Kannon-ya's cheesecake. I bought it to take home just before it becomes a baked cheesecake. I bake it in my own oven, and while it's still warm, the cheese stretches out beautifully. It's not as cheap as a 10 yen bread, but the cheese stretches quite a bit, which feels amazing. The sponge is fluffy and melts in your mouth right away! Definitely not enough with just one! I want to eat more! So, it's a good idea to buy two per person. Be sure to go to the shop early as they often sell out quickly. I always pay close attention, except for the oven, but when I hit that perfect balance and finish it, it's a joy to savor.笑

I was curious, so I got takeout! It seems like you're supposed to warm it up before eating, but I didn't read the instructions and started eating without knowing, so something was off. The cheese part kept coming off. I was too tired that day to muster the energy to heat it up, so I just ate it as is. When I told my friend later, they scolded me for wasting it. Next time, I'll go to the cafe and eat it in good condition.笑

A cheese cake with a sweet sponge base and melted cheese on top. It's a unique type of cake that you can lightly melt in a toaster before eating. It was featured on TV a few times, which got my hopes up, but it ended up tasting more like a snack than a cake. It reminded me of a pre-packaged steamed bun with sliced cheese on top that you could bake. It was tasty, but maybe not what you'd expect from a Kobe souvenir. However, it was very affordable!

Exchanging souvenirs is fun, but when was the ban imposed on it~ No one follows it, including myself ( ´∀`) I skipped work for a day and had a French dinner with four people in Fukushima-ku, Osaka. Then we went for a second round at the Reach Bar in the Royal Hotel and drank a lot before saying goodbye~ We exchanged souvenirs and the next day I returned to work with lots of treats from my friends, but I only took one back home and ate it. It came with a detailed instruction manual on how to eat it. They've been in business for 50 years! Well, 50 years doesn't seem that long to me, but my head and taste have deteriorated, right? ( ´∀`)(sweating) You need to be careful with reheating it, but you can easily make a warm, gooey cheesecake in a toaster oven❣️ Keep an eye on it as it bubbles up. Now then! (◎_◎;) Oh no, I forgot! (◎_◎;) I usually have honey on hand, but I didn't have any this time. Kinako-Anko-san, who gave me this, said that honey and black pepper make it taste even better. I searched the food storage and found it❣️ "Wasanbon sugar" ( ´∀`) It is made from domestically grown sugarcane and has a fine texture and flavor. And coarse ground black pepper goes well with it too. Isn't there something like that? I looked in the pantry and found it❣️ It was delicious. Thank you for the meal. I can't believe there has been such a delicious cheesecake for 50 years. Thank you for the meal, and thank you for the delicious treat.

I discovered a takeout shop in Osaka that I had been wanting to visit since seeing it on a TV show. It took me a little time to find it at Osaka Station because I'm not familiar with the area. When I got home, I toasted it in the toaster for about 3-4 minutes, but the cheese didn't melt perfectly. I couldn't wait any longer, so I tried it! The sponge cake base had a slightly sweet and nostalgic sweetness, with a moist and fine texture. On top of that, there was Danish cheese with a salty kick! It's like a cake version of a cheese toast! The combination of sweet and salty flavors was delicious! It would be even better if I could melt the cheese perfectly like in the store! Nowadays, it's becoming difficult to find Western sweets for under 500 yen, but this one was under 400 yen, making it a rare and affordable souvenir option, don't you think?

During a udon tour with the esteemed reviewer from Osaka, Nyun♪♪, I received this cheesecake as a souvenir. Thank you very much m(_ _)m I'm so grateful and excited. Hello♪ (*꒪ヮ꒪*) I was a little hesitant to try this cheesecake as it was described as being a bit unusual. The smell was just like a regular cheesecake. Hmm! It's true that it's not very sweet. Well, the cake part is slightly sweet. But the saltiness of the cheese underneath balances out the sweetness of the cake. I felt a bit strange when I took the first bite, but by the second one, I found it delicious. It might be a dessert that you'll get used to and enjoy. Thank you for the meal.

Potey-sama is a sophisticated individual, so ordinary souvenirs won't satisfy them. I bought a unique Kobe souvenir (store's advertising slogan) - Denmark Cheesecake for 350 yen (excluding tax) each. It's slightly different, not too sweet, and you can microwave it before eating. When I first tried it, I was surprised by its taste. The price is surprisingly reasonable too. This cheesecake was also featured on the secret Kenmin Show. In an interview with Kobe Madam on May 6, 2021, she mentioned that everyone in Kobe knows about this cheesecake and she grew up eating it. It seems like a perfect fit for Potey-sama. I bought two - one to eat as is, and one to microwave. The expiration date is 4 days after purchase. I feel like I made a good purchase! This marks the beginning of a fulfilling new year in 2023.

