Sometimes I visited this restaurant for lunch in this area. The entrance is a bit hard to find. The interior is not very spacious, but there are already many customers. I ordered the omelette lunch for 700 yen. First, soup and salad are served. The soup is sweet with pumpkin and delicious. The salad was also tasty with mild onions. The omelette was cooked firm rather than runny. It may be a matter of personal preference, but I like this type as well. The omelette was a bit too much for me as a small eater. However, I think it would be popular among those who want to eat a lot. The quality at this price is excellent. Thank you for the meal!

I came after a long time and ended up in the last seat. It seems like this place is booming, as it's been full since then. I ordered the "Meat Set for 1000 yen." Today's dish is Pork Piccata. I started with a cold potage soup, which had a summer-like deliciousness. The meat had a firm texture, maybe a bit tough from losing moisture. But it was tasty. I enjoyed my meal today as well. Thank you for the meal.

I recently entertained a foreign friend at a hidden gem bistro in Gaienmae 6-chome. They offer wines starting from 600 yen per glass, which were delicious. We opted for the recommended course at 5000 yen, paired with a sparkling bottle at 3500 yen and a red wine at 600 yen to go with the fillet steak. We were thoroughly satisfied. I definitely want to revisit with my family next time.

Let's have lunch. While thinking about where to eat, a colleague mentioned a place they wanted to go, so I followed along. We walked up the Sorabori shopping street, and turned right. The entrance was open. At first glance, it looked like a snack bar, but it was actually a Western-style restaurant. The recommended dish was omurice, but I ordered the "Pork Saute for 1000 yen." First, a large plate of potato potage soup was served. After just one sip, I could tell it was high quality. The dish was meticulously prepared with no unnecessary extras, so there was no room for mistakes. My first impression of the pork saute was that it looked small, but it was cooked to perfection, tender and delicious. The side dishes were also good. Wouldn't it be nice to have this meal with wine at night? I enjoyed my meal today as well. Thank you for the delicious food.

I chose the fillet steak that I was curious about. It costs 1800 yen, which is a bit pricey for lunch, but it didn't feel that way at all. In fact, I felt it was very cheap to be able to eat such meat. I highly recommend it.

I was trying to find a place to have lunch after finishing some errands, but many places were closed due to the holiday. Finally, I found this restaurant and decided to have lunch there. It had an old-fashioned café-like exterior, but inside it was neat and calm. I chose the fish of the day, which was sautéed sea bream. The kitchen was busy making noises. First, I was served a potato potage soup, which was average. The sea bream looked plain on a simple white plate, but it was cooked nicely. It was served with a bisque sauce, which didn't have a strong shellfish flavor, more like a diluted ketchup. However, the fish itself had a good taste, so I didn't need to use much of the sauce. The bill was 900 yen. It was a good value for the price, and I was able to relax. Thank you for the meal.

About a 5-minute walk from Tanimachi Rokuchome Station on the Osaka Metro Tanimachi Line, I walked west along the arcade of Karahori Street from exit 4. Today, there was surprisingly no line at the old Yamu residence, so I passed by it and turned left onto a narrow street. Soon after, I reached what looked like a beauty salon, but I continued past it and went all the way to the French restaurant in the back. I turned back and safely entered the restaurant. It was just before noon, and there were four young men in suits sitting at the table in the back as the first customers. I sat at a two-person table near the front and ordered the meat set for lunch. Today's dish was Beef Stroganoff. First came a generous serving of potato soup in a soup plate, bringing out the flavor of the potatoes beautifully. The main dish, Beef Stroganoff, was served on a separate plate from the rice. The dish included diced potatoes, carrot glacé, and simmered daikon in consommé. It was a classic and delicious Beef Stroganoff.

♪Old bistro on the coastal street♪ (Sung by: Chauni) I finally visited the bistro "Rupage" that I've been curious about for a while! The veteran couple and the lovely older sister are working hard here. ★Fish lunch for 900 yen including tax♪ ◎Pumpkin soup♪ Wow, it's quite a generous portion and very authentic! ◎Red snapper sauté with rice♪ It may look a bit plain, but the snapper is fatty and the sauce and finely chopped vegetables are delicious! I started eating the main dish before remembering to take a picture, so I apologize for not capturing its original appearance.

