Located in front of Kyobashi Station, the tonkatsu restaurant Amont is considered the most popular tonkatsu restaurant in Osaka at opening time, and it's a place where reservations are hard to come by. With the help of Mr. Noguchi, they have created a unique "Noguchi-style neo-tonkatsu." Despite the reasonable prices, the effort put into making the tonkatsu is significant, with a method that involves double-frying in oil of different temperatures and then using residual heat to cook the meat all the way through. Amont has evolved its own unique style since opening, including methods for removing excess oil from the breading. The tonkatsu at Amont truly embodies the essence of the restaurant. Amont is currently developing evening menu items beyond tonkatsu, and on this day, I tried their new menu item, katsu curry. While the tonkatsu set is relatively affordable at Amont, the katsu curry is actually a bit pricey. This is because the pork used in the curry is the same high-quality brand as the tonkatsu, a different premium brand each day. The generous portion of pork makes for a luxurious katsu curry. The pork used that day was Sanemone loin, a versatile pork with a good balance of lean meat and fat, and its tender texture pairs perfectly with the simple curry sauce. The curry sauce is more about the umami and sweetness of vegetables than being fruity, and as you progress through the dish, you start to feel the kick of the spices. It's not overwhelmingly spicy, but rather a gradual heat that might make you break a sweat. For those who don't like spicy food, it's still manageable, and for those who want more heat, you can add extra spice using a special oil. Despite being a spicy katsu curry, the European-style curry has a surprising sweetness from the vegetables, making it a unique and enjoyable dish. If you're looking for incredibly delicious tonkatsu at a reasonable price, Amont is a restaurant that should be at the top of your list. Thank you for the meal.

I found a tonkatsu restaurant brand on Tabelog. Lately, they have been increasing in Osaka. Compared to Tokyo, the prices are higher and the taste is not as good, but I ordered the hirekatsu set meal. The cabbage comes out first, which is nice. The tonkatsu is delicious, so the rice goes down smoothly. However, I have been eating tonkatsu at many places recently, so I'm starting to get tired of it. This is just my personal opinion. Thank you for the meal.

I went to a lunch place that serves sweet and delicious pork. I was able to get in without waiting, but the restaurant was full. I was recommended to try the ribs and shrimp fry, which you can get refills of cabbage and rice. It took some time for the food to be ready, but it was worth the wait. The ribs looked delicious with a nice glaze on top. The meat was tender and juicy, with a sweet fatty flavor that spread throughout my mouth. The shrimp fry was crispy and tasty, especially when eaten with tartar sauce. The sauces provided - original sauce, soy sauce, and salt - were all delicious. This was the best pork cutlet I have ever had.

First visit. "Tonkatsu Amon" in Kyobashi. Friday, September 8, 2023. Today I had a work assignment in Kyobashi. It's my first time visiting "Tonkatsu Amon." I have seen high praise for this place since it opened in April, so I was looking forward to this opportunity. I arrived at 11:53 and managed to secure a seat in the nearly full restaurant. I ordered and the tonkatsu arrived at 12:09. I paid at 12:25 and left. I ordered the loin and fillet tonkatsu set - loin 150g, fillet 70g. Today's meat was from Mochikita pork (Hokkaido) for 2,680 yen. I was torn between the popular rib loin, but being my first time, I decided to go with loin and fillet. The breading was light and crispy, providing a wonderful texture, and both the fillet and loin were tender and delicious. The loin had a nice richness from the marbling, offering a unique enjoyment. The condiments included sauce, soy sauce, salt, and mustard for different flavor variations. I particularly enjoyed the salt, as it allowed me to savor the meat's flavor directly. The set came with salad, rice, miso soup, pickles, and a small portion of tartar sauce, keeping the meal interesting. The tartar sauce had a great flavor, making me want to try their shrimp fry next time. I have been exploring tonkatsu restaurants lately, and "Tonkatsu Amon" is at the level of top establishments, which made me very happy. I will definitely visit again. #TonkatsuAmon #Kyobashi

I visited the restaurant during lunchtime. I arrived before 12 o'clock and was able to be seated right away. There were only 5 other customers at the time. This tonkatsu restaurant in Kyobashi opened in April. The interior has only a counter with 7 seats, spaced out with no partitions, and it is very clean as it has only been open for 5 months. The atmosphere is a mix of traditional and modern, creating a pleasant environment. I ordered the "Hirekatsu set meal for 2280 yen" and the "Hirekatsu a la carte for 900 yen". It took about 20 minutes for the food to be served. The tonkatsu seemed to be fried at a low temperature, leaving a slight pinkness in the center. However, the breading started to feel a bit greasy as time passed. The pork used today was from Mochikomi pork, tender and with a satisfying texture. Although the flavor was good, it felt a bit lacking in richness and juiciness. The table condiments included sauce, tonkatsu soy sauce, salt, and dressing. I particularly enjoyed the tonkatsu soy sauce, which paired well with the pork. This restaurant opened in April this year, and I believe it has the potential to further improve and excel in the future. Thank you for the meal.

