On this day, I organized a summer party with 20 food bloggers! I have organized events for 20 people before, such as year-end parties and New Year's parties, but this was my first summer party. The venue this time was the popular Italian restaurant "OUI" in Kitahama, and we had the beautiful terrace seats facing the Tosabori River all to ourselves. "OUI" is a popular riverside restaurant in Kitahama 2-chome, with a wood terrace facing the Tosabori River where you can enjoy meals from the end of March to the end of November. The terrace at "OUI" is part of the Kitahama Terrace project started by Osaka City in 2009, and offers a wonderful view of the lit-up Central Public Hall and the Sendo Bridge. This terrace is very popular on summer weekends and is often fully booked. I first visited "OUI" at night last January, and although the terrace was closed at that time, the view from the terrace was amazing. I had been thinking about having a party on such a terrace during the summer, and this time, I made a reservation for the terrace seats at "OUI" two months in advance. The terrace can accommodate up to 20 people, and this time we had a maximum of 13 men and 7 women attending, including 4 people I was meeting for the first time. It was a very exciting summer party. The weather was perfect on the day, with a pleasant breeze blowing through the terrace, making it a comfortable and enjoyable party. We opted for the party plan C course with all-you-can-drink for ¥5500. The all-you-can-drink included wine, which delighted the women! We started with a toast with white wine and draft beer, kicking off the summer party! The C course consisted of 8 dishes starting with cold and hot appetizers, followed by pasta, fish dishes, meat dishes, and ending with dessert. The first dish was a plate of two types of carpaccio for the cold appetizer. The "seared marinated saury with eggplant sauce" was delicious, with a refreshing and meaty texture. The carpaccio of yellowtail was also delightful, with a nice fatty texture. The cold appetizer was not only carpaccio but also the "Kyoto duck breast confit with balsamic sauce," making it a luxurious start to the meal. The perfectly cooked duck breast went well with the sweet and sour balsamic sauce, making it a great accompaniment to the drinks. The hot appetizer was a bagna cauda with a variety of colorful vegetables such as bitter gourd, cauliflower, paprika, eggplant, green beans, and red cabbage, served with an anchovy and cream bagna cauda sauce for dipping. The hot appetizer also included a dish of "garlic butter grilled mussels and mushrooms" with bread, resembling an aioli dish. The mussels and mushrooms were flavored with garlic, making it a perfect match for drinks. The remaining butter sauce was delicious when dipped with the bread. After the cold and hot appetizers, it was time for the pasta dish to arrive. Next up, we would be served with fish and meat dishes.

Today's lunch was at this restaurant. When I was planning a lunch meeting before, I had trouble choosing a restaurant, but I thought, "Oh, this place is perfect!" However, it was fully booked, so I had to give up. Well, it must be a popular place. According to the girls at the office, this place is usually full. It seems to be the number one pasta restaurant among girls in this area? I don't know. Two old guys entered the pasta restaurant. Have they awakened to pasta at 58 years old? Annoying! (laughs) Anyway, we entered and surprisingly got a table seat easily. A miracle? By the way, the highlight of this restaurant is the terrace seat where you can enjoy your meal while overlooking the river. However, outside is like a scorching summer hell. So, no thank you to the terrace seat due to the heat. I thought we were able to get in smoothly today, but then... ordinary young ladies were elegantly enjoying pasta on the terrace with cool faces. Elegant people are always elegant no matter what they do... By the way, two old guys on the terrace seat. That's something I want to avoid. Sitting on the terrace would surely damage the image of the restaurant. (laughs) Well, setting that aside, I looked at today's menu at the cool table inside. The lunch options were 5 types: pasta lunch, meat lunch, grill lunch, fish lunch, and special lunch. All the menu names were fancy and looked delicious. Truly feels like a popular place. However, we decided to go with the classic pasta. Today, I ordered the following: Small dried fish, young corn & green beans oil pasta for 1,100 yen. The menu changes daily. It's fun to wonder, "What's the pasta of the day?" The creativity behind this must be commendable. Italian cuisine is deep. Italian sensibility is beyond the reach of Japanese people. That depth of sensibility is reflected in dishes like this pasta. First, we had a salad as an appetizer. Lettuce with tangy Italian dressing. I need to eat vegetables... I usually only have green onions and bamboo shoots with ramen (laughs). Are bamboo shoots considered vegetables? (laughs) Next, the main event, the pasta. Oh, what a cute visual. Is there a pasta that doesn't suit two old guys like this? (laughs) Well, retracting my previous statement. Is there a pasta that doesn't suit these two old guys? It would damage the image of the restaurant. (laughs) In the middle, mini tomatoes were neatly arranged, surrounded by small dried fish, young corn, and green beans. The main stars are these three ingredients, but the deliberate arrangement doesn't overly highlight them, which is fantastic. It gives off a vibe of a cute girl. The noodles were al dente? I'm not knowledgeable about pasta, so I won't say unnecessary things, but the texture of the noodles was excellent. As a ramen enthusiast, I believe I have a good grasp of noodle texture. (laughs) Overall, it had a refreshing texture, with the oil-coated noodles blending perfectly, resulting in a well-balanced finish. It's impressive. Maybe they were aiming for a summer theme, but despite not eating cold pasta, it had a refreshing quality that is hard to describe. It's more like a fresh feeling unique to a cute girl. I will definitely visit again. Next time, will it be a lady, a mature woman, or a high school student... I'm not saying anything weird, by the way. (laughs)