This is a shop located outside the ticket gates of JR Osaka Station that sells "Danish cheesecake". I happened to pass by on my way home from work and realized that this place is from a famous shop in Kobe. I wonder when they opened here. They only offer takeaway items, and their only product is the Danish cheesecake.
Danish Cheesecake - 100 yen (as of October 22nd)
For those who are unfamiliar, Danish cheesecake is a dessert that consists of a sponge cake-like base topped with salty cheese. It is best enjoyed warm. The thick layer of stretchy cheese on top provides a nice balance of saltiness and chewiness similar to mochi. The bottom cake is a bit dry and not something I would consider a typical cheesecake. It is quite sweet. The texture is reminiscent of cheap madeleines you find at tourist spots. (Sorry for the rudeness) The harmony between the salty and sweet flavors is wonderful. It's completely different from a regular cheesecake, but the combination of saltiness and sweetness makes it delicious.

The famous pastry at Cafe Kannonya in Kobe Motomachi, the Denmark cheesecake, is also available in Osaka Umeda. The cheese flavor is irresistible.
- Item purchased: Denmark Cheesecake
- Satisfaction with the item: I love this flavor.
- Cleanliness of the store: Not applicable as it was a takeout.
- Parking convenience: Not applicable as it was a takeout.
- Price attractiveness: The taste is great, so the price is worth it.
- Will revisit: I will go regularly to buy it.
- Recommendation level (out of five stars): ★★★★★
If you love cheese, you should try this exceptional item. Despite being called a cake, it is not very sweet, with a strong salty cheese flavor that is excellent. When heated in the microwave, the stretchy cheese makes a strong impression. Enjoying it with a delicious cup of coffee enhances the charm of the Denmark Cheesecake even more. It's a tasty treat that I recommend trying.

Received a Denmark cheesecake from Kannon-ya on July 9th and was shocked when I tried to eat it. Kannon-ya is famous in Kobe for their Denmark cheesecake. Inside the box were 4 individually wrapped pieces, so I decided to have one for lunch the next day. I really wanted to burn it a bit in the toaster, but since there was only a microwave at work, I had to use that instead. I opened the lid and removed the aluminum foil, revealing a cake that looked like a madeleine. It already looked delicious, but after microwaving for about 30 seconds, the cheese melted and bubbled. On the right is the cheesecake kept cold. I took a bite, but it was too hard and salty to eat cold. I put it on a plate and microwaved it for 40 seconds, and the melted cheese soaked into the sponge, making it even more delicious. Now I understand why it's so popular. I ended up eating all of it by myself. It surprisingly lasted for 6 days (including the purchase date).

Representing the sweets kingdom of Kobe, the famous shop Kanon-ya. It's convenient as you can heat it up in the microwave at home. The cheese is rich and melts nicely, with a delicious taste. The sponge cake was surprisingly sweet, but it pairs perfectly with the cheese, making it a delightful cheesecake. It's a taste that makes you want to eat it again.

Our shop is located inside JR Osaka Station with no parking available. We are a takeout store for Kobe Kannon-ya's cheesecake, which can be baked at home in a toaster oven. The cheesecake is made with high-quality cheese imported directly from Denmark, resulting in a creamy and delicious texture when baked. I purchased two for 378 yen each, including tax, and tried baking them at home. The first attempt resulted in a shallow bake, with the cheese and sponge cake separating and not tasting great. The second try had the cheese melting nicely, but the sponge cake part turned out too hard, still not satisfying. The quality of the cheese seemed to be on par with regular melting cheese. Perhaps I didn't follow the instructions properly, but I believe products like this should be easy for anyone to enjoy deliciously.

My friend from Kobe always used to bring me "Kannon-ya's cheesecake" as a souvenir, which they sell at a shop in front of JR Osaka Station. It's so nostalgic, so I bought some to take home. The cheese melts slightly, so it's best to warm it up in a toaster... I personally like it when the surface is lightly toasted. The fluffy sponge cake with the rich, sweet and salty cheese is irresistible. By the time I finish one, I already have another one in the toaster... The unchanged deliciousness... Thank you for the meal.

I visited this cheesecake shop near Osaka Station on a regular day. I bought a Danish cheesecake, which is meant to be warmed up in a toaster oven before eating. It was sweet and salty, and incredibly delicious. Thank you for the meal!

I was looking forward to trying the Denmark cheesecake from "Kannon-ya," a Kobe-based shop featured on the TV show "Secret Kenmin Show," which is known for its surprising stretchy cheesecake. I found out that you can now purchase it at JR Osaka Station. This cheesecake is a bit different from others as it is meant to be warmed up in a toaster oven. You get to enjoy the melty salty cheese flavor along with the sweetness of the sponge cake at the same time! When you first taste it, you might think, "What is this!?" but the unique combination leaves a lasting impression and the flavor is quite addictive. Also, the size is just right for one person to finish!