I tried the rib loin cutlet set meal for 2,680 yen and the shrimp fry for 550 yen at a new tonkatsu restaurant in Kyobashi where you can taste the best brand of pork every day. The rib loin cutlet was from the Hayashi SPF brand that day, and it was delicious! The pork was sweet and the texture was delicate and tender. I had been cheating on Hayashi SPF with the Hitoshi Ranch Kanahabuta pork recently, but Hayashi SPF is still great! The shrimp fry was crispy and the tartar sauce was delicious too. It was a great meal!

The tonkatsu I had here was on a whole different level compared to what I've had before. Skilled chefs using high-quality ingredients really make a difference in the dish. Whether dipped in salt, soy sauce, sauce, or tartar, each flavor was unique and delicious. I found myself debating which sauce to dip into next. I will definitely be revisiting this place soon.

I had always wanted to try "Amon," a place recommended by many for delicious tonkatsu in Kyobashi. The tonkatsu here is made by an Italian chef, and you can choose from set meals or a la carte options for lunch. They open at 11 am, which is convenient for early lunch. The set meal includes both loin and fillet tonkatsu, cabbage, rice, miso soup, and pickles, all served already fried. The fillet tonkatsu is tender and juicy, with a unique meaty flavor. The loin tonkatsu is also tender with a nice sweetness. The sauce and tartar sauce complement the tonkatsu well. The breading is light and crispy, but may become a bit soggy if left for too long. The miso soup is hearty and comforting. I wanted to try the triple tonkatsu, but opted for the double, which was satisfyingly light. I will definitely return when I crave tonkatsu again. It's already becoming popular, so I wonder how long I can go without a reservation...

My wife and I decided to have dinner outside, so I asked her what she wanted to eat, and she said she wanted to eat the pork cutlet from this place we had talked about before. I made a reservation just in case and we headed to the restaurant. We arrived 5 minutes before the evening opening time, and there was no line, so it might be a hidden gem for dinner. You can still have the same set meals as lunch even in the evening. The pork from different parts of Japan was listed on the menu, showing their commitment to quality. We ordered the Rib Roast cutlet, which was delicious and juicy. You can have extra rice and cabbage. The meat was tender and juicy, and we enjoyed it with sauce, salt, and tartar sauce. The pork cutlet was amazing, and we also enjoyed the miso soup and pickled cabbage. Overall, we were very satisfied with the meal. I highly recommend trying this place before it becomes too popular. Thank you for the delicious meal!

A high-end tonkatsu restaurant has appeared in the commoner's town of Kyobashi. The menu is extensive and the attention to detail is impressive. The tonkatsu, fried at a low temperature, is pink, tender, and juicy. The shrimp fry is also delicious and plump. The tartar sauce is excellent, with a nice tang from the pickles.

Recently, high-quality pork cutlets have been really popular, right? This place also offers a new and promising high-quality pork cutlet. It's located not far from Kyobashi Station, on the back side. They use carefully selected pork from various regions. The frying process involves changing the temperature and slowly raising the core temperature under warm light. As a result, the inside is moist with a glossy and beautiful cross-section. The taste is of course outstanding. It's tender and full of flavor. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal.

Today, I came here after seeing that the cat master I follow on Tabelog had visited. I decided to start with the hire cutlet set because that's the way to go. It takes time to fry it slowly at a low temperature. Before the main dish, shredded cabbage and pickled Chinese cabbage were brought to us. Rice and cabbage are free for one refill, so I immediately got more. After a while, rice, miso soup, and tartar sauce were brought to us. And then the main dish, hire cutlet, was served by the guy behind the counter. I first tried it with salt. The fat from the hire spreads out nicely. I then proceeded to eat it with tonkatsu sauce, tartar sauce, and then regular sauce. It was quite delicious.