Today, I had to work on Saturday again, so I went to OUI for pasta. It was great - it went down smoothly and there were fewer people than on weekdays. I had the smoked oil sardine, shiitake, and komatsuna oil pasta for 1100 yen. Today's pasta was really delicious! I even had seconds of bread. The pasta had a lot of garlic (which I like), so if you have plans after, be careful! Thank you for the meal!

Today's dish at Dashuran. It's been a while since I last saw OUI-san. Mebaru (rockfish) and bean sprouts and komatsuna (Japanese mustard spinach) oil pasta with salad and bread. 1000 yen. The garlic flavor was strong at the beginning and delicious, but a bit too salty. Still, it was delicious. Thank you for the meal! (•́✧•̀)

The other day, I went to lunch with my friends in Kitahama. There are terrace seats at the restaurants along the river in Kitahama, and it's a pleasant season. We visited OUI, a restaurant that I have been curious about for a while. We had a slightly Chinese-style grilled pork dish. The sauce had a hint of ma-la flavor. The side dish was Chinese-style pea shoots. I didn't know ma-la could be used in this way.

Located along the river opposite OUI Central Public Hall in Kitahama, this casual Italian restaurant offers a nice terrace seating option during the summer. For lunch, I had the pork shoulder loin cutlet with demi-glace sauce, mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables, rice, and salad for 1200 yen. My friend opted for the pasta lunch with oil pasta featuring sakura shrimp, daikon, and okra, served with salad for 1000 yen. We also enjoyed coffee for 200 yen after our meal. The restaurant was packed with customers, with many being turned away due to the popularity of their lunch menu. The cutlet was delicious, and the demi-glace sauce was particularly tasty.

I chose the fish lunch from 5 options available. I had the Mebaru (rockfish) with anchovy burnt butter sauce for 1200 yen. The salad had a generous amount with a tangy dressing, providing a satisfying meal. The Mebaru had a crispy skin and the sauce was delicious. I wish they had provided chopsticks in a holder as well. Overall, the meal was delicious and I would like to visit the restaurant again.

The stylish Italian restaurant by the riverside offers dishes such as Herb Breaded Grilled Chicken Thigh for 1,200 yen and Grilled Sticky Pork Shoulder for 1,200 yen. I chose the Grilled Sticky Pork Shoulder and found the meat to be tender and satisfying to eat. The Diavolo sauce was delicious. The terrace seating offers a great view, and on the day I visited, it was not too hot and the breeze was very pleasant. In front of me, I could see the Central Public Hall and tourist boats cruising along the river. It was a delightful experience enjoying the unique riverside scenery.

I have visited my favorite restaurant OUI several times. Every time I come for lunch, the quality is outstanding. I always feel like I might be eating a 5,000 yen French lunch. Today, I chose the fish lunch (I always end up choosing the fish lunch because it's so delicious). First, the salad arrived. It was served quickly. The salad had couscous with various diced vegetables and a tangy vinegar dressing. It was delicious. The vegetables hidden in the couscous were tasty, and the dressing matched perfectly. Next was the main fish dish. Grilled saury with summer vegetables, buttery flavor spreading in every bite, perfectly cooked as always! The sweetness of pumpkin and zucchini, the accent of pea shoots when eaten with the fish. The creamy texture of the accompanying yam and the richness of anchovy. Isn't it perfect? The quality is too high. And this costs only 1,200 yen. It's definitely worth double the price. The menu changes regularly, using seasonal ingredients for each dish, making it a place you want to visit again and again. It's a shame they are closed on Sundays, but I highly recommend it for a lunch with friends.

