Underground bar stand New Tsurumatsu 3
New Tsurumatsu 3, located in the underground food court of the newly opened Parco, is really popular. It's my second time here, and it's always packed. You can enjoy day drinking here, and they also serve lunch. Of course, you can eat heartily at night as well, and you can even drink while standing. They have a variety of dishes, including Tsurumatsu's specialty sashimi platter, creative tempura like ikura canapé and salmon tempura with tartar sauce, hearty tuna rolled sushi, a mountain of clam miso soup, shrimp salt tempura rice balls for the finale, katsu udon, beef kalbi rolls, Tsurumatsu kimpa, and various types of tempura.

Lunch, dining alone. Had beer only. It tasted surprisingly good. Maybe it was Premium Malt's? The tempura was delicious, with a choice of two types of salt, very satisfying. Nothing extraordinary, but good value for money. The staff was friendly and cute, I like this place. Will definitely go again.

This is an izakaya located on the B2F of Shinsaibashi Parco, in the Shinsaibashi Neon Food Street. For lunch, I had the Ebi Tamago Donburi, which comes with 3 shrimp and egg over rice, two side dishes, and miso soup for 980 yen. The Shinsaibashi Neon Food Street is lively with various shops gathered together, making it a great place to visit during the day.

I went to New Tsurumatsu located under Shinsaibashi Parco! I visited on a Sunday around 4 pm, so there were plenty of seats available. The tempura dishes were interesting, such as salmon and shiitake mushrooms with cheese, and they were delicious! The sushi dishes were also visually appealing, like the one topped with a lot of salmon roe. The seating area was quite cramped, making it challenging to go to the restroom as you had to squeeze between people. The narrow spaces between tables made it scary to pass by without accidentally hitting the neighboring table's glasses. It seemed like there could be potential accidents, especially if someone got too drunk. The overall impression was not that it was a heavy meal, but the cost was over 5000 yen per person. The restaurant had a somewhat chaotic atmosphere, but be aware that the prices are accordingly high. Nonetheless, the food was delicious! I will definitely go back again!

I entered a busy restaurant. They serve Sapporo beer. Some items I wanted to order were sold out. It's convenient that you can order using QR codes nowadays. The food was delicious and the prices were average. There are other sushi restaurants nearby, so I don't mind going elsewhere. If it's not busy, I'll eat here, but if it's crowded, I'll go to a different place.

It is located in the basement of PARCO. This popular restaurant is always crowded as it is surrounded by other popular shops. The sashimi here is highly recommended and very delicious. All dishes are reasonably priced and very tasty. It's a perfect place to go with 2 to 4 people.

I had plans and went to Shinsaibashi in Osaka. At night, I went to the underground bar called New Tsurumatsu in the Neon Food Alley at Shinsaibashi PARCO. It was my first time at the Neon Food Alley, and it was very busy on a Saturday night! Every shop was crowded with customers sitting close to each other at the tables. Here is the lineup of what I had:
Food:
- Appetizer: Satsuma Age (330 yen) - It's rare to have Satsuma Age as an appetizer! It felt like a good deal.
- Awa Oi Chicken Tataki (680 yen) - The chicken tataki was served cold with grated daikon, and it was refreshing.
- Specialty Fish Platter from the fishmonger (999 yen) - A platter with Hamachi, Buri, and Salmon. The shrimp was the best! A whole large shrimp that was juicy and bouncy in the mouth.
- Specialty! Red Stew (380 yen) - The stew with offal was a specialty, and even though I'm not a fan of offal, I got addicted to it! The meat was tender, and I could taste its sweetness.
- Shiitake Mushroom Tempura and Dashimaki Tamago - The shiitake mushroom tempura was thick and juicy, and the dashimaki tamago had a strong salty taste that paired well with the alcohol.
Drinks:
- Grape Calpis Sour (580 yen) - Calpis Sour with frozen grapes on top! Crushing the grapes occasionally while drinking added a fun twist to the taste.
- Special Junmai Hakuraku Hoshi (583 yen) - It was my first time trying this sake. It had a crisp taste with a hint of sweetness, making it a good recommendation even for beginners.
Atmosphere, Customer Base:
The Neon Food Alley is a lively space, so there were mostly groups of customers. The atmosphere was always bustling!

