I went to EAS Takao to try out the new store, but ended up getting trapped by Kakiyasu Koufukudo. I bought two types of sakura mochi, one with white bean paste and one with pink white bean paste, one of each. I also bought three types of dango - soy sauce, mitarashi, and kinako, one of each. Additionally, I bought two types of ohagi - one with red bean paste and one with kinako, three of each. I shared the ohagi with the volunteers at an event, and enjoyed the dango and sakura mochi with coffee at home.

Yesterday, after enjoying delicious ramen in Hachioji, we stopped by a commercial facility in Takao for my child's lunchtime. There is a BabyZaras at Iias Takao, where we changed diapers and replenished milk. We also bought some baby supplies. This commercial facility is really spacious, with plenty of free parking. On our way out, my dear wife bought a snack from a store here. I had a taste. Since it was just a taste, I won't be posting it on my timeline. "Pione Daifuku" for 248 yen (tax included) is like grapes wrapped in sweet bean paste. It has a mix of Japanese and Western flavors, but personally, I really enjoyed the fruity taste of the Pione. I feel like a little less sweet bean paste would be better. My dear wife liked it, so it's just a matter of preference. Considering the price, I think it's a well-made sweet. Thank you for the meal. I tried posting a takeout review for the first time since updating the Tabelog app. I wonder how it will be displayed? By the way, it seems that the reviews won't show up on the store's TOP page unless you update the Tabelog app.

Big size for 100 yen! With the reduced tax rate, it's 108 yen! An ohagi with plenty of sweet red bean paste and plenty of roasted soybean flour. It's 1.5 times the normal size! I always wonder why there's so much roasted soybean flour. No, why there's so much in it. It feels like a waste to throw away the leftover roasted soybean flour. I'll save it for tomorrow's breakfast (lol). I ate it around 10 PM, so I'm full! Thank you for the meal.

I'm at EAS Takao. Of course, there was Kofukudo. It seems to be a staple in malls, but I wonder how many stores they have nationwide. On their website, there are over 40 pages with 10 stores listed on each page. The sales of Kakiyasu Honpo's traditional Japanese sweets business in December last year were close to 800 million yen, which is quite impressive. The minimum is a stack of 100 yen. This time, I tried the classic ones: *Ohagi with kinako (108 yen) *Ohagi with sweet bean paste (108 yen) The balance between sweetness and the amount of satisfaction when eating was just right. It was seriously delicious. (#7974)

The chain store "Kuchifuku-do" is likely found in most commercial facilities. They sell one piece of dango for 80 yen (excluding tax), which is reasonable and easy to use. I purchased one mitarashi dango for 80 yen (excluding tax). Before serving, they generously coat it with sauce. The surface of the dango was slightly firm, perhaps due to being left out for a while. The sauce is rich but not overwhelming. The dango itself is chewy and well-cooked, but the strong sauce flavor might overshadow it.

I visited EAS Takao, which MyRebi-san had been reviewing daily. It is a spacious two-story shopping center like an American shopping mall. On the first floor, there were fresh food items, and on the second floor, there was a food court. However, since it was around 8:30 pm, some shops in the food court were closed. As I was looking around thinking of buying something to take home, I noticed this shop on the first floor. They had a new product called Sweet Potato Cream Dorayaki. When I opened it, a sweet potato fragrance filled the air. The filling inside mainly consisted of sweet potato but with cream added, making it moist and smooth without the usual starchy texture of sweet potatoes. I think it would make a great souvenir. Looking back at the review later, I realized that this shop has quite challenging items, and I might end up visiting again if I come across it somewhere. (2017.9.9)

Banana Daifuku (banana cream), Mitarashi Dango, Ohagi (with soybean flour) - I went to Kufukudo in EAS. The lady at the counter kept offering samples of bracken rice cakes (they were delicious). The lady at the register seemed inexperienced, as she was a bit slow (but she was friendly). The Banana Daifuku had an artificial banana flavor and the white bean paste was overly sweet (the chocolate cream was sold out, that might be tastier). I prefer Mitarashi Dango to be a bit firmer with a grilled finish (but for 70 yen, it's cheap). My wife really enjoyed the Ohagi and kept saying how delicious it was.