Kitasaty OUI is also featured on Instagram. @kitysaty. It's a popular spot, so they start preparing at 9 am and open at 11 am. I decided to go 10 minutes early, but ended up being 5 minutes late. The riverside area was already packed. Anyway, I wanted to eat fish, so I went for the fish lunch. It was really delicious. Can I really indulge like this in the middle of the day?! I kept telling myself that as I enjoyed every bite. Fish lunch for 1200 yen. Definitely a great deal! Located at Kitahama Gate Building 1F, 2-1-21 Kitahama, Chuo-ku, Osaka 541-0041.

The weather has become quite summery, and I'm in the mood for having pasta for lunch. I was browsing through various Italian restaurants and decided to visit this one along the Tosabori River because of the beautiful weather. ① Exterior, Atmosphere, Interior: The restaurant is located along the Tosabori River with the Central Public Hall on the opposite bank. The nearest stations are Yodoyabashi or Kitahama. The exterior is distinctive with white walls and small circular windows. There are handwritten menu signs outside, giving it a casual vibe. There is a terrace overlooking the river at the back, which looks very pleasant. However, the interior seating is a bit dim and the atmosphere is not as great. It would probably have a lovely mood at night. ② Food: The lunch menu offers a wide variety including "Pasta Lunch," "Meat Lunch," "Fish Lunch," "Grill Lunch," and "Special Lunch." You can also add options like "Soup of the Day," "Coffee," and "Gelato of the Day." I ordered the "Pasta Lunch" and added the "Soup of the Day." The pasta of the day was "Squid, Garlic Chives, and Chinese Cabbage in Oil Pasta." The set came with a salad, which was fresh and had a nice dressing. The "Soup of the Day" was made with rapeseed blossoms, and it had a smooth texture with a hint of bitterness and the acidity of tomatoes. Finally, the pasta was hot and aromatic, cooked al dente with a good balance of flavors. ③ Staff Service: Unfortunately, there was no guidance or explanation upon entering the restaurant, even though it specializes in terrace seating. It would have been better if they had asked if I preferred indoor seating. The staff's greetings and speed of service were fine, but the seating arrangement left something to be desired. ④ Value for Money: The option to add soup to the lunch menu was appealing, and the quality and portion of the pasta were satisfactory. In terms of food alone, the value for money was good. However, the service could be improved, and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant was just average. ⑤ Other Notes: It seems that they also offer a good selection for takeout.

The Tosa-bori Street in Nakanoshima Riverside is a stylish spot where you can dine on a terrace overlooking the river. I, being stylish, look back on empty memories, reflecting on the past while admiring the night view of the buildings on the other side of the river. "OUI" is a restaurant with a deep interior layout, offering table seating to the left, extending tables in the back, and terrace seating further back. The drink menu includes Asahi Super Dry draft beer, Heineken, wine, sake, shochu, whiskey, vermouth, grappa, and more. We ordered a variety of dishes, including a platter of 5 appetizers, a pizza topped with Tasmanian honey and Gorgonzola cheese, and roasted Miyazaki pork loin with Salsa Verde sauce. The thin and crispy pizza had a good balance of Gorgonzola cheese and honey, while the tender Miyazaki pork loin had a satisfying meatiness that paired well with the sauce. The restaurant offers a beautiful view of the high-rise buildings reflected on the river at night, making the experience of enjoying wine and delicious food even more impressive.

The assorted appetizers stimulate the appetite with various types. The flavors are delicious. Today's recommended meat salad is steamed chicken salad with Oyama chicken breast. It was surprisingly generous in portion size. I was wondering if I could finish it all. For the pasta, I chose the recommended meat tomato sauce today. It includes rapeseed blossoms and turkey. It's delicious, but a bit too salty for my taste. I'm full now. Thank you for the meal.