What I ate:
- Expert Fishmonger's Assorted Sashimi Box (¥999)
- Potato Salad with Soft-boiled Egg Topping (¥460)
- Shrimp (¥220)
- Soft-boiled Egg (¥160)
I went to New Tsuru Maru, where you can enjoy tempura and seafood, located on the basement floor of Shinsaibashi Parco. The Expert Fishmonger's Assorted Sashimi Box looked great and tasted delicious. The Potato Salad had a unique flavor with crispy tempura crumbs and finely chopped pickled ginger, which I had never tasted before but enjoyed a lot. The crispy freshly fried tempura paired with some drinks made my day! Highly recommend trying the Expert Fishmonger's Assorted Sashimi Box for its taste and value.

We had lunch in Namba and went for a stroll around 4 pm. We enjoyed a special assorted sashimi platter for 999 yen, white fish roe tempura for 580 yen, and appetizers for 330 yen. We also had a large bottle of Akahoshi beer for 580 yen and a highball for 180 yen. The yellowtail, salmon roe, shrimp, crab meat, and other seafood were delicious and reasonably priced. Thank you for the feast!

The last shrimp miso was absolutely amazing! The sashimi platter was arranged beautifully. Just be cautious with the raw oysters. The tempura was ordered by my companion and they seemed very satisfied with it.

Underground bar stand New Tsurumatsu Osaka Shinsaibashi PARCO (directly connected to Shinsaibashi Station) This time I ordered the Ebi Tamago Toji Donburi (980 yen). My first solo lunch at New Tsurumatsu in a while. The Ebi Tamago Toji Donburi was a first for me. It comes with a bowl, miso soup, 2 small side dishes, and pickles. You can get a refill of miso soup. There were 3 large shrimp tempura pieces sticking out!! It was so nice to have 3 in there. The rice and sauce were plentiful and delicious. The small side dishes and miso soup filled me up. I left satisfied. Lately, I've been craving tempura for some reason, so I want to go back and try the chicken tempura next time. It was quite crowded during lunchtime, so it took about 15 minutes to be served. Maybe it's better to go a little later. This is the ultimate cost-effective izakaya located on the B2 floor of Shinsaibashi PARCO. Despite many dishes being topped with ikura, the prices are very reasonable. The quality of the food is high for the price, especially the seafood-packed sushi where the flavors of ikura and seafood spread in your mouth. The cozy atmosphere of the restaurant makes you want to stay for hours. Why not give it a try? ✨

Meeting a friend after about 3 years, we decided to have a drink together. Since I had been on a solo assignment for about 6 years and was not in Kansai, my friend requested to go to the neon food street in the basement of PARCO in Shinsaibashi. After looking around, we chose New Tsurumatsu. It was easier to enter compared to other outer stores, so we decided to give it a try. They ask for your first drink order, but for the rest of the food and additional orders, you can place them through your smartphone.
- Sashimi platter by a discerning fishmonger: 999 yen
Fresh and visually appealing. The neighboring girls were taking photos, so I guess it's Instagram-worthy. But us guys were satisfied with the taste.
- Potato salad: 300 yen
It had chunky potatoes, not just mashed, and the mayo wasn't too overpowering, which was nice.
- Specialty! Red simmered dish: 380 yen
Basically stewed offal, slightly sweet so adding some spice helps balance the flavor. I wish it had a bit more volume though.
The overall atmosphere of the floor gives off a neo-popular vibe, attracting many young female customers. The seating is a bit cramped, making it a bit uncomfortable. So, as an older guy, it might not be the best place for a long stay. There's also a New Tsurumatsu in Kamitomachi High High Town, which might be more suitable.

Located in the basement of PARCO, this place is great for drinking regardless of the weather, making it a convenient option for when you don't feel like moving around or when the weather is bad. I went with friends, so I didn't take many photos, but we ordered a variety of tempura and snacks. The tempura had unique options, which made it enjoyable. However, although there seemed to be many seats, they were a bit cramped and the drink service was a bit slow. Orders were placed through scanning a QR code with your phone. Overall, it's a good choice for a quick drink. Thank you for the meal.

