I had beef hot pot with an extra egg, hot sake, grilled mentaiko, cold tofu, garlic fried chicken, and more. Day drinking is irresistible, and the warm sake was just perfect. The atmosphere was lively, and day drinking seemed completely acceptable in Osaka. There was a sign with the name "Zeniya" on a side street just a little off from Jan Jan Yokocho. I heard that the shop in Shinsekai closes early, so I visited at 4 pm, but the shop was already full. However, I was able to enter because my friend had already gone in. What's amazing about this shop is that they have yakiniku, hot pot, kushikatsu, and izakaya menu all in one place. While waiting for the hot pot to be ready, we enjoyed some pickled mackerel, crab miso, and Nijo Green Tea Highball. While I had kushikatsu, other customers were enjoying hot pot or yakiniku, so it felt more like a place where you can get a variety of dishes rather than just kushikatsu.
