I wanted to try Genghis Khan during my trip to Hokkaido, so I made a reservation and visited "Genghis Khan Otaru Annex" in Otaru, where they offer lunch on weekdays. The area around the restaurant is called "Sushi Restaurant Street," and there are sushi restaurants everywhere, but I was going to a Genghis Khan restaurant (laughs). The seating at the restaurant is in a tatami room, and the Genghis Khan pot is portable rather than built into the table. Since I don't usually eat lamb, I ordered the staff-recommended lamb dishes. The platter included loin, leg, shoulder loin, and lamb tongue, totaling 200g, along with a vegetable platter and minced wasabi. The menu also mentioned that they serve Suffolk breed sheep for consumption, and the recommended loin was a rare cut, so I was very excited. Despite being a bit overwhelmed with other customers, the staff managed to serve the lamb platter. It was said that it was okay to eat it somewhat raw, but I decided to cook it a bit and try it with their special sauce and a blend of twenty types of salt and pepper. My first impression was that the lamb had no noticeable gamey smell, and the taste was superb. The meat was thick and had a good texture, and each cut had its own unique and delicious flavor. It was an experience that I rarely have, where every part was tasty. I also ordered minced wasabi, but I found that I was satisfied with the default sauce and salt and pepper blend. I heard that they have a main branch in Sapporo, so I definitely want to visit there as well. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

The raw lamb was delicious! I could only get a little, but the fillet was tender and refreshing, and delicious! I ordered about 5 recommended dishes from the staff. In the end, the plain seasoned raw lamb loin and shoulder loin were the best. There was a mix of salt and pepper seasoning on the side, and it was also delicious to eat a little bit of it. Of course, there was also sauce available. The restaurant is located on the sushi street, and we walked along the canal before climbing a gentle slope to get there. The interior of the restaurant is quite small, with both tatami seating and a counter. At the counter, about 4 couples can sit, and in the tatami area, about 3 groups of 4 people can sit. There were many female staff members, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. It would have been nice to have some kind of dessert to finish off the meal.

I made a reservation in advance for my trip to Otaru. Just like with Emomo Misaki, this was a place I had been wanting to visit for a while. This time, I decided on all the meals by myself, based on my own preferences and biases (laughs). We entered the restaurant with five people at the reserved time. After ordering drinks, we were informed that they had a limited supply of lamb fillet today. However, it cost over 2000 yen per serving, so what would we like to do? We decided to order one serving for now. Then we ordered small portions of various cuts to try, and the staff suggested that we order the cuts we liked individually. We started with the limited fillet. It was one piece per person (laughs). They instructed us to grill it for about 30 seconds on each side before eating. When we tried it, it was unlike anything I had ever tasted. There was no raw or gamey smell, just a strong flavor of the meat. It was delicious. Then we tried the loin, shoulder loin, lamb tongue, raw lamb, seasoned lamb, and salted lamb, among others. They were all delicious. There was no unpleasant smell or taste that usually comes with lamb. We could fully enjoy the flavor of the meat. I recommend eating it with salt, which was the best way to enjoy it. The fillet, loin, seasoned lamb, salted lamb, and lamb tongue were the best (almost everything, haha). This place is considered a high-end restaurant compared to regular Genghis Khan restaurants. If you come in very hungry and eat until you are full, the bill might surprise you, so be careful (laughs). Order little by little and savor the flavor of the lamb. That's enough. They serve the best quality meat here. It seemed like they only accepted reservations that day, as all walk-in customers were turned away. I'm glad I made a reservation. I definitely want to come back. Thank you for the meal!!!

