From the New World, just a short walk away, Naniwa Shinkaze is hosting a super spicy challenge. This time, after many years, I took on the extremely spicy Kamikaze Challenge - Kamikaze Stage I! The challenge is to finish the noodles and soup within 15 minutes. Only water is allowed! Seeking challengers for the super spicy Kamikaze Challenge and the ultra spicy challenge! Stage 1 → Stage 2 → Final Stage. Finish within 15 minutes to receive a free ramen voucher, headband, and have your photo displayed in the restaurant! Kamikaze Stage I costs 1200 yen. Last time, I tried the Trial Stage during my lunch break at work and had an experience where I couldn't leave the bathroom for a while, so nervously moving on to the next stage! Due to the time limit, I couldn't take many photos, but at first, I thought "Yum!" However, because you have to finish the soup as well, the spiciness of the soup is intense. I finished with 6 minutes and 20 seconds left. So, I can now challenge the next stage! I highly recommend everyone to give it a try! - Naniwa Shinkaze Address: 5-5-19 Nipponbashi, Naniwa-ku, Osaka 556-0005 Phone: 06-6647-0728 YUKIYA's ordinary yet extraordinary daily life #ramen #rameninstagrammer #ramenlover #spicy #spicyramen #naniwashinkaze #shinsekai #nambagourmet #tennoujigourmet #nambaramen #tennoujiramen #osaka #newworld #tsutenkaku #follow #followme #likeforlike #follow4follow #f4f #likeforfollow #followforfollowback #followback #フォロー #フォローミー #フォローバ #フォロバ100

I went to Ebisucho-machi in Naniwa-ku, Osaka for some errands. For lunch, I went to a ramen shop right near Ebisucho-machi station. I ordered the Naniwa Shinkaze ramen (seafood tonkotsu) for 800 yen. As a reopening service, they offered a free serving of gyoza. I had tried the Naniwa (soy sauce tonkotsu) before, so I decided to try something different, but the soup was just like dipping noodles soup. It was not bad, but I was hoping for a bit more uniqueness. The noodles were medium-thin and curly. The bowl had plenty of chopped green onions, bean sprouts, lightly seasoned chashu slices, and half a boiled egg. The gyoza they served as a bonus were small but very delicious. Next time, I might try their curry.

After drinking, is it okay to have a meal here? I tried the Salt Triton and Mini Fried Rice at a shop along Sakaisuji Street above Ebisucho Station. The soup is rated 3.2 for its salt tonkotsu flavor, which has a refreshing mouthfeel. However, it's not completely lacking in tonkotsu taste. A faint tonkotsu flavor that lingers in the nose is just right after drinking. The noodles and toppings are rated 3.0. The noodles are medium thickness with toppings including 2 slices of chashu, bean sprouts, seasoned egg, and chopped green onions. The chashu doesn't have a deeply infused flavor, it's just okay. It tastes good, but if you're looking for something distinctive, it's lacking. By the way, if you order ramen, you get free gyoza which is a plus. Overall, I think the cost performance is very good, but in terms of taste alone, it's just average. That's my evaluation.

I think this restaurant is amazing because they seated a woman dining alone at a table instead of the counter past 12 o'clock. It can be a bit uncomfortable to be seated at the counter when dining alone, so having a table allows you to relax and enjoy your meal without feeling self-conscious. They even provide a call bell, so you can easily get their attention if needed. I originally went there seeking spicy ramen, but found out that you have to take on a 15-minute challenge before you can order the spicy ramen. I tried explaining that I had already tried the trial ramen before, but they insisted on following the order of the challenge. Since I enjoy drinking alcohol with my meals, I ended up ordering the regular ramen instead. The trial ramen wasn't spicy enough for me, and some sensitive individuals might not be able to finish it either, as I saw in some reviews. The 10-spice ramen at this place had a nice level of spiciness, which I think is just right. I can handle extremely spicy food like the "Gekikara Peyang" noodles without any issues. I don't consider those to be truly spicy. True spiciness should make you tear up and feel pain, that's what makes it truly spicy. I wish there were more places that offered that level of spiciness. I had the seafood tonkotsu ramen, which was delicious with its strong fish powder flavor and slight acidity, paired with curly noodles. The fried chicken was really tasty, and the gyoza was a nice bonus. The staff, including the handsome waiter, were all great. There were many salarymen and blue-collar workers dining there. Someone even ordered three extra noodle servings! This place offers one free extra noodle serving, but I couldn't handle it. I left feeling full and satisfied after enjoying the fried chicken, gyoza, ramen, and some alcohol.