I visited Amon, a high-end tonkatsu restaurant that recently opened in Kyobashi. It was my first time trying high-end tonkatsu and it was delicious! I enjoyed a highball while waiting and the food did not disappoint. Although the price is a bit high, I definitely want to go back again. It's completely different from regular tonkatsu. I understand why high-end tonkatsu is becoming popular. I will definitely be a repeat customer. Thank you for the meal! ♡

Lately, tonkatsu (pork cutlet) is trending in Osaka! This time, I went to this newly opened place in April o(・x・)/ When I arrived on Sunday just before 12 o'clock, the first floor was full!! But don't give up, because they have a second floor too, so I felt relieved♩ Even if the first floor is full, don't hesitate to go inside as there is a second floor♡♡ The tonkatsu is deep-fried slowly, so it takes about 10 minutes after ordering. While waiting, you get cabbage, tonjiru (pork miso soup), and pickles♡ My friend and I ordered the loin, tenderloin, and shrimp fry, and we were satisfied!! The fat on the loin was very sweet♩ The tenderloin was tender!! The breading was crispy!! The shrimp fry was huge!! One nice point is that tartar sauce comes with the tonkatsu, which is different from others♡ Also, the white rice was shiny and delicious, even I could tell!! If you like white rice, try going there and let me know your thoughts!!! P.S. The owner of this place also has an Italian restaurant "Crono" nearby, which I visited before and it was stylish and delicious too♡ Thank you for the meal♡♡ __________________________________ Date and outing gourmet recommendations ♡ ▶ ️▶ ️ @tsuneo_official ◀ ️◀ ️ Please be friendly with those who love Kansai gourmet♩♩ __________________________________

Today I went to Kyobashi. I had been curious about a tonkatsu restaurant for a while, so I decided to go on a solo Tonkatsu adventure. I arrived at the restaurant a little before 12 o'clock. The restaurant is located just a 1-minute walk from the Katamachi exit of Keihan Kyobashi Station, or about a 5-minute walk from JR Kyobashi Station. It is located at the corner after passing through the Keihan Mall and turning left at the pedestrian crossing. The inside of the restaurant has only a counter with about 7 seats. There was one group of 3 customers before me. The menu features the classic options of loin, fillet, and rib loin, as well as a unique shrimp fry. I wanted to try the shrimp fry, so I ordered the fillet cutlet and shrimp fry set. It was served in about 20 minutes. - Fillet Cutlet and Shrimp Fry Set (2,580 yen including tax): The set includes a 140g fillet cutlet and a large shrimp fry. It comes with rice, miso soup, cabbage, pickles, and tartar sauce. You can have seconds for cabbage and rice. Both the fillet cutlet and shrimp fry have a coarse and light-colored bread crumb coating. It is crispy and light, and when you take a bite, the coating crumbles easily. The fillet is very tender and juicy (*´Д`*). I tried it without any sauce first, but it seemed to need a little salt. There are 4 pieces, so I tried both salt and sauce, but salt seemed to be the best. The shrimp fry also has a crispy coating, and the shrimp inside is large and has a firm and delicious texture. The homemade tartar sauce is mild in saltiness and has a gentle flavor. The pickled vegetables like cabbage are lightly pickled with low salt content. The cabbage comes with onion dressing, which has the strongest flavor. It's delicious, but be careful not to put too much. The miso soup has plenty of vegetables and other ingredients, but I'm not a fan of the bowl without legs (;´д`). I feel like I might drop it. Is it just me? The fillet on this day was from Hokkaido's Mochiki pork. It was my first time trying this brand, and it was incredibly tender with no distinctive taste. Personally, I was looking forward to the tartar sauce, but it was not as strong as I expected. I'm full now (*´Д`*). Thank you for the meal.

A new tonkatsu restaurant has opened in the Kyobashi area. The first floor has a clean counter layout where you can watch the tonkatsu being fried in the kitchen, while the second floor offers spacious table seating. The menu is simple, featuring dishes such as rib roast tonkatsu set and today's special pork from Hokkaido's Mochiki pork. You can also order items like fillet tonkatsu and the indulgent TOKYO X special. The meal starts with a salad and pickles, and a small portion of tartar sauce is a nice touch. The rib roast tonkatsu is crispy with a pleasant texture and overflowing with sweet fat. The fillet tonkatsu is tender and juicy, cooked perfectly to bring out the delicious flavor.