Tonight, I was originally planning to visit a popular Genghis Khan restaurant in Sapporo, but I got tired from walking during the day and decided to return to Otaru earlier. When I searched for a restaurant, the first one was "fully booked for today" and the second one said "OK if you come at 7:30". I relaxed in the open-air bath on the top floor of the hotel, enjoying the dusk at Otaru port, and then walked to a sauna nearby, about a five-minute walk from the hotel. The restaurant is located on a street called "Sushi Street" which has around 20 sushi restaurants. This restaurant is the second branch of a popular restaurant in Susukino, Sapporo. I arrived at the restaurant at the reserved time. The interior of the restaurant was not very spacious, with three tatami rooms and a counter seat. I was guided to the counter seat where two women were in charge. Genghis Khan! I have had a Genghis Khan-like dish in my younger days at a beer garden, but honestly, this was my first time having real Genghis Khan! First, a shichirin (charcoal brazier) with onions and bean sprouts on the side was brought out. The waitress explained to me that this restaurant buys a whole branded sheep, so they have a lot of confidence in the quality of the meat! The meat can be eaten raw, and if you sear it for 3-40 seconds, it can be eaten. There is also a sauce, but it is said that it is delicious to eat with salt and pepper. I left it to the waitress and tried five different cuts of meat. I started with the meat that still had some redness left. Hmm! It was tender with a good chewiness, no odor, and very juicy! It has a completely different deliciousness from beef or pork! Delicious! I could eat as much as I want! This trip to Hokkaido. Sapporo ramen and soup curry are delicious as expected, but this Genghis Khan exceeded my expectations, completely changing my perception of Genghis Khan so far! Delicious! My wife is also very happy. The onions and bean sprouts were delicious too, soaked in the tasty fat. The bone-in kalbi was juicy, and I added more Genghis Khan raw lamb, bean sprouts, and onions. I was completely satisfied and full. Thank you for the delicious meal.

This is a restaurant in Otaru where you can enjoy delicious Genghis Khan (Mongolian barbecue). It seems that the main branch is located in Susukino. I recommend making a reservation. Even on a weekday night, it felt like you couldn't get in without a reservation. I chose the course that the staff recommended. It was satisfying to be able to eat various cuts of lamb at a good cost performance!

We visited this restaurant for a family trip. It was our first time trying Genghis Khan, and we were all very satisfied with the tenderness and deliciousness of the meat, including the children. The energetic staff members were very friendly and provided excellent service, which made us very happy. (*•̀ᴗ•́*)و♡

Visited with one other person around 4:30 pm. Made a reservation through Tabelog before visiting. No smoking allowed, but there is a bench outside with a makeshift ashtray. I have been to the Susukino location multiple times, but this was my first time at the Otaru location. I felt that the quality of the ingredients was consistently high. The food was delicious, but the prices were somewhat high. The Otaru location is quite spacious compared to the Susukino location. The service was also good. We ordered the Genghis Khan set menu (along with about five drinks). It was interesting to see a Genghis Khan vending machine in front of the restaurant.

I used this restaurant during my trip to Otaru. They serve fresh meat that you quickly grill for about 40 seconds before eating. I tried the recommended 5 kinds of meat platter including fillet, loin, and tongue. It was my first time trying Genghis Khan, but it was really delicious without any strange smell. The only downside was that the white rice wasn't very tasty.

I had some delicious and tender raw lamb without any gamey taste at my second stop. It was from Iceland, which is quite rare, and I splurged on the fillet cut. I enjoyed it with a special blend of salt and pepper spices, as well as a tasty sauce. The manager was very polite and made me feel at home. This Genghis Khan restaurant, tucked away on the sushi street, was a lifesaver (it's really hard to find places open after 9pm). The food was great too. The interior was a bit dirty, but it added to the charm.

It was a very lively atmosphere and the young female manager was very kind and cheerful. As soon as we sat down, she introduced us to the daily meat selection. We decided to leave it up to her and she prepared various types of meat for us, from tongue to loin, allowing us to enjoy different cuts. The lamb meat was freshly processed that day, so it was extremely fresh and had no gamey taste at all. My mother, who usually doesn't enjoy lamb meat, found it delicious that day. Due to its freshness, no extra sauce was needed, and it tasted best with just simple salt and pepper. This is definitely a restaurant I would recommend.

The taste was very good, but the price was surprisingly high. We made a mistake by leaving it up to the chef, and even though there were only two adults and one toddler, the bill came close to 20,000 yen. It may have been our fault for looking like typical tourists. If they are serving expensive rare cuts, they should inform customers about the prices. The lamb on the menu is not expensive, so I think it's safe to order from the menu.

