The sushi restaurant in the morning market had a great selection of sushi, and the tuna from Tobi was delicious. The sea urchin was also delicious, similar to Murakami's, and the herring and fresh hokke were tasty, giving a true taste of Hokkaido. The restaurant had a surprising atmosphere with a lot of Louis Vuitton and Supreme items, but the friendly and welcoming chef made dining there very comfortable.

I went around the morning market in Hakodate and ended up at this shop. Although my hotel offered breakfast, I wanted to enjoy something from the morning market since I was in Hakodate. Sushinobori, a shop open in the morning, was interesting with displays of brand items inside. Every piece of sushi was delicious! It's great to be able to eat sushi in the morning! I would love to visit again if I have the chance.

I went to the restaurant at 6:30 in the morning on April 23, 2023. It was very delicious. Especially the sea urchin, salmon roe, fatty tuna, salmon roe roll, and golden eye snapper were fresh and delicious! Unfortunately, the morning-caught live squid that I was looking forward to was not available due to strong winds. The interior of the restaurant had many Louis Vuitton items, and I was surprised to see Louis Vuitton skateboards and wall clocks, which I had never seen before. I heard that the owner bought and displayed them all. The owner was also a gentle and quiet person. The atmosphere of the restaurant was calm and had a sense of luxury. When I visited, the TV in the restaurant was playing Anpanman, with the sound of Anpanman and Baikinman's battle playing continuously. I thought maybe the TV wasn't necessary, haha. I was able to enjoy delicious sushi on my last day in Hakodate, and it was a luxurious experience. Thank you for the meal!

The other day, I stayed overnight in Hakodate alone and went to the Hakodate Morning Market in the morning to eat seafood bowl. It was windy and colder than I expected, so I felt like having hot sake instead of seafood bowl. I went to this empty shop that had just opened and ordered hot sake first. When I looked at the menu for something to snack on, I saw homemade whale bacon, so I ordered it. After warming up my body, I started to feel hungry, so I ordered a chef's choice sushi set of 12 pieces and cold sake. I quickly finished eating the golden eye snapper, mackerel, herring, and more. I still wanted to eat a bit more, so I added another round of herring and conger eel, and also had some shrimp. I left the restaurant feeling completely satisfied.

Branch with seafood. While overseas tourists flock to the donburi shops, we, who are not particularly interested in donburi, had no other choice but to go to the only sushi restaurant available. Upon entering the restaurant, Louis Vuitton items were everywhere. In addition to trunks, there were soccer balls, dog figurines, and even a collaboration with Dom Perignon, all mostly in monogram with a bit of Damier. The plates and serving dishes were brought out from trunks. We ended up in a unique restaurant. We ordered the chef's choice, which included kinmedai, hokke, mackerel, salmon, scallop, chu-toro, snow crab, ikura, botan shrimp, sea urchin, and other Hokkaido specialties. The sushi rice was bite-sized and perfect for pairing with sake. As a finale, we added squid sashimi and enjoyed it with Japanese sake. The gentle voice of the chef, who had filled the restaurant with Louis Vuitton items, left a lasting impression.

When you come to Hakodate, a convenient place to stop by is the morning market in front of Hakodate Station. Inside the market, there are various shops gathered together, making it easy to grab a quick bite. The area around the market used to be crowded with foreign tourists before the pandemic, but now it has a quieter atmosphere with more local young people. Before 7 am, there are even fewer people, and you can easily enter any shop. Instead of trying the overpriced and mediocre seafood bowl, I chose a sushi restaurant this time. They offer individual items as well as set menus, and I opted for the chef's choice sushi set, which was reasonably priced. The counter inside the restaurant displays beautifully arranged fresh ingredients that catch your eye. The sushi is served on large bamboo leaves, creating an impressive presentation. The fresh and unique textures of the sushi were delightful, especially the raw surf clam sushi, which I tried for the first time. The shrimp sushi with eggs was also a treat, as the season for egg-bearing shrimp was coming to an end. Lastly, I had raw sea urchin without seaweed, just a sprinkle of salt to bring out its natural sweetness. It was exquisite. The restaurant also offers a variety of alcoholic beverages, including sake, Western liquor, and wine, making it a great place to enjoy sushi with a drink. Operating from early morning until late at night is no easy feat, but it's wonderful. I look forward to visiting in the evening next time.

Hakodate early morning meal. Found a sushi restaurant "Sushinosen Hakodate Asaichi Store" that opens at 6 am at the gourmet mall in Hakodate Morning Market and entered. Enjoyed morning beer while requesting a chef's choice sushi set of 10 pieces. The fish is delicious indeed. The simple shari and the simple preparation of the toppings still manage to impress with the freshness and deliciousness of the fish. I had saury, alfonsino, herring, young yellowtail, button shrimp, snow crab, surf clam, bluefin tuna toro, soy sauce-marinated salmon roe, and purple sea urchin with rock salt. As expected from a chef's choice (and with a decent price tag), the quality of the toppings was great. The additional requests for flounder and white fish were good but somewhat ordinary, so leaving it to the chef's choice might be a good idea.

The morning market is full of rice bowls, but this place is a genuine sushi restaurant. They use high-quality ingredients like Tobi maguro and Murakami uni. The sushi is traditional and there are no particularly unusual items, but it is a step above conveyor belt sushi and you can enjoy it with peace of mind. I have a sensitive tongue, so when I asked for water because the tea was too hot, they were very accommodating. The service is also good! I wonder if the Louis Vuitton sushi case has any connection to the famous store in Naka-Meguro? Thank you for the meal. I will definitely come back.

