Deep-fried skewer bar "Gucchi's 55". Opened in June 2018. The owner may have a name like Yamaguchi or Taniguchi. Located in Yachiyo-cho, Hachiman Nishi-ku, a bit away from the dining area of Kurosaki's shopping street in a residential area. The location seems a bit challenging for business, but there is a specialty store for basketball next door, possibly under the same management. The interior has counter seats, table seats, and a TV. It is a slightly bright bar. I visited twice, and most likely a woman is the owner, with a quite sturdy male husband also seen. The husband is welcoming and polite, saying "Please, take your time" as customers leave the shop. There are appetizers like simmered hijiki and soybeans. Skewer menu ranges from 60 yen to 120 yen per skewer. Assorted 5 skewers for 420 yen, 10 skewers for 820 yen. The batter for the skewers is thin and crispy, and the sauce is a Worcestershire sauce-like drizzle type. Recommended items are cheese hanpen (80 yen) and cheese chikuwa (100 yen). There are also meat and seafood options at reasonable prices. In addition to skewers, there are a few other snacks available. Drinks like highballs are reasonably priced, with the cheapest being Beam Highball at 290 yen. Cocktails are 400 yen, and shochu is 320 yen per glass, although the amount for a black Kirishima on the rocks seemed quite small. I recommend avoiding shochu here. I recently tried the Beer Frappuccino (400 yen), which allows you to enjoy the foam. I chose the "peach" flavor. I'm not sure how to enjoy the foam, but I like this kind of drink. The service was initially a bit reserved, but overall friendly and natural. A casual place for locals, families, and anyone looking for a relaxed atmosphere. Thank you for the meal.