I visited this restaurant because I wanted to try delicious Genghis Khan (grilled lamb) during my trip to Hokkaido. It was my first time trying Genghis Khan, and I found it very easy to eat without any strong flavor. According to my friend from Hokkaido, Genghis Khan usually has a distinct taste, so this place was unique. I recommend trying the shoulder loin and lamb chops (French lamb rack). If you want to taste a variety of flavors, you can also order a set with about 6 different types of meat. It was so delicious that I want to come back with my family next time.

On the first night of my Hokkaido trip, after having seafood during the day, we decided to have meat for dinner and visited this restaurant for Genghis Khan (Mongolian barbecue). The friendly female staff served us promptly. We were recommended a few types of raw Genghis Khan at first, and they were delicious without any unpleasant smell. We then ordered marinated meat, but honestly, it had a bit of a smell. I understand they marinate it to get rid of the smell, but it was unnecessary as the raw meat was fine. The bill was on the expensive side, and the cost performance was not great. Even considering it's a tourist area, it was still pricey. I love Otaru, but I probably won't be coming back here next time.

We visited Otaru during our trip to Hokkaido with 4 people and made a reservation. The staff offered us a special platter and we also ordered the lamb chops, which were tender and you could even eat the cartilage. The special salt seasoning was incredibly delicious. However, since we were recommended the platter by the staff, we didn't know the total cost until we paid, which was a bit disappointing. Nevertheless, we were very satisfied as there was no gamey taste. If you want to eat Genghis Khan, this is the place to go! We will visit again.

I was originally planning to go to a shop in Sapporo, but I decided to come here instead. The Suffolk breed raw lamb was delicious, tender, and had no gamey taste. However, the lychee was served with the skin on, which made it unpleasant in terms of appearance and texture. I wish they would put more care into their work. As for the service, it felt like they were targeting tourists due to the holiday season, and the sales pitch was a bit strong. Well, there were quite a few customers trying Genghis Khan for the first time, so maybe it couldn't be helped. I thought the bill might be a bit higher, but it wasn't that expensive.

I had decided to have Mongolian barbecue for my year-end dinner, so I visited for the first time. Mongolian barbecue is known for the unique taste of lamb meat, but this restaurant buys whole lamb from Iceland, so the meat has very little gamey taste compared to other places. I tried raw lamb, lamb tongue, loin, ribs, and even a special fillet not on the menu, and they were all easy to eat because of the lack of gamey taste. It was delicious, thank you for the meal!

[Genghis Khan: A Delightful Experience with Fresh and Tender Lamb] The restaurant, with a memorable name, specializes in Icelandic (Suffolk County) fresh lamb. To start, they serve onions and bean sprouts as a delicious appetizer that absorbs the meat juices, creating a perfect combination. For a group of three, we ordered four different types of lamb dishes, totaling 4345 yen. The lamb used is from the leg area, with only 5-6 servings per head. The menu includes loin, shoulder loin, lamb tongue, and additional options like pork ribs, chicken skewers, and baby lamb, which weighs around 7 kilograms and is butchered on-site. The lambs are raised on a diet rich in minerals like seaweed, resulting in a light and tender meat with no overpowering taste. Locals who grew up eating mutton may find it lacking in flavor, but it still satisfies. The sauce is tasty, but the 20-blend salt mixture, a secret recipe from the owner, is also excellent. They serve Sapporo Classic beer, which can be upgraded to a larger size. The small Otaru location has been open for a year, while the Sapporo Susukino branch has been around for 17 years. Looking forward to visiting again!