I visited the restaurant around 12:30 on a regular day and left around 1:00. There were no customers waiting, so I think you can eat smoothly now due to COVID. I was seated at a table right away as a solo female diner. There was a TV, which was impressive. I tried the "Kamikaze Toaiaru" ramen. I have a lower tolerance for spiciness than most people, but I love spicy food. When I crave something spicy, I can handle extremely spicy noodles easily. The "Toaiaru" ramen was not as spicy as the "Gekikara Peyang" noodles. My lips tingled, but I didn't feel much heat. I sweated a bit, but it wasn't too spicy for me. The ramen was thick and rich, with a strong umami flavor. I didn't attempt the 15-minute challenge. I prefer enjoying spicy food while drinking alcohol, so I didn't take on the challenge. I just wanted to enjoy the spiciness. The staff were friendly and provided excellent service. I didn't try the challenge, but I wonder if I could finish the final dish next time. I will ask when I visit again. The foam ramen also looked delicious. The dumplings were average, but the fried chicken was tasty. The ramen was simply delicious. I have a low sensitivity to spiciness, so it may be too spicy for those with a sharp palate. Overall, it was a satisfying meal. Thank you for the food!

Tuesday 12:45 There were about 3 customers ahead of me. I achieved the trial last time, so it's been a while since I moved on to the next stage! Spicy Challenge Stage 1 ¥1200. Last time, I had intense stomach pain after returning home, so this time I decided not to drink the soup. Arrived. Oh, I didn't realize the soup was this thick... The miso flavor with a strong spiciness is delicious. I would say the spiciness is around level 10 of HIRUDORA. The spiciness in the noodles alone seems manageable, but the thick soup that remains hot until the end keeps the spiciness high. I briefly considered drinking the soup, but remembering the stomach pain from that day, I decided not to push it! I finished the meal without drinking the soup. However, about 6 hours after eating, I experienced intense stomach pain... It was at a level where I was sweating profusely, but it subsided after about 5 minutes... Phew. Unlike other restaurants' spicy dishes, for some reason, I get stomach pain here, so I think this is my limit for challenges at this restaurant. If you know of any other restaurants with extremely spicy and delicious dishes, please let me know!

The other day, after the spicy challenge, I went to try a non-spicy ramen this time. I chose a menu that I don't usually go for, called "Shin-aji" which is a fish and pork bone broth soup. Unlike the typical cloudy tonkotsu ramen, this one had a brownish color. When I tasted the soup, it had a strong bonito flavor. It was quite different from the usual tonkotsu ramen, with the punch of bonito dashi overpowering other flavors. And surprisingly, it was sweet! Some say ramen is a man's dessert, and this sweet soup felt like a sugary version of black coffee. The soup was light in texture, similar to tsukemen broth with noodles added. I added plenty of chili oil and garlic for extra flavor, and managed to finish it. I also had a mini fried rice on the side, which was unexpectedly flavorful and satisfying.

I went to the Kaminari (Extreme Spicy) Challenge at Naniwa Kamikaze in Ebisucho. This time, I advanced to Stage 1 after clearing the previous trial. The ramen this time looked strange from the start, with a thick and spicy soup that made me sweat just looking at it. The soup was so thick, like the kind you find at Tenkaippin, and it made me a bit nervous knowing it was packed with spices. As soon as the challenge started, I slurped up the noodles quickly. The spiciness was bearable, but I had to finish within 15 minutes to clear the challenge, so I had to eat fast. I kept mixing the noodles and soup in the bowl to cool them down and ate as quickly as I could. I finished in 10 minutes and 14 seconds, a bit slower than last time but still manageable. After finishing, I got a free gyoza dessert and took a commemorative photo with a cheki. The total cost was around 1300 yen after tax, but I got a free bowl of ramen for completing the challenge. They even offered complimentary yogurt after the meal, which was a nice touch to soothe my stomach.

Super Spicy! Ordered the Kamikaze Trial Stage for 1,100 yen. To eat the Kamikaze Ramen, you must first eat the Trial Stage, and if you don't finish it within 15 minutes, you can't move on to the next stage. However, I wanted to eat slowly, so I ordered without attempting the challenge. Gyoza was included for free, so I ate that first. As for the ramen, the soup was a strong miso flavor, but the spiciness was extremely intense even at the Trial Stage. I kept choking even though I ate slowly and carefully. After eating about half of it, I finally got used to the spiciness and enjoyed it. The spiciness was probably equivalent to level 8 or higher at HiriDora. At this point, it's hard to tell. I managed to finish it in just over 10 minutes, so I asked the owner if I could order Stage I next, but he said it wasn't possible since I didn't attempt the Trial. Maybe I should have tried it after all. It seems like the extra noodle serving was free once, but I forgot to order it. There was a TV embedded in the table in the semi-private room, so we enjoyed watching a variety show while eating. The Naniwa Shoyu Tonkotsu that my companion ordered was also delicious, with a light tonkotsu broth.

I often visit this restaurant for dinner because they are open until late at night. One notable thing about this place is that they serve a free serving of gyoza with each meal, which is a fantastic service! The gyoza here is small but generously filled, crispy on the outside, and of high quality. It comes with two types of dipping sauces, vinegar soy sauce and sesame sauce, making it extra delicious! I think I'll try their rice bowl menu next time. Thank you for the meal.