Friend quest. Visited Amon-san. Rumor has it that the master of Noguchi-san helped out with the opening, my heart is pounding. I couldn't imagine how crowded it would be, but when I arrived at 12:30, the restaurant was empty, which was surprising. It's always better to be able to eat quickly, so I entered the store right away. The interior of the restaurant is small with 7 counter seats. Today's ingredients are as shown in the photo. I had recently tried Iwate prefecture's Iwanaka pork, but I couldn't forget Noguchi-san's Awayuki pork rib roast, so this time I decided on the Hokkaido-produced Mochiki pork rib roast for ¥2680. (I was tempted by the triple, but today's main dish is pork after all.) It comes with cabbage, rice, miso soup, and pickles. The dressing has a citrusy and tangy flavor. I wish the rice was a bit more firm. The miso soup could have used a bit more dashi. The main dish, Mochiki pork rib roast, had a light and easy-to-eat fat impression. It can be enjoyed rare or well-done, with each slice offering different flavors. I tried both salt and sauce, and both were delicious. I've noticed that Kansai-style sauce often has a fig flavor lately, but it's tasty so I'm fine with it. Thank you for the meal.

Today, I came here to the area of "JR Loop Line & Keihan Kyobashi Station" where a recently opened tonkatsu restaurant caught my eye. The compact interior, with black and wood tones, features a kitchen on the right and a counter with 7 seats. The menu offers various cuts of pork such as loin, tenderloin, rib loin, and shrimp fry, as well as set meals and drinks. I ordered the "Loin Katsu Set" which featured pork loin from Gunma Prefecture. The thick-cut pork loin was coated in coarse white breadcrumbs and had a flavorful, slightly chewy texture. The sauce and Japanese mustard were my favorite condiments. The meal also included delicious miso soup, pickles, and cabbage with onion dressing. I had a second helping of the complimentary rice and finished my meal satisfied. It seems that there are more tonkatsu specialty shops in Kansai that focus on brand pork. The service was good. Wheelchair accessibility is okay once you pass the one-step entrance, restroom status unknown, and there is no parking available.

A new pork cutlet restaurant opened in an area that I often pass by, so I was curious to try it out. The interior had a simple design with only counter seats. I ordered the "Tenderloin Cutlet and Shrimp Fry Set for 2580 yen". I sat at a counter seat near the entrance where I could see the pure white cutlets being fried right in front of me. Watching the cutlets being cooked in clear oil made my stomach growl. The set meal came with pickles, cabbage, and what seemed to be homemade tartar sauce. Soon after, the pink and round tenderloin cutlet and shrimp fry arrived. The tenderloin cutlet was so soft that I could easily cut it without applying much force. The shrimp fry tasted even better when dipped in the tartar sauce. The staff seemed a bit inexperienced, but overall, it felt like a reward to have such a delicious pork cutlet restaurant in Kyobashi.

I visited "Tonkatsu Amon" on this day. The restaurant is located in Osaka City, Miyakojima-ku, Kata-machi. It is about a 5-minute walk from the nearest JR Kyobashi Station. The restaurant is on the first floor of a five-story building at a T-junction corner, but you can also go up to the second floor using the internal staircase. I visited on a weekend after 1:00 PM, and there were 4 customers at the counter, but I was able to sit down without waiting. I ordered a combination of fillet and loin for 2680 yen (tax included). There were two men in the kitchen and three women in the hall, mainly one person doing the cooking. The fillet and loin were pre-cut, coated with batter, first put in a low-temperature frying pan, then briefly placed in a high-temperature fryer for double frying. It took 18 minutes until it was served. The fillet and loin were served on a tonkatsu net, with cabbage served separately. The fillet had a lot of drippings, giving it a rich flavor, while the loin was delicious but the texture changed as the drippings seeped into the batter. Overall, the tonkatsu was tasty with the salt and sauce. I also tried the recommended tartar sauce, but unfortunately, it was not to my liking. I heard rumors of a connection with "Tonkatsu Noguchi," a restaurant that has been selected as one of the top 100, so I had high expectations, but it did not exceed them. Thank you for the meal. First visit! The interior and exterior of the restaurant are very clean and sophisticated. There is seating for about 7 people at the counter. There seems to be a second floor, but I'm not sure. I ordered the beef tongue and shrimp set meal! I was surprised by how tender the beef tongue was! It was delicious! The shrimp tartar was also delicious, and the batter on the shrimp was perfect!
