天満橋のスーパーマン
=Final Review=
I limit my visits to the same store to 3 times, so I visited and ordered the Stone Bibimbap Set for ¥750. The side dishes were definitely 5 (lol). Mixing the hot dish was delicious with a medium level of spiciness and a hint of sweetness, and the egg yolk added a smooth texture. The crispy rice was also a nice touch, making it very delicious. However, it would be nice if it came with soup as well. I ended up taking home the leftover side dishes to enjoy with some drinks, despite not receiving the best reaction. Next time, I will try the Kimchi Jjigae, which I believe will also be delicious. The prices for set meals increase to over ¥1000 after 2 pm, which is a bit off-putting (lol). Also, the prices for Yukgaejang, Squid Pokka, and Ramen have gone up as well.
=Additional Notes=
This time, I tried the Yukgaejang Set, but I couldn't quite tell the difference from the Kimchi Jjigae. The spiciness was mild, and there were 5 small side dishes? When I asked, they said it varies depending on how busy they are? Hmm. Also, the set meals increase to ¥1200 to ¥1300 after 2 pm. I also bought Kimbap as a souvenir last time, but it was lacking in sesame oil, which was a bit disappointing. However, I found out that the store-bought Kimbap is unrelated to the restaurant, which was quite confusing. It's like a cultural communication barrier.
=First Visit=
Located 200 meters east of the famous Kuromon Market in the southeast part of Japan's busiest intersection, next to the long-established Western-style restaurant "Suhiroken," is a small, typical Korean restaurant with a simple interior featuring exposed fluorescent lights, cheap white walls, and a monitor playing Korean dramas, etc. There are 8 seats and 2 tables (4 seats each), with a tatami room on the second floor. The menu includes: ¥750 Stone Bibimbap, Kimchi Jjigae, Miso Jjigae, Dried Codfish Soup, Pure Tofu, Yukgaejang, Vegetable Porridge, Beef Porridge, Squid Pokka, and ¥1000 Ramen with Sundubu, served with rice and 4 side dishes. Be careful as the stone pot is boiling with tofu, pork, clams, bell peppers, green onions, string beans, and onions. It was delicious with a medium level of spiciness and a smooth texture. The side dishes were a mix of spicy and sour flavors, with ingredients like black beans, sesame seeds, and bell peppers. It was a good accompaniment for a break between bites, but the portions were quite large, and I struggled to finish it all. I should have taken the leftovers home to enjoy with drinks. They also sell food to go, so I ended up buying Kimbap (Korean-style seaweed rolls) for ¥500 as a souvenir.
