I have been to Ryunosu in Shinsaibashi many times, but this was my second time in Umeda. It is located in a quaint alley off the Higashi-dori shopping street. The menu mainly focuses on horumon (offal), with fewer options for lean meat. The Nakaochi Kalbi for 900 yen was light and had a good texture. The Ura Harami for 950 yen was even lighter than the Kalbi, with a satisfying chewiness. We also enjoyed the Techan for 380 yen, Maruchou for 680 yen, and Urute for 480 yen, which are our favorite trio of white horumon. I'm not a fan of the fatty Maruchou, but the one here was fine. The Urute was crunchy, and the Techan was juicy. I've always wanted to try samgyeopsal, so we added the pork belly for 580 yen. The excess fat was cleanly removed, leaving only the savory flavor. Even with some drinks, the total bill for two adults and a child was around 8000 yen, which is not too expensive compared to other places. It's a popular spot for adults, so I felt a bit sorry for my child being fussy, but the staff were very accommodating and considerate towards children.

After drinking, I felt like eating katsu udon, so I came here. The broth was light and the katsu was delicious. Even though this place is a horumon yakiniku restaurant, they welcome customers who only want to eat katsu udon. I wish I could have eaten more. I will visit again next time.

Ah, it was delicious! For the third dish, I had katsu udon as the finale. Katsu udon is definitely a must-have in Osaka. I think it's one of the udon dishes that we can be proud of nationwide. I topped it with double katsu, umeboshi, grated yam, wakame, all mixed in the noodles. My stomach is so full now! Thank you for the meal!!

I don't often eat katsu udon in Tokyo, but when I went to Osaka, I definitely wanted to try it! A friend from Osaka recommended a place to try katsu udon, so I visited for the second time. There are various options, but since it was my second visit, I tried the spicy one (forgot the name). It was really delicious! The restaurant also serves yakiniku, which is tasty but a bit pricey.

I visited this restaurant after drinking heavily in Umeda. I went around 5:30 in the morning and there were a few customers inside. Since I was on a diet before summer, I opted for the low-carb noodles despite the slightly higher price. I was able to eat it without any noticeable difference from regular udon! This is the fourth restaurant in Tenma. When I came to Osaka, there was something I really wanted to eat... yes, that was "katsu udon". My friend who guided me in Tenma said that this is the perfect way to end a visit to Osaka, so we finally arrived at the long-awaited katsu udon. When it comes to katsu udon in Osaka, this place, Ryunosu, is the best. Even though I was already full from visiting three other restaurants, I couldn't resist ordering the horumon (offal) from a katsu udon restaurant. And wow, it exceeded my expectations! The horumon platter was fresh and incredibly delicious! And then, the katsu udon and katsu don arrived! Oh, this is delicious!! Coming to Osaka, I was a bit worried that the flavor might be a bit light compared to Nagoya, but this katsu udon had a rich flavor and was incredibly tasty! The saltiness was just right and it was really delicious. I'll be coming back to Osaka in November, so I'll definitely visit again! Ryunosu has several locations, so next time I want to try a different one. Thank you for the meal!!

★ When it comes to Osaka specialties, people often think of takoyaki, but personally, I consider "kasudon" to be another Osaka specialty that is absolutely delicious. In particular, the "kasudon" at Ryunosu is incredibly tasty, and I often go there as a place to have a satisfying meal after drinking. The combination of kasu, green onions, and kamaboko with "I ❤ kasudon" written on it is the best! It tastes especially delicious after eating yakiniku. I enjoyed it very much. I went to a udon restaurant to finish off the night with some sake around 11 pm. Despite the late hour, there were quite a few customers and the smell of grilled meat was enticing. The place seemed more like a yakiniku restaurant than an udon shop. We decided to try some offal dishes like tripe, intestines, and other unusual cuts like liver and tongue. Eating offal dishes at this hour was surprisingly delicious! They had a variety of dishes that would make great snacks for a second round of drinks. It's a good place for a second round or a late-night snack.

Every time I go to my regular sauna, I always pass by a hormone udon restaurant that caught my eye. The katsu udon with hormone from the restaurant has a nice flavor that seeps through, bringing out the umami taste. Thank you for the meal!!

Lately, I have a weakness for curry, haha. As always, the smooth and easy-to-slurp noodles are delicious! The curry broth sticks well to the noodles and tastes great! Some say that carbohydrates are needed along with water to break down alcohol, but at my age, I'm told not to eat after drinking. At that moment, I remembered there was a place nearby where I could eat katsu udon. I entered a noisy, crowded restaurant and sat at the counter asking for just katsu udon. It arrived. The Osaka-style udon was chewy, with a flavorful broth and the crispy pork fat added a delicious touch. Whoever came up with this idea must be a genius, I thought. I quickly finished my meal and left the restaurant. Katsu udon is delicious, but it feels a bit awkward to just eat that. Next time, I'll go drink and eat.

I wanted to eat horumon (offal) and found a place near my workplace that looked good, so I made a reservation. When I arrived at the restaurant, I realized I had seen it before and although I had a reservation, I had to wait a bit. The staff seemed busy but provided polite service! The walls were covered with business cards, which was interesting. The meat was average, but the kimchi was surprisingly not spicy at all! It wasn't bad at all! In fact, it was a kimchi that could appeal to those who can't handle spicy food. The restaurant was crowded and small. It seems that their specialty is katsu udon. It was delicious.

I visited on a Sunday night and it was very crowded. There seemed to be few staff members, so even when tables were available, there was a wait. I was dining alone and had to wait about 30 minutes to be seated (even though there were empty seats at the counter). The yakiniku menu had small portion sizes which were great for a solo diner and were reasonably priced. For dessert, I had the castella udon which was delicious with a sweet flavor.

I heard that the Tan, Harami, and Hormone at this restaurant are delicious, so I decided to visit. The Tan was a bit small, the Harami was okay, and the Hormone was good especially the larger pieces with a sweet fatty flavor. The Urute was a bit underwhelming as it was too small. The best recommendation of the day was the last dish, Tamago Toji Kasu Udon. It was delicious with a nice flavor from the kasu. This restaurant is recommended for ending the meal with udon and horumon dishes. Thank you for the meal.

I ended up at this restaurant because I really wanted to eat katsu udon. After making a reservation over the phone following Tonkotsu, they said if we were on the second floor... Upon seeing the atmosphere on the first floor, we went to the second floor and it had a really nice atmosphere. Before the katsu udon, we enjoyed some hormone. Every type of hormone was incredibly delicious! The food came quickly after we ordered, which was impressive! We didn't have to wait, so we drank and ate a lot (laughs). But the katsu udon we had to finish was incredibly delicious! It's been a while since I've had udon this tasty! I thought I would like to feed it to my family who stayed at home. I want to go again when I come back to Osaka!!