At the end of May, I had someone bring me the "Danish Cheesecake" from the long-established coffee shop "Kannon-ya Motomachi Main Store" in Kobe, which was introduced on the May 6th episode of "Himitsu no Kenmin SHOW Gokum". It was so delicious that I decided to look it up online and found out that there is a take-out specialty store of "Kannon-ya" at JR Osaka Station. However, I wasn't sure of the exact location, so after having a spicy Thai dinner at Lucua Osaka directly connected to Osaka Station, my friend took me to "Kannon-ya JR Osaka Station Store". Next to it was "Gozakou", and even though I had passed by many times, I hadn't noticed it at all. I purchased 2 "Danish Cheesecakes" for 378 yen each. They can be taken home at room temperature, and if stored in the refrigerator, they will last for 5 days. Last time, a commenter suggested freezing it and melting only the cheese on top by placing it on the toaster, so I tried it immediately. The next morning, I had one frozen "Danish Cheesecake" with iced coffee for breakfast. I took it out of the freezer, put it on a metal tray, and baked it in the toaster oven for 4 minutes. The cheese was gooey, and the sponge on the bottom was not frozen but nicely warmed. The combination of the fluffy sponge and the melted cheese with a perfect balance of saltiness and rich flavor was excellent. It was so delicious that the next morning, I cut the remaining one into 6 pieces while still frozen, and baked them in the toaster oven. Last time, I sprinkled black pepper, maple syrup, and honey, and this time, I added my homemade "Yuzu Pepper Soy Sauce" to each piece and garnished the center with balcony-grown tree buds. The tingling sensation of the yuzu pepper added a nice touch, and it was also very delicious. Knowing that it bakes well even when frozen and can last a long time, be sure to get a 4-pack when you visit Osaka Station! Bon appétit! (●^o^●)

I saw this cheesecake being introduced on a TV show and wanted to try it. I bought it at Osaka Station for 350 yen per piece and finished it at home following the instructions. The process was simple! Just open the package, toast it in a toaster for 2-3 minutes until the cheese melts, and it's ready! I enjoyed it with a cup of coffee. The bottom sponge part was fluffy and slightly sweet. The cheese on top was a bit salty and melted nicely. It tasted like putting a slice of melting cheese on a sweet bread and toasting it. It's suitable even for those who don't like overly sweet desserts. I'm thinking of trying to make it at home next time.

I saw this place on TV before and had to go to Kobe, so I searched for the location of the store and found out it's in Osaka Station. I actually already knew the location of the store. "Slippery, Kobe souvenir." Well, that's already outdated. When it comes to Kobe sweets, I'll buy anything. I used to pass by there multiple times while thinking, "Are they making fun of Osaka people?" I was young back then. Sorry. So I went to buy it right away. It's like a madeleine with melted cheese on top. When you toast it, the edges of the sponge get slightly crispy, like baby castella. It costs 378 yen per piece. They put them in a box starting from 4 pieces. You can also heat them up in the microwave for 30 seconds, which is easier.

Kannon-ya JR Osaka Station branch is a sweets shop located a 3-5 minute walk from Umeda Station. It is known for its popular cheesecakes from Kobe, which you can now also enjoy in Osaka. It is a takeout specialty shop, so it's perfect for when you want to enjoy sweets at home. I purchased the popular Danish cheesecake this time. The sweet base is topped with a generous amount of cheese with just the right amount of saltiness. It has a slightly sweet taste like a dessert, but you can also enjoy the melted cheese flavor. It's perfect for breakfast and I recommend warming it up in a toaster oven at home. If you have a toaster oven, be sure to visit this shop. Thank you for the delicious treat!

When it comes to traveling to Osaka, one of the highlights is definitely the souvenirs. I've already secured the pork buns and shumai from 551 Horai, so next on the list is to buy a cheesecake from Kanon-ya! I remember years ago when I tried their cheesecake at the main store in Kobe Motomachi, it was truly impressive. The cheesecake had a salty flavor that stood out, which was quite surprising for a cake. I'm not a big fan of cakes in general, but I was curious to try this unique one. The bubbly cheese, the fluffy sponge that breaks apart with a fork, the saltiness that hits you along with the aroma, followed by the rich sweetness of the sponge - the combination was truly surprising. It's a cheesecake that can only be found in Kansai, and having it as a souvenir to bring back home adds to its charm. Heating it up in a toaster at home, watching the cheese melt through the window, is a delightful experience. I wish I knew the recipe for this cheese blend. For those interested in cakes, I hope you can try making it at home. It's one of the few cakes that I truly enjoy.