The night part of Otaru has started (。•̀ᴗ-)و ̑̑✧ Huh? Genghis Khan in Otaru? Yes, I'm planning to have sushi after this restaurant!! When in Hokkaido, I must have Genghis Khan in Otaru... "Thinking that, I made a reservation here three weeks ago." This is the second branch of the Susukino main store, offering rare and high-value Icelandic sheep meat, as well as Suffolk breed lamb with a focus on quality that is unique to Otaru. I decided on this place because I had a delicious meal at the main store and it was definitely worth it... When I arrived at the reserved time, the place was completely full, but the super female manager? was handling everything by herself with amazing efficiency (#゚Д゚)y-~~● Classic (draft beer) 605 yen × 2● Galana highball 550 yen● Chopped wasabi 440 yen● Asparagus 440 yen● Assorted Genghis Khan 4 types (loin, thigh, shoulder loin, lamb chops) I managed to get a seat at the counter and we toasted with a Classic beer!! Ah, drinking in Otaru at night is the best (^^)♂♂ Although there are individual menu items available, I went with the recommended assorted meat platter with 4 types. "The charcoal-heated Genghis Khan pot is ready with vegetables lined up." I grilled the Suffolk breed loin, thigh, and shoulder loin!! Hmm, it's delicious but it doesn't quite match the excitement of the first time I had it at the main store, maybe because the portion is smaller and the quality of the meat has decreased? I asked for more charcoal to be added to maximize the heat... The key to Genghis Khan is the heat. The thigh, which has more lean meat, was more delicious than the loin and shoulder loin. The asparagus and chopped wasabi were also great!! The lamb chops I had last were thick and absolutely delicious... The best one. If you're having Genghis Khan in Otaru, I recommend this place (*´∀`) Thank you for the meal~♪【Tabelog】☆3.16【Tanuki Rating (night)】★Overall... 38 points★Atmosphere... 7 pointsFood... 8 pointsSignature menu... 9 pointsCost performance... 7 pointsLikelihood to revisit... 7 points.

Genghis Khan. The "Genghis Khan" restaurant in Susukino, Sapporo, has opened a branch in Otaru Sushi Yokocho. The branch is called Otaru Bettei, known for serving high-quality Suffolk lamb. I had been invited to a reception by the president at the Susukino branch before, and my partner and I even went there to eat because it was so delicious. We had planned to visit the Sapporo Genghis Khan restaurant again once things had settled down, but recently found out about the branch in Otaru, so we decided to go there with my partner and daughter. Despite the name of the restaurant, which suggests a Genghis Khan theme, the menu and experience are quite different from the typical Genghis Khan restaurants. They offer a variety of lamb cuts, including sirloin, lamb tongue, ribs, and more, which is unusual for a Genghis Khan restaurant. The freshness of the lamb meat is also impressive, as there is no gamey smell typically associated with lamb meat. The experience of eating high-quality lamb meat here is quite different from the usual Genghis Khan experience. We started with the sirloin, which was incredibly tender and delicious. We also tried the lamb tongue, which was a rare cut and equally tasty. The lamb meat can be ordered raw, marinated, or with salt, and each option offers a unique and delicious flavor. The rib meat was juicy and tender, with a sweet fattiness that made it irresistible. The lamb rack, with bones attached, was a unique and satisfying experience. The president of Genghis Khan restaurant even visited the Otaru branch while we were there, and we had a pleasant conversation and took a photo together. Overall, the experience of eating high-quality lamb meat at this restaurant was exceptional, and I highly recommend it to both first-time Genghis Khan eaters and those looking to try a new and luxurious dining experience.

Otaru has a new restaurant on Sushi Street! The entrance is small but welcoming, with friendly female staff greeting you with a smile. I sat at a raised seating area and tried the raw lamb, which was tender and had a great texture. The lamb tongue was also delicious. I started with the kalbi, then added some seasoned lamb for more flavor. The original blend of 10 types of salt was tasty, so I recommend using salt over sauce. If you're in Hokkaido, you might want to try the Genghis Khan style lamb, although it's not like the traditional version. The quality of the meat is excellent. However, if you prefer lamb rolls or M Genghis Khan, this place might not be for you. I recommend it for those who are not used to the taste of lamb and have tried it in various places before. I was also curious about the seafood bowl, but it was a bit pricey at over 3000 yen, so I'll have to try it another time. Overall, it was a delicious meal!
