When I got off at Namba, I met an old man chanting a spell while walking unsteadily. Ate kushikatsu under the Tsutenkaku Tower. The waiter was a foreigner and couldn't understand at all. Even Japanese people need an interpreter to eat in Japan, showing how internationalized it has become. The person at the next table was also Southeast Asian. Many foreigners were walking around the city. Foreigners making and enjoying Osaka specialties, giving them a Japanese twist. It felt like a French bed made in Japan.

I used to frequent a different location, but the restaurant has since moved to right in front of Tsutenkaku Tower. I ordered the frog leg tempura, which used to be delicious, and it did not disappoint this time either. The price seemed higher than before, but when the dish arrived, it was a huge portion with the whole body of the frog deep-fried, not just the legs like before. The increase in price was justified, and the dish was still very tasty. Thank you for the meal.

Each piece of pork cutlet is delicious, but if you eat too much, you may get a stomachache. The potato salad is heavy with fried eggs. On top of that, ordering fried takoyaki was a big mistake. It is recommended to carefully consider your order and start with small portions. You can place your order by scanning a QR code with your smartphone, which was a bit confusing for me at first.

I visited Kushi Katsu Jan Jan for lunch after sightseeing at Tsutenkaku. It was crowded when I arrived around 2:00 pm on a Sunday. The retro atmosphere of the restaurant was nice. I ordered a variety of skewers including a set of 10 assorted skewers and individual skewers. Unfortunately, the Osaka potato salad that I ordered was forgotten. However, all the skewers were crispy and delicious. In particular, the eel, quail, onion, and shrimp skewers were very tasty!

When I used to live in Naniwa-ku, Osaka, I visited this restaurant a few times. The cola was priced at 280 yen, and I don't care which manufacturer they use, but it was carbonated zero, and there weren't even bubbles in the ice. It's not good for a car to not provide proper drinks for tourists. Also, on Sundays when there are many customers, the skewered cutlets were the worst, with even the inside not cooked properly. It used to be better in the past. I have been to almost all the skewered cutlet restaurants in Shinsekai, and the level is high in each one. They should think about why there is a difference. Well, I won't go to this restaurant again.

I used to go to a restaurant near Tsutenkaku specifically for their skewers, but I've been avoiding it due to COVID. However, a friend wanted to eat skewers so I decided to go to Jyan Jyan. The previous restaurant had closed down and this one had become the main branch. The skewers seemed sloppier and the prices had gone up. The restaurant and restroom were also dirty. I understand the need for price increases due to COVID and global circumstances, but it was disappointing.

At the request of friends who came for sightseeing in Osaka, we went to Tsutenkaku... The restaurant had a great location with terrace seats where you could see Tsutenkaku perfectly. We ordered various dishes a la carte, and the skewered cutlets were just right in thickness and fried crispy, paired with beer! It was also excellent.

They are open late at night. I started with a highball, of course, I asked for a strong one. I ordered a variety of kushikatsu, and the shiitake mushroom was really good that day. For the third meal of my trip to Kansai, I went to Ichi-ban in Osaka for some kushikatsu. From the Dobutsuen-mae Station, I walked towards the famous tower and strolled through Shinsekai, feeling the lively atmosphere. I wanted to try kushikatsu since I was in Osaka, so after some research, I decided to visit Ichi-ban. The restaurant is located near the famous tower, giving it a vibrant atmosphere. I ordered the all-you-can-eat kushikatsu and all-you-can-drink option for just over 2,000 yen, which was a great deal. The kushikatsu was delicious, including squid, shrimp, sausage, asparagus, onion, pork belly, and more. Kushikatsu may not be familiar to those outside the Kansai region, but it was a delightful experience for me. The name "kushikatsu" may be misleading as it includes seafood and vegetables as well. The staff, especially the waitress, were efficient and friendly, adding to the overall positive experience. Despite a minor interruption during my meal, the affordable price, including the all-you-can-drink option, made me appreciate Osaka even more. While the title may suggest otherwise, I do not have a lover in Osaka. Consider it as an advanced version of saying "I love Osaka."

Today, I took a break here. I went on a cycling expedition to have ramen, but it was cold on the way back so I took a break here. It's located under the Tsutenkaku Tower, so there are a lot of tourists around. I ordered a highball because I was hungry. The couple next to me was acting silly, patting each other's heads and being playful. I finished my highball but the order took a while to come. I thought about leaving, but decided to stay a bit longer since my body was cold. Finally, my ham cutlet arrived. It was made with breaded red ham and was thick, but the taste was just okay. As my body started to warm up, I left the restaurant and headed home. Thank you for the meal!