The restaurant has windows that make it difficult to see inside from the outside, providing a sense of security for diners. The location overlooking the public hall is excellent, and it is recommended to dine on the terrace on sunny days. The food is delicious and very stylish in appearance. The 1000 yen pasta lunch is surprisingly affordable and very satisfying.

I went to OUI in Osaka City Chuo Ward (Kitahama Station) for the first time for lunch. I usually get their meat or fish lunch for takeout for company meetings or study sessions, and it's always delicious, so I've been wanting to dine in someday. Today, I had the Grilled Mochi Pork Shoulder with Diavolo Sauce for 1000 yen. Normally, I have lunch with my colleagues or seniors at work, but after having a fight with my husband last night (or rather, being scolded one-sidedly...), I'm having a solo lunchtime. I arrived at the restaurant at 11:50 and managed to get a seat near the entrance, but soon after, more customers started coming in, and by 12:05, the restaurant was full with only the terrace seats available! Truly popular place! It was bustling with office ladies. The meat was tender, juicy, and incredibly delicious! The sauce was soy-based, spicy, and very tasty. It exceeded my expectations! This is the best 1000 yen lunch in this area! It lifted my spirits a bit! It's so close to my office, so I want to come here often. Thank you for the happiness and excitement! ❤️

I took a little break from work and went to try out a pasta lunch, a fish lunch, and a meat lunch. I chose the pasta lunch. The second picture is of the meat lunch my friend had, which looked delicious - pork sauté with apple sauce. Today, I had chicken mince and vegetable oil pasta. It came with bread and salad for 1000 yen. It was more authentic than I had expected! Next time, I'll try the fish lunch.

It was a long-awaited girls' night out! We enjoyed a happy time at OUI on Nakanoshima, overlooking the Tosabori River and beautiful night view. It had been a while since we all enjoyed delicious food and wine together. Here is what we ordered: - Assorted appetizers (for 3 people) with fish - Moules marinières - Roast duck - Quattro formaggi pizza - Dessert - Draft beer - 2 bottles of wine For the appetizers, we chose the fish option which included various dishes such as tuna, salmon, scallops, liver paste, and Spanish mackerel prepared in different ways on one plate. It was not only delicious but also visually appealing. The Quattro formaggi pizza, which is one of our favorites, had a normal crust thickness with a generous amount of cheese. It tasted amazing, especially when dipped in honey. And we enjoyed two bottles of wine among the three of us. It had been a while since we had a drink together!

I'm nervous about sneaking into the popular OUI restaurant for women (^_^;). First of all, when it comes to OUI, the location is important along with the food. The restaurant by the riverside offers a great view, so my expectations are high. However, the layout of the restaurant is such that the further back you go towards the window, the more people there are at the table. This means that if you're sitting alone or with one other person, you'll end up closer to the front where the view isn't as good, and there are partitions for COVID-19 precautions, so you can't fully appreciate the good location from the front. What a shame (ToT). Now, for lunch. There are several options, but I chose the safe bet of sautéed young chicken with cream sauce for 1000 yen. The salad was nice and crisp! The young chicken was cooked well and the cream sauce wasn't too heavy, with the addition of tomatoes providing a nice touch of acidity to the sauce. Overall, the dish was a good balance and you can get plenty of vegetables. Personally, I felt that the sautéed young chicken could have had a stronger sear on the skin. I prefer a nice crispy sear on the side with the skin to enjoy that fragrant flavor. Personally, I think this was a missed opportunity. I feel like the key to this place is really sitting by the window, so I'll come back next time with a group of people♪

I ordered Course A! The location on the terrace is excellent! Normally it comes with all-you-can-drink for 5000 yen, but this time I opted for no alcohol, so it was 4000 yen for just the food. The pizza was decent, but the fish and chicken were not great. You can't expect much from the food, but the atmosphere is nice and it's a good choice for those who want to drink alcohol!

★Great value for authentic Italian lunch★ I had the fish and pasta lunch, and it was a truly fantastic taste that I, as an amateur, could never achieve. Honestly, I had the impression that places with good locations often have mediocre food, but this place was different. You can enjoy authentic Italian cuisine here. I thought to myself, "I've found a good restaurant." The fish (I think it was rockfish) had a slightly light Japanese flavor, but it was packed with umami and I finished it in no time. The pasta was simple but full of flavor, an oil pasta that brought out the umami of spring vegetables to the fullest, a professional taste. How can they make it so delicious..? There is a high possibility of revisiting.
