April was quite tough at work, so before Golden Week, I went out with my juniors for a relaxing party. They wanted to have yakiniku, so we decided to go to Tsuruhashi, the holy land of yakiniku in my opinion. We chose a restaurant called Tsurutsurutei, where we had been before. The meat was delicious, and they offered a great all-you-can-drink option. Young people eat and drink a lot, so to be kind to our wallets, we chose this place. We arrived at the restaurant and were seated promptly thanks to our reservation. Let's eat some meat! We ordered the Tsurutsurutei set, which includes A5 wagyu top sirloin, wagyu rib, wagyu kalbi, and a total of 500g of meat. It's limited to 10 sets per day, but it's a great deal in my opinion. We also ordered negi shio tan (green onion salted tongue), harami (skirt steak), and kappa (skirt meat). And for some speed, we got a kimchi assortment. We started with some draft beer, made a toast, and shared some stories about our hard work in April. But once the meat arrived, work was the last thing on our minds. The Tsurutsurutei set looked impressive, especially the thickness and marbling of the top sirloin. We took lots of photos and then let the juniors take over the grilling. We enjoyed the negi shio tan, top sirloin, rib, kalbi, kappa, and harami. The meat was tender, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. We drank a lot, ate a lot, and had a great time chatting about personal stuff. Before we knew it, we had overstayed our welcome at the table. The staff kindly reminded us it was time to leave. We had a hefty bill to pay, but we were grateful to Tsurutsurutei for the delicious meat and good times. I'll definitely come back with my partner next time. Thank you for the wonderful meal!
