Aoki Matsukaze-an, well-known for the famous confectionery "Tsukigesho" in Kansai, is widely used for souvenirs, everyday sweets, and even Western sweets. This time, in celebration of the 35th anniversary, a sweets buffet was held. There was a thick wall of pre-registration at the store for me from Kanto (naturally, as it is a festival for regular customers), but two months before the event, I visited Osaka and purchased the freshly made Tsukigesho and tickets. With determination, I was able to enjoy the anniversary celebration...w I apologize for being a lawless person who ignored the significance of the event and made a sidestep...:(;´꒳`;):( I have a passion for the store, so please forgive me...! So, feeling a little small, I participated in the event at the large venue of Kishiwada Nami Kirihall (hence the review is for the Kishiwada store). The seats were at round tables for banquets with free seating & shared seating style. I sat with four local couples and had a lively atmosphere around the table (❁´ω`❁) Buffet table Starting from those who arrived at their seats first, the festivities began. The long buffet table had many staff members waiting, creating a festival-like atmosphere! Numerous live sweets, a cake showcase, and the usual rice crackers and packaged sweets were on display, with the iconic Tsukigesho taking center stage ♪ I immediately headed to the live demonstration corner. The most popular items were the freshly made shortcake and freshly made strawberry daifuku! One notable thing about the sweets was the abundance of live demonstrations! Counting them, there were ① Freshly made shortcake ② Freshly made strawberry tart ③ Freshly made strawberry mont blanc ④ Baumkuchen cut service ⑤ Mochi mochi pie ⑥ Freshly made wagashi & matcha ⑦ Stylish strawberry daifuku ⑧ Freshly made mikasa (dorayaki) ⑨ Freshly made strawberry dorayaki ⑩ Freshly made grilled zenzai About 10 types of live demonstrations. This was the most live demonstrations I've ever seen! \(◎o◎)/! I later heard from the staff that this anniversary buffet was planned with the intention of providing things that can only be enjoyed freshly made. For example, wagashi that cannot be made in advance. Normally, if you increase the amount of yam in wagashi, the texture becomes loose, but it quickly hardens if left for a while. This wagashi cannot be made in advance. It had a softer and higher quality taste than the wagashi I have eaten before (the addition of apple pulp was unusual!). And the taste of the freshly made shortcake was amazing! The beauty of the fresh cream that you can be sure is delicious just by looking at it. An angel! (I can share photos if you'd like...) The shortcake was so popular that they switched to cupcake style towards the end. The stylish strawberry daifuku was a hot double-layered mochi wrapped quickly around a large strawberry, and it had a softness that I had never experienced before (●´ω`●) I was also happy with the white bean paste inside. I won't be able to introduce everything, as it would be too long (comments are briefly added to the photos). But everything, from cakes to wagashi to sweets, was delicious! And the delicious taste of umeshu tea with a hint of saltiness after enjoying all the sweetness. I felt warm and fuzzy with the two older sisters sitting next to me (happy). There was also a performance of koto and shakuhachi halfway through, ===========