This restaurant is a ramen shop located in Ebisucho. The main dishes are shoyu tonkotsu, seafood tonkotsu, curry tonkotsu, and salted chicken broth tonkotsu ramen, along with other options like seafood tsukemen, aged sesame miso ramen, and abura soba. I ordered the "Shoyu Tonkotsu Ramen (800 yen)." The soup is a frothy shoyu tonkotsu style, with a white surface but a light brown color underneath. It has a smooth, emulsified texture, and the taste is sweet and savory, typical of frothy ramen soups. The noodles are medium-thin and slightly curly.

I visited for lunch. The entrance is small, but inside there are counter seats and box seats, so it's surprisingly spacious. I ordered the seafood tonkotsu ramen and fried rice. The ramen has a strong seafood flavor, which is a bit too intense but still delicious. The soup felt a bit powdery, but overall it left a memorable and tasty impression. Gyoza was served as a complimentary side dish, crispy and well-cooked. The taste was decent. The fried rice was also well-cooked, with decent flavor. The staff were friendly and cheerful, making the dining experience enjoyable.

Naniwa Shinku Nipponbashi Main Store in Ebisucho has a spacious interior despite its narrow entrance. There are plenty of booth seats, which is nice. The Naniwa soy sauce tonkotsu ramen for 728 yen plus tax comes with free gyoza (5 pieces). The soup is slightly cloudy but not overly creamy, which was a pleasant surprise and tastier than expected. The noodles are thin with a good firmness. Overall, it was a decent bowl of ramen.

I visited the Naniwa Shinfu Nipponbashi Main Store near Ebisucho Station along Sakaisuji Street. The location offers a perfect view of Tsutenkaku from the front of the store. Inside, there are table seats in the front and counter seats in the back. The staff offered a choice of "5 pieces of gyoza" or "1 piece of karaage skewer" as a service, and I chose the karaage skewer. The Shio Tori Ton Ramen came with toppings of 2 slices of chashu, half a seasoned egg, sesame, bean sprouts, and green onions. The medium-thin straight noodles had a good texture, and the creamy chicken and pork bone-based salty soup had a rich flavor with a slightly strong saltiness towards the end. The mini fried rice had a moderate amount of oil and a slightly strong seasoning, making it delicious. The karaage skewer had a hint of garlic flavor. The side menu for beer snacks was extensive, and there were various condiments on the table such as pepper, vinegar, chili oil, seasoned soy sauce for ramen, and dressing. Garlic is available upon request from the staff. There are 4 seats at the spacious counter and 2 tables (4 seats each), and the 3 energetic staff members were managing the place well.

This shop is open until late at night, and no matter when you go, the staff are always full of energy! The customer service is very pleasant. When I ordered beer, ramen, and fried rice, they surprised me by giving me dumplings as a service. My dinner suddenly upgraded and my mood improved. The ramen was also incredibly delicious, with a rich and creamy soup that was very tasty. Thank you for the meal.

I completed the Kamikaze Challenge Series, with only Stage 2 Final remaining. The peppers used were Scorpion and Carolina Reaper. I thought the last two would be tough, but Stage 2 was a breeze, finishing in my personal best of 3 minutes and 20 seconds. The Final was a bit challenging, but I managed to eat it without any issues (。•᎑•。). With the complete victory in the Kamikaze Challenge Series, I received a free ramen voucher, so I'll be going to enjoy a regular ramen next time٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

God Wind Challenge Series Stage 1 This time the chili pepper is Jolokia. Since last time I ate too fast and my mouth was in bad shape, this time I ate slowly. The only ones left are Scorpion and Carolina Reaper. I think the real battle will start from here. I aim for complete victory.

I participated in the Kamikaze Challenge series by Naniwa Shinku and Kushi Bar Channel. Although it was originally at Taisho Store, I tried the challenge at Nihonbashi Store due to the distance. I was surprised that I could eat so fast, finishing in my personal best time of 4 minutes and 6 seconds. The final stage was in the 12-minute range, so I aim to beat that record.

I visited during lunchtime on a regular day. The restaurant was quite busy, with customers coming in after me as well. I sat at the counter and ordered the Naniwa soy sauce tonkotsu ramen for 800 yen. Since gyoza came free with the ramen, I also ordered some. It was quite generous of them to offer gyoza for free. The food arrived in about 5 minutes. The ramen had a milky white color with bubbly surface, not what I expected from soy sauce tonkotsu. The soup was creamy and smooth, without any unpleasant smell. The noodles were thin and curly, but personally, I found them a bit mediocre, reminiscent of instant ramen noodles. The toppings included bean sprouts, moist chashu slices, and half a boiled egg. The gyoza, being free, tasted a bit like frozen ones. The restaurant also had a wide variety of side dishes and could be used for izakaya-style dining. The staff were very energetic, with loud and lively voices.

Monday 13:45. There was only one customer ahead of me and the parking lot nearby was almost full, so I parked a bit further away. Surprisingly, parking was free for the whole day! Great. I tried the super spicy Kamikaze Challenge for ¥1000, and also ordered some dumplings. The challenge was tough, but I managed to finish it in 11 minutes. The spiciness was intense, but the flavor was really good. I struggled a bit with the last bit of soup, but overall it was a delicious experience. After finishing, I was given some yogurt to cool down. Overall, a great meal!