I was very satisfied with Osaka, so on my last night, I decided to pay my respects to Billiken at Tsutenkaku in Shinsekai. It was a 20-minute walk from Dotonbori. I climbed up Tsutenkaku, greeted Billiken, and then because I was thirsty, I ordered a highball and just three skewers of kushikatsu. Sitting at the counter and looking at the menu, I felt the instinct to try various kushikatsu, but I couldn't eat much... so I opted for vegetable-centered kushikatsu. Even with my small order, they were accommodating and didn't make me feel bad. I enjoyed my meal while following the rule of not dipping the kushikatsu in the sauce more than once.

Today, I worked until morning again! On my way home on the subway, I must have fallen asleep and woke up at Dobutsuen-mae Station. Was this fate? I thought to myself as I decided to have a morning drink and explore Shinsekai! Since I'm already here, I feel like having some kushikatsu, so I decided to check out this restaurant that's open 24 hours. I randomly chose some items from the menu! Of course, I had to order the doteyaki! I started my solo party with a lemon chu-hi! Why does alcohol taste so good in the morning? I thought as the kushikatsu arrived all at once! The portions are quite generous! Each ingredient is just the right size! The kushikatsu itself is pretty standard, but the sauce is incredibly delicious! What is this magic sauce that makes the kushikatsu taste so good? I had read in reviews that the sauce was delicious, and it really is! The doteyaki was also very hearty! It had plenty of meat chunks! The cost performance is great too! If I had to point out something, it might be that the staff's chatter was a bit loud for this early hour, even though there was only one other customer. How can they forget the order when there's only one customer? Besides that, I was very satisfied! Thank you for the meal.

Well, for the third stop, if you're in Shinsekai, you definitely want to eat kushikatsu, right? But I don't want to wait in a long line just for that. Usually, the popular places with long lines have sloppy service and mediocre food. In the midst of that, there's a place that's quite popular locally and even favored by Saiki Ai, who became the head of Shin-Kigeki at the young age of 30 - "Ichiban". Even though it was the middle of Golden Week, we were able to get in without waiting. First, we started with a draft beer, cheers! We ordered the classic kushikatsu (beef), quail, squid, octopus, chicken tenderloin, scallop, pickled ginger, red sausage, shrimp, and hormone. Among these, the pickled ginger and hormone were incredibly delicious. The batter is like a "medium build and height" in the human world, with a hint of sweetness remaining. But what really stood out was the sauce! After the first bite of kushikatsu, my friend and I looked at each other and said, "This sauce is so delicious!" The sauce at Ichiban is by far the best I've ever had. We also ordered a highball and enjoyed more kushikatsu variations. Honestly, this place exceeded my expectations. When we finished and stepped outside, we saw a poster proudly advertising the sauce. It really is their pride and joy. It was a fantastic encounter with this potentially breakthrough sauce! And guess what? You can actually take home a bottle of this amazing sauce for only 450 yen! By the way, the kushikatsu itself is also delicious. Unlike typical kushikatsu places, they don't offer free cabbage, but if you're interested, come taste this amazing sauce! Thank you for the meal!

This is a restaurant in the New World that mainly serves kushikatsu. There are so many kushikatsu restaurants around here. It's almost like every restaurant serves kushikatsu, making it confusing for tourists to decide where to eat. I usually go to "Daruma," but this time I decided to try "Ichiban." The restaurant has about 8 counter seats and 7 or 8 table seats, so it's quite spacious. The waitress, a young woman with brown hair, seemed a bit indifferent. We ordered the following: kushikatsu, doteyaki, corn butter, tonpeiyaki, a draft beer, and a medium oolong tea. The total came to 3356 yen. I have no complaints about the taste, but considering the price, I'm not sure about the value for money. They also offer all-you-can-eat options at their annex, which might be more satisfying.

We stopped by this restaurant with a friend after playing a real escape game. It was recommended as a place to visit during the game. The various skewers were fried perfectly, and the appetizers were delicious. The restaurant was lively and bustling. Of course, double dipping in the sauce was not allowed. While organizing my album, I remembered this place and wanted to share my experience. This restaurant had a sign saying "No double dipping!" by the sauce, which got me excited just looking at it. I ordered my favorite skewers - kushikatsu, quail, baby octopus, mochi, camembert cheese, chicken thigh, etc. They were lightly breaded and fried to perfection. The Worcestershire sauce added just the right amount of tanginess and flavor to complement the vegetables. I couldn't stop eating... After this, I had to climb stairs, so I decided to go easy on the portion size! Haha.
