In recent years, modern shops have been increasing along the Kokutai Road on the south side of Ohori Park in Fukuoka City, and ECRU is one of those trendy shops. It is within walking distance from Ropponmatsu and Karasuma, but there is still a bit of a distance from both stations, making it a bit hesitant to visit on rainy or scorching hot days. However, they are open from the morning and also serve as a cafe, making it a flexible place to enjoy natural wines even during the day. The shop used to be located in Tenjin and is already well-known, attracting many visitors who come specifically to visit. The staff are knowledgeable about wines, especially natural wines, and the quality of the wine bar is high. I only intended to have one drink this time, but ended up chatting with the staff and even participating in a luxurious blind tasting, making time fly by and thoroughly enjoying myself. Although it is a bit of a distance from Hakata Station, I look forward to exploring this area and its surroundings when the weather cools down.

I visited ECRU for the first time since they moved to Ropponmatsu from Tenjin. The interior of the store is beautiful and stylish. The coffee was served in a plastic cup over the counter. The weather was nice that day, with sunlight streaming in, making it a pleasant experience. It seems like a good spot to visit after a walk in Ohori Park or a night run.
