Set" Σ('◉⌓◉'). As soon as I entered, I was guided to the counter seats at the back. I asked the waitress if it was possible to change the heart of the "Otsukaresama Set" since I can't eat internal organs, but it seemed impossible. Well, the set comes with kimchi that I won't eat, so I decided to order a la carte. I started with a glass of draft beer (^o^)/ Here, you can order meat by the piece. I chose 2 pieces of medium rib, 2 pieces of top skirt, and 1 piece of ichibo from the tags hanging on the wall behind the counter. I really wanted to try the loin as well, but when I asked the master, they said they didn't have it today. They cut the meat after you order here. After a short wait, it arrived *\(^o^)/* All the meats looked great. Besides the 3 types of meat, it also came with pumpkin and shishito peppers. The gas stove in front of me started blazing up as they put the meat on it. I adjusted the grilling to make sure it doesn't burn too much on the surface. It's interesting that you can order by the piece at a standing BBQ place! First up, the "Good Job" set! Negi salted tongue, loin, harami, weiner, teppanyaki, liver, pumpkin, shishito peppers, and beer. The harami part is really delicious! I always end up ordering it when it's available! I forgot to take a picture, but the rice cooked in the clay pot was amazing! The grains were so plump! Thank you for the meal!

I came to a standing yakiniku restaurant located on the basement floor of Osaka Station Front Building No. 2. You can order a single slice of the yakiniku meat you want to eat. It feels more like a convenient yakiniku restaurant for eating a little meat rather than enjoying a full yakiniku meal. I noticed the "Otsukaresama Set" during happy hour. I will have the shochu (barley) with water from the Otsukaresama Set. The Otsukaresama Set included the finest misuji, salted tongue, tetchan, kalbi, and heart (upper harami), but it may vary depending on the day. The slices are quite small, so it's a bit underwhelming. The Otsukaresama Set was supposed to come with kimchi, but instead, it came with bean sprout namul. Maybe they ran out of kimchi? Weekday station building pub crawl tour 4th stop 16:00 Two guests were already there, ordering fish. Since they had fish, I opted for meat! Tried the tongue sashimi, harami, and negi shio tongue... Looks cheap at first glance, but each piece is small... Hmm, overall satisfaction level may have been low. It's a place you can drop by casually, but in terms of quality and price of the meat here, it may not be worth going back for. Not great!