I ordered a la carte and included a bottle of wine for around 5,000 yen. The fish dishes were tastier than the meat dishes.

I barely made it into the wine bar and only had one glass of wine and a platter. I heard about a "slightly tipsy set" in advance, but there was no such menu listed. Wine bars are usually expensive, but here, prices start at 500 yen per glass, which is quite rare. The appetizer platter was a perfect match for the wine. The owner seemed like the type to chat if you initiate the conversation. It felt like they were talking to regular customers the whole time. Even though I sat at the counter, it felt like I was spending most of the time alone, so I left after 20 minutes. This place seems more suited for groups, and it was my first time there.

I recently received a recommendation from a friend to try Bistro Gyarou in Karahori for a delicious bistro lunch. When I arrived in the afternoon, I noticed another restaurant in front of me. This place had also been recommended by my friend and received high praise from others. I decided to give it a try for lunch that day. As soon as I opened the door, I could smell the scent of tobacco in the air. Although I no longer smoke, I used to in the past, so I don't appreciate the anti-smoking atmosphere that feels like fascism. This place is a valuable spot for smokers who want to enjoy a meal while chatting with colleagues and puffing on a cigarette. Interestingly, all the customers that day were women, and every single one of them was smoking. It made me wonder if women have a higher smoking rate nowadays. For non-smokers, I must warn you that the air quality is like that of a mahjong parlor, so it may be unbearable for some. Moving on to the food, the prices are very affordable, with options like omurice, meat dishes, fish dishes, and even steak for just 1080 yen. I opted for the fish dish (830 yen) which was sautéed sea bream wrapped in prosciutto with a mornay sauce. It came with rice and soup. The white kidney bean soup was delicious, and I imagine it would taste even better if enjoyed outside of this smoky environment. However, the main dish was a bit underwhelming in terms of presentation and seemed like it was lacking in effort. The service was also not as good as others have mentioned, giving off a vibe more like a run-down bar. Just wanted to share my experience for your reference.

The 2-hour all-you-can-drink A course for 2980 yen is amazing for the quality of wine and food. If it were in Honmachi or Umeda, it would be double the price. In Azabu or Roppongi, it would be 3-4 times the price. Here are the dishes for the A course priced at 2980 yen, Vol.1 to 5. By the way, the dishes may vary depending on the day.

Finally visited a restaurant I had wanted to go to for a while. The kitchen and service were both excellent. The menu is mainly based on tables. I had a glass of white wine and a cup of oolong tea. For the courses, I had fish soup, grilled sea bream with pear, beef stewed in beer, and mushroom spaghetti. For dessert, I had a basil sorbet and a chocolate grape cake. Everything was delicious. The portions were just right for someone who likes to try a variety of dishes. The prices were reasonable and the service was attentive. The total cost was around 6500 yen. I felt like it was a great value for the quality of food and service. I would definitely like to visit this bistro again.