I had a strange lunch at an odd time. The location was in front of Hakodate Station. I didn't have much time. I tried to search on Tabelog for a standing sushi restaurant but it was closed. So, I ended up going to the Donburi Yokocho in Hakodate Morning Market. It was past 4:30 PM, so there were no other customers. I sat at the counter in a restaurant playing sumo on TV and ordered a draft beer. The beer was poured into a frozen mug, which I don't really like. I ordered a sushi set (2,200 yen) and squid sōmen noodles (660 yen) as a side dish. The squid sōmen noodles came with grated ginger and grated daikon radish, and I was instructed to use a special sauce. The squid was really fresh, but there was too much grated ginger, overpowering the dish. The sushi arrived with salmon, white fish, tuna, shrimp, and scallop. The scallop was sweet and delicious. I ordered more beer and added crab, cockle, salmon roe, and sea urchin. The cockle had a nice chewy texture and was tasty. I also ordered smoked mackerel and herring. These two pieces were the best. The mackerel had a nice chewy texture and was delicious. Herring in Hokkaido is always good with its rich flavor, and this one was no exception. There was an older couple as the only other customers. I wanted to watch more sumo on TV, but I had to leave due to time constraints. I paid the bill and left the restaurant. Thank you for the meal. I went to a restaurant for breakfast in Hakodate during my trip. As soon as I entered, there was a counter and I sat down to try the chef's recommended sushi set (3300 yen). Truly Hokkaido! Every piece of sushi was worth more than its price! Especially the sea urchin, which I love, had a taste that ranked high among all the sea urchin I've ever had. It was amazing! Visited on December 26, 2021. Good morning! I didn't have breakfast at the Country Born where I stayed last night, so I came here for breakfast. Inside the Donburi Yokocho in Hakodate Asaichi, there is a place called Sushi no Sensho. It's a tourist-friendly facility, so many shops here serve seafood donburi and sashimi set meals, but this shop will make sushi for you as you like. Of course, you can also have alcohol in the morning. Unlike other shops with a counter where the sushi is prepared, the sushi case was empty and they only made seafood donburi in the back. The sushi here is small, easy to eat, and fresh. The decorations in the shop were quite interesting, with many Louis Vuitton items displayed. The chef was also wearing a Louis Vuitton mask. It seems like he really likes Louis Vuitton. Even the coasters were Louis Vuitton. They had Louis Vuitton soccer balls and skateboards displayed as well. It was a funny shop. As for the sushi, it was delicious and just to my liking. Easy-to-eat sushi in bite-sized portions. I ordered Negitoro, and they made it with properly chopped fatty tuna, so it was delicious. I visited the restaurant around 1:30 pm for my last meal during my trip. There were no customers at that time, making it a bit awkward to enter. The restaurant is small, with only a counter seating for about 7 people, located in a donburi alley. Shortly after, a group of four customers arrived. I ordered bluefin tuna, which had both fatty toro and lean akami. The akami was aged and had a moist and delicious texture, while the toro was tender with high-quality fat. The kinmedai was also soft and delicious. In the end, I had 4 pieces of toro, 4 pieces of akami, and 1 piece of kinmedai sushi. I also ordered sashimi, choosing botan ebi, scallops, and sea urchin (for 2 people). The botan ebi was the most delicious dish of my trip, with its eggs still attached. The sea urchin was also of very high quality. As a budget-conscious person, I was worried about the bill since the quality of the food was exceptional and the restaurant was filled with luxury brands like Louis Vuitton. However, I was pleasantly surprised when the bill came to only 7000 yen for two people, which was very reasonable. I should have visited this restaurant earlier during my stay. I will definitely make sure to visit this place again on my next trip.

Sea urchin, botan shrimp, menme (probably referring to kinmedai), surf clam, you can order from one piece at the sushi restaurant inside the Asaichi Donburi Yokocho, so you can eat as much as you want of your favorite items, which is great. I couldn't eat sea urchin at Kikuyo Shokudo, so they use sea urchin from Murakami here. In the end, menme (probably referring to golden eye snapper) was the best choice. Sushi is really something~ Feeling happy and indulging in luxury from the morning.

I usually enjoy conveyor belt sushi, but I felt like having sushi early in the morning. When I visited, there were no other customers except for 2 people who came later. The head chef was friendly and approachable. I ordered the chef's choice of 10 pieces for 3000 yen. The fish was indeed fresh and satisfying. The rice was a bit loose, which may be a matter of personal preference. I was delighted to be able to enjoy fresh sea urchin at this time of year. The herring sushi was exceptional. If you ever crave sushi in the morning, I recommend this place at the morning market.

The morning market in GW, especially Donburi Yokocho, is very crowded everywhere... it's painfully popular (T~T☆). Although there are many shops I want to visit, my time, stomach (and even budget) are unfortunately limited... After waiting in line for a while, I finally entered this place! Despite being a bustling tourist spot, the interior is a traditional counter style, and I appreciate the way they serve the dishes while keeping an eye on your progress. I ordered a set of fresh nigiri (10 pieces with soup) and bamboo sushi (7 pieces), along with some squid noodles and a bit of sake. The contents of the nigiri set at that time were as follows: - Fresh nigiri: salmon, white fish, fatty tuna, snow crab, scallop, sweet shrimp, abalone, sea urchin, salmon roe (with shrimp broth) - Bamboo sushi: salmon, white fish, red tuna, scallop, sweet shrimp, salmon roe The sushi was fresh and did not disappoint. The scallop and salmon roe had a wonderful flavor and texture compared to what I usually have. The size of the fish was generous, and the ratio of fish to rice was to my liking. I look forward to coming back without getting lost next time!
