On this day, I went to the Outlet Kitakyushu for shopping (((ง ˙-˙ )))ว Before shopping, I decided to have a meal at a pork steak specialty store called B in Uomachi, Kokurakita-ku, which I had never been to before. My first choice was the popular Gokumiyaki, but it was too crowded as usual, and I wanted to quickly finish eating to have more time for shopping. I only had to wait for one group ahead of me, so I quickly placed my order. As of May 4, 2022, they only offer pork steak set meals or pork steak a la carte. The full menu and takeout options will be available from mid-May. Since it was my first time, I usually stick to the basic menu, so it was not a problem. I thought it would be tax excluded, but the price was exactly 1000 yen including tax, which was a bit impressive. They didn't ask me about the rice portion. ⚫Pork Steak Set Meal (1000 yen) It's really rare! Σ( ˙꒳˙ ) I wondered if it was okay to eat pork that rare (laughs), but I love raw meat when it comes to beef and fish, so I trusted that it was safe to eat. I did cook it a bit more on the hot plate, but the plate cooled down before I could finish cooking. I trusted that it was okay and ate it ( ̄^ ̄)ゞ Being rare didn't make it dramatically tender, but the fatty part was deliciously tender, juicy, and emphasized when eaten this way. I quite liked the sweetness and the soy sauce-based sauce, as well as the various seasoning options like salt and wasabi. I'm not a fan of wasabi and karashi, so I felt there was a lack of salt (laughs). I enjoy the rice mainly with the sauce, so I was satisfied with the taste and texture, although the portion seemed a bit small for 1000 yen. They offer a large rice portion for an additional charge, which would have been nice for 1000 yen. I didn't order a drink set this time because I had plans right after, but it seemed reasonably priced. There were some service issues. When the buzzer rang to pick up my order, the meat wasn't ready yet. The meat for the previous customer was also not ready. It seemed like there was a lack of coordination among the staff, maybe they were ringing the buzzer at the wrong time? The pre-set condiments and salad were placed next to the order and payment counter, and the staff would place the hot plate with the meat on the tray there to complete the order. However, there was a staff member who was throwing disposable chopsticks onto the tray on the far side from the kitchen. It doesn't affect the quality itself, but it might be better not to do such actions in a place visible to customers. I liked the set meal itself, so I hope they improve their service through better training. The staff at the register was friendly. By the way, my physical condition was fine for a few hours after eating, so no problems there (laughs).