Osaka is located near the Tamachirokucho Station, slightly south of the Karahori Shopping Street, at the Bistro & Wine Bar "Lupage." Visit on H26.7.30 This day, we couldn't enter the desired shop due to a private reservation, so we visited this place instead. We were the only customers at an early hour, so we were able to choose our favorite seats. ["Slightly Tipsy Set"] This is a set that we always order when we visit. It includes appetizers and a drink, so it feels like a good deal. The appetizers included a salad of daikon and pine nuts, foie gras with onions, and escabeche of fish. All of them were well-seasoned, but personally, I preferred the previous visits' appetizers. ["Saury with Lemon Sauce"] Saury, a small mackerel. It seems to be topped with lemon sauce, but it's not too sour. The saury was tender. If the skin was a bit crispier, it would have been better. The buttery flavor of the mushrooms served on the side was good and added a nice touch. ["Macaroni Shrimp Gratin"] The white sauce was ordinary. The macaroni was generously filled. The accent of mushrooms was nice. It was a hot day, so the owner was working in just a shirt. The interior may be a bit too casual. The kitchen is especially hot, so I can understand the feeling, but... Next, we will move on. Thank you for the meal. Visit on H26.3.14 at night. This day, a friend wanted to drink Bruno Paillard, so we came to this place. We ordered Bruno Paillard and some wonderful appetizers. ["Assorted Appetizers"] Olive canapé, sea bream and mashed potato canapé, cheese puff, Tasmanian salmon terrine, sour cream, and cherry tomatoes. They were all well-seasoned and went well with the wine. This dish for 980 yen is highly recommended. ["Grilled Sea Bream Scales"] The visual presentation was impressive. The crispy sea bream scales were irresistible. The skin was crispy and delicious. The slightly sweet sauce was unnecessary. It was delicious as it is. My friend highly praised this dish. ["Foie Gras and Beef Fillet Steak Rossini Style"] The tender and light fillet steak with a flavorful foie gras was delightful. When cut with a fork, the juicy and flavorful fat from the foie gras was mouthwatering. The combination of fillet steak, foie gras, and sweet and savory sauce was delightful. I wanted to drink red wine, so I ordered a glass of wine, but it was a mistake. I should have ordered a bottle. Thank you for the meal. Visit on H26.2.28 This day, after visiting Tsurugyu and Kinouya, we came to this place. We had lunch here before and were looking forward to dinner. It was near Kinouya, so we decided to visit. When we entered, we saw that they were having a welcome party or something similar, as it was almost full. When we asked if it was okay to sit even though we had already eaten, they kindly allowed us to sit at a table that was available. ["Slightly Tipsy Set 1,000 yen"] You can choose from various drinks, so I chose sparkling wine. After a while, the reliable dishes arrived! The chef personally brought them and explained each dish. Olive canapé, salmon marinated in sour cream (wrapped in scallops), sea bream and mashed potato canapé. They were all prepared to go well with wine and were incredibly delicious. It's almost too cheap at 1,000 yen... My friend asked the staff if he could see the wine list and menu, even though he couldn't drink anymore, and they kindly brought them over with a smile. After that, the chef seemed to have calmed down, and he came over to teach us more. There are many menu items that caught our interest, so we will visit again. This time ===========

Located in a quiet alley just off the bustling Kuromon Shopping Street in downtown Osaka, Bistro L'Purge offers a unique dining experience. Despite opening in 2012, the restaurant has already garnered high praise from regular customers. I decided to try their highly recommended lunch menu, which offers great value for money. Upon entering the restaurant, I was greeted by a retro atmosphere reminiscent of a Showa-era coffee shop. The cozy interior blends in perfectly with the surrounding neighborhood. The seating is casual and relaxed, and as soon as I sat down, a carafe of water and a glass were placed on my table. I visited on a Saturday around 11:30 am, and by noon, the restaurant was already full of regulars and office workers. The lunch menu offered on Saturdays is the same as on weekdays, featuring options like Omu-rice with soup and salad for 700 yen, and a choice of fish or meat as the main dish with soup and rice for 800 yen. The meal started with a creamy white bean soup, served piping hot and bursting with flavor. The soup was rich and velvety, with a distinct bouillon taste that was truly satisfying. The main dish I ordered was the beef beer stew in Flemish style, which came with a generous portion of tender beef chunks in a flavorful tomato sauce. The meat was hearty and the sauce had a nice balance of richness and acidity. The dish was accompanied by marinated broccoli, cauliflower, and sauerkraut, adding a refreshing touch to the meal. For dessert, the chef came around to each table and offered a complimentary dessert to celebrate the restaurant's first anniversary. I was served a delightful compote and jelly of Pione grapes with yogurt ice cream, which was a perfect ending to the meal. The only downside was that smoking is allowed in the restaurant, which slightly detracted from the overall dining experience. Nevertheless, the delicious and carefully prepared dishes, along with the warm atmosphere, made for a memorable meal. I look forward to returning for future anniversaries and enjoying more of their consistently tasty food.
