In Sakai, the popular yakiniku restaurant "Shokuen" has two other locations in the city besides the Hoshino Wings branch, in Sakai and Izumigaoka. When I heard that a third branch of "Shokuen" would be opening at Hoshino Wings, I got really excited, but even now, it continues to be loved by the locals with stable popularity. (Even on this day, despite the impact of the coronavirus, it was fully booked 30 minutes after opening.) Recently, there were days when my family was not at home during lunchtime, so I decided to challenge myself to solo yakiniku after a long time. This time, I ordered the Hormone Set Meal (large size) for 1,480 yen including tax. After placing my order and waiting for a while, I was served with deliciously spicy kimchi, elegantly seasoned bean sprout namul, sauce, garlic, and chili. After a while, the main attraction, the meat, arrived. (Thinly sliced tongue slightly frozen, intestines processed in a way that eliminates any unpleasant smell, and a few grilled vegetables.) The meal also came with steamed rice and a large bowl of wakame seaweed soup, just the perfect touch. I added garlic to the sauce, grilled the meat at my own pace, and enjoyed the yakiniku lunch with the rice. By the way, you can get a refill of rice once, and they also ask about your preferred portion size. (Of course, I chose the large size, haha) After the meal, green tea was served, and gum was provided after paying the bill. Shokuen's yakiniku is consistently good. Thank you for the delicious meal!
