During my first visit, I made a reservation for a course in Hakata. I am the organizer leading a group of 7 people. The day we visited was a Friday, so the restaurant was very crowded. I understand that they were busy, but I wonder if the staff are properly trained. I want to share my honest experience to help improve this restaurant. When we arrived at the restaurant 3 minutes before our reservation time, we were asked to wait outside. We waited until the exact reservation time and then entered the restaurant. However, the previous group of customers was still eating, so we had to wait a while longer. By the time they finished cleaning up, 20 minutes had passed since our reservation time. We were understanding, considering how busy they were. Finally, we sat down hungry, hoping to enjoy our meal. However, when the course dishes were served, they forgot to bring plates and chopsticks for everyone. Even after requesting them, we had to wait until the 3rd dish was served. When they finally brought the plates and chopsticks, there weren't enough for everyone, so I had to wait longer. There was also a shortage of horse meat sushi, which I had to ask the staff to bring. The alcohol service was slow, and we had to remind them several times. We noticed that the course seemed to consist mainly of horse meat, even though we had ordered a different course over the phone. The menus on different platforms showed different prices, so we relied on the phone reservation. The alcohol service was slow, and at one point, four staff members were cleaning tables while we were waiting for our drinks. It seemed like they were short-staffed in the kitchen. Finally, when we checked the bill, it was for 6 people instead of 7, indicating more mistakes by the staff. Luckily, our group was understanding, but I was concerned about making the farewell party enjoyable for the departing colleague. This experience taught me to be more careful when choosing a restaurant. With masks being lifted and the world slowly returning to normal, I understand that restaurants are very busy, especially on Fridays in Hakata. To survive in such a competitive market, attracting and retaining customers is crucial. Based on this experience, I don't think we will be returning to this restaurant. Thank you for reading my honest feedback.
