I visited this restaurant in Fukuoka at night, which my colleagues had made a reservation for. It seems that the comedian Kosson from AmeTalk had introduced this place. The staff mentioned that he had visited twice before. We had a course meal with daikon salad, horse sashimi, gyoza, motsunabe, and champon in that order. Everything was delicious, especially the champon with a large amount of black sesame seeds! It was so tasty! Hee-haw!

I came all the way here because I really wanted to treat my friend from Tokyo to the black sesame champon noodles. It had been 5 years since I last visited due to the pandemic, but the female staff remembered me and I had a wonderful time. The main dish, motsu nabe, is a unique hot pot that is seasoned with homemade vinegar soy sauce. The special thing about it is that the seasoning is not done directly in the pot, so it never gets too thick. This may seem obvious, but it's like a Columbus egg idea in motsu nabe, and you can have as many refills as you want. My preference is to eat a half-and-half mix of motsu and pork. Definitely recommended!

This time, I went to a restaurant because I had never heard of eating motsunabe with vinegar soy sauce and the sesame noodles at the end looked delicious. First, I had miso hormone with a glass of draft beer, so happy. The unique touch of gyoza skins on the motsunabe was interesting. Before it boiled, I had a salt lemon shochu highball and mentaiko cheese omelette. The motsunabe had a hint of garlic aroma and tasted very light, which I think goes well with the vinegar soy sauce. Then, I soaked the soup into the noodles, added plenty of black sesame, and simmered it. It was full of umami. It went down smoothly. It was very delicious. The staff at the restaurant were friendly and I had a great time. I will definitely come back.

On this day, I gathered with old friends in Hakata! Since all the members are actively working in Hakata, they chose a restaurant that is usually used for entertaining guests from out of town - Motsu Shou Honoten. It used to be located in Yakuin Rokkaku, but has now moved to a beautiful two-story building. The menu is a 5000 yen course with all-you-can-drink. We started with appetizers of burdock and sweet and sour simmered chicken, cheers with beer! Then we had a daikon salad, which was refreshing with thinly sliced daikon cut into round shapes. Since it was a hormone course, I took a break with a one-bite gyoza first. Speaking of Hakata, we had some one-bite gyoza with ponzu and yuzu pepper - delicious! The miso stewed hormone was amazing! It was really delicious and a taste that you can't easily find elsewhere. We also had horse sashimi, which was lightly seasoned and very tasty. The red liver charcoal-grilled was probably a service dish, but it was delicious with salt and had a great texture. Finally, we had Motsu Shou's famous motsu nabe. This motsu nabe is not your regular one. It is cooked on top of vegetables with gyoza skin as a lid, and it's served with a special ponzu sauce. It was light and easy to eat, and the ponzu sauce was exceptionally delicious. We finished by adding champon noodles and sprinkling sesame seeds on top. The sesame noodles were also delicious! I lived in Hakata for a long time, but this style of motsu nabe was my first time trying it. If you're tired of regular motsu nabe, I highly recommend trying this one. I would definitely use this restaurant again when entertaining my Osaka friends in Hakata. Thank you for the meal!

Eating motsunabe with vinegar and soy sauce is my number one favorite, being from Hakata. For the finishing touch, I like to add plenty of black sesame to my champon and eat it with vinegar and soy sauce, which makes me salivate non-stop.

The other day, there was a farewell party at work, so I searched on Tabelog and decided to visit this restaurant. The location can be confirmed on Tabelog. This restaurant used to be near Yakuin Roku-kaku but has moved. This time, we used a course menu and had motsu nabe (offal hot pot), which is rare in Fukuoka, where you eat it with ponzu sauce, making it light and refreshing. You can eat as much as you want because it's so delicious. The offal was chewy but not too fatty, so even those who are not fans of offal could enjoy it. The pot is covered with gyoza skins, which is visually interesting. Most importantly, when you order noodles as the finishing touch, you can choose between white sesame, black sesame, or a mix. The plentiful champon noodles are mixed in the remaining soup from the hot pot and eaten with ponzu sauce, which is very delicious. The noodles alone are worth going back for. It was so delicious that I will visit again soon. Thank you for the delicious meal!
