Good evening.. Continuing from the previous day, we stayed at a hotel and drank at the New Hankyu ANA Lounge → relaxed at the Spa World in Shin-Imamiya with hot springs from around the world → indulged in a meat feast at a popular yakiniku restaurant in a deep city → Now, onto the second place today.. We were ready to call it a night, but I convinced my tired companion Kyu-chan to go to an open restaurant.. In the heart of Shinsekai, a flashy restaurant stands out.. Japan's No. 1 kushikatsu restaurant, Yokozuna.. We were already full from the yakiniku earlier, but I'm okay with drinking anywhere (I love alcohol).. We ordered some light dishes and found a regular izakaya that we could quickly leave from.. We were actually looking for a different izakaya, but this was the only one open at the time.. It was already late, around 9:45 PM, and there were quite a few people waiting.. We were told we could get in without waiting since there were only two of us, so we entered.. It was so crowded! I was surprised.. It was bustling before 10 PM! A few years ago, on New Year's Day, I went to a restaurant of the same chain in Umeda and it was so-so.. Well, it's a chain restaurant, and it's a different place, so it's a different story from a few years ago.. Highball and shochu on the rocks were flowing.. One cup of sake for 495 yen, Tris Highball for 429 yen, and two servings of otoshi for 660 yen.. There was a dish with grated daikon and minced meat sauce.. I didn't know about that.. I thought it was more of an izakaya with kushikatsu, but it turns out they are known for their large portions.. The other dishes were amazing too, but the takoyaki was probably even more calorie-packed.. We weren't hungry, so we ordered a la carte, but there's an all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink option available with same-day reservations, which is cheaper.. However, you have to reserve by 5 PM on the same day.. My side dish was ikayaki for 418 yen.. Kyu-chan had renkon for 198 yen.. I forgot the rest (*´Д`*) We were already full, but I had one piece.. Kyu-chan felt a bit hungry again, so we ordered more.. Quail for 132 yen, shrimp for 308 yen.. Also, mochi for 132 yen.. Thank you for the meal.. The kushikatsu was delicious, but as mentioned above, ordering a la carte and having a few drinks added up to a considerable amount.. Although we had about 3 drinks each.. It was around 6000 yen for two people.. Also, the hygiene of the restroom was a bit lacking.. The restaurant was quite large, so I understand that it gets a lot of use.. It was almost full, but the staff were walking briskly between tables, taking orders, and serving quickly! They were efficient and that's great (*´∀`*)
