A reasonably priced izakaya run by a young owner. The clientele is also on the younger side, and due to the layout of the restaurant, the voices from other tables can be quite loud. When the restaurant is busy, there may be delays in serving dishes, but the food is generally top-notch. While it doesn't seem like they particularly focus on high-quality ingredients, their talent for simple seasoning and well-balanced flavors shines through. They do have a keen eye for fresh fish, even serving sashimi as a complimentary appetizer. The fatty tuna and crunchy amberjack are to die for. Handmade sausage-style gyoza for ¥580 is a standout dish, with the filling encased in a sausage casing and a satisfying texture. The fluffy deep-fried taro for ¥380 is a simple dish of peeled taro with a thin crispy coating, a bit on the salty side but makes a good drinking snack. The half-cooked leek omelet for ¥480 is more like a leek omelet that was first cooked and then had beaten eggs added later. It goes perfectly with ponzu sauce at an izakaya. The skewers for ¥100 each are lightly coated in a crispy batter and easy to eat. Sometimes skewer shops have overly sweet sauce, but here they use a tangy Worcestershire-based sauce that is very appetizing. The Taketsuru highball for ¥580 is a bit higher than the standard price for Kurume, with the regular highball priced at ¥480.

We decided to have a meal at Marufuri because it was the first prince's birthday and only the family members at home were present. We made a reservation online just before going, and also requested a birthday plate, which they kindly accommodated. The staff at Marufuri always provide excellent service, and we are grateful for that. The restaurant has a stylish interior with each table having a different atmosphere. The owner and staff are all young and handsome, with friendly and polite manners.

When we first visited, we were impressed by the unique and delicious spiral gyoza, and ended up ordering more. The variety of dishes is plentiful, and the sashimi is fresh and delicious. The fried skewers are crispy and satisfying. The restaurant is conveniently located near Nishitetsu Kurume Station. The food was very delicious, and we will definitely visit again. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

All-you-can-eat and drink for less than 4000 yen! I thought it was a good deal, but then I was surprised by the gyoza! It seems to be a place my friend often goes to, and we were able to relax and chat in a private room.
