I visited the old Yam residence in Karahori Shotengai after a long time, and oh boy, the food is still delicious as ever. I used to check this place regularly, but I got distracted by Kingyoishi in Matsuyamachi and ended up neglecting this place... Now, in the fierce battleground of Osaka Spice Curry, I personally consider this place to be the original. When I say original, I mean it's easy to eat. Indian curry, Sri Lankan curry, they all have a certain level of specialization, making it a bit challenging for those who are not used to it. That's where this place shines - with Japanese-style side dishes, very easy-to-eat pickles, and familiar ingredients. On this day, they had bonito, bitter melon, thick fried tofu, and kiwi - quite versatile. They offer three types of curry, but I recommend the three-curry combination for 1300 yen, even though it's a bit more expensive. Well, my excitement isn't usually that high when I come here, but it's an incredibly wonderful restaurant. Just a heads up, the main store is in a league of its own. The quality of this place tends to diminish at other locations, in my opinion. I mean, who hasn't been here before, right? Highly, highly recommended.