Let's start by exploring a shop that I haven't been to on the basement 2nd floor of Parco. When I ordered as I pleased, I ended up choosing 2 out of the 3 recommended dishes. It's amazing how they naturally guide you to the best choices. The box assortment was overflowing with delicious ikura. The red simmered dish is a sure hit and goes perfectly with beer. The creative tempura with fresh sea urchin and shiso leaf may look smaller in person than in the photos, but the taste was still great. [Day Drinking] - Assorted fresh fish in a box ¥999 - Special Red Simmered Dish ¥380 - Creative Tempura with Fresh Sea Urchin and Shiso Leaf ¥420 - Draft Beer (Large) ¥520

I visited Tempura and Seafood New Tsulmatsu in Shinsaibashi, Osaka. It was my third day of Osaka trip. The restaurant is located in the neon street on the 2nd floor of Shinsaibashi Parco. There were several options, but I chose this one because it looked nice. As the name suggests, there were many tempura and seafood dishes, and I tried the sea urchin on a large leaf tempura. The sea urchin was okay, nothing special. The tempura had a lot of oil and a slight smell, so it was disappointing. It seems like the restaurant focuses more on appearance than taste. It might be a good place for just having a light drink, not for the food itself. They asked for the last order when I was about to leave, which was a new experience for me. Overall, it was an okay experience.

The Neon Food Street in Shinsaibashi Parco, which was created last year, is a new hotspot in Shinsaibashi where the entire underground area is filled with izakayas, including famous places like French Oden Akashiro and Stand Sono Da. While the main focus is on nighttime izakayas, most of the restaurants also offer lunch, which is a great bonus. This time, I tried the lunch at New TsuruMatsu located right by the escalator. The lunch menu includes Parco-exclusive dishes like a generously topped tempura bowl, a boxed seafood lunch, and a limited 5 servings per day Chikatsu-ru set meal, among other enticing options. I opted for the Seba-don, which was likely added to the menu hastily judging by its presentation. This Seba-don is a bowl overflowing with salmon and salmon roe, making it a visually stunning dish. Be sure to have a plate underneath as the roe tends to spill over once you start eating. After crushing the yolk and adding soy sauce, it's time to enjoy! By the way, you can get a rice refill with this bowl, so I set aside some of the abundant salmon and roe, got a rice refill, and enjoyed it in two servings. The visually appealing seafood lunch from New TsuruMatsu in the basement of Shinsaibashi Parco's Neon Food Street was a delicious treat.

I went for a daytime drink at Neon Town on the basement floor of Shinsaibashi Parco. I've always wanted to go to New TsuruMatsu after seeing it on various people's Instagram. Not only does it look good, but the taste was also great! First, we had a seafood platter for around 980 yen, which was enough for two people. It had sea bream, fatty salmon, salmon roe, shrimp, crab sushi, and more. The cost performance was amazing! The asparagus tempura was prepared in front of us by shaving Parmigiano Reggiano on top. The crispy asparagus paired perfectly with the cheese. The toro-taku roll stood out with its delicious fillings. Everything was tasty. Thank you for the feast!

Popular izakaya inside Parco, where orders are made through a smartphone app. If you don't have a smartphone, you can also order verbally. The sashimi platter seems to be a popular choice. I was dining alone and planned to try a few small portions. The potato salad with ginger slices was surprisingly delicious. The mushroom and cheese tempura is best when freshly fried. Overall, the izakaya offers good value for money with tasty dishes that match the prices. It may not have a special atmosphere, but it's a convenient and user-friendly place to dine.

There are 3 stores in the same location, each separated and narrow. The ordering method is mobile order.
- Goro Goro Potato Salad: A lightly seasoned potato salad with sweet and sour pickled ginger on top. Personally, I didn't like the combination.
- Tempura Various: You can order small sizes individually, which is good for those who drink alcohol. Prices are around ¥200 to ¥300. The famous chicken tempura is thin and if it costs ¥220 for one piece, I feel like it's not worth it. The salted potato butter lacked the saltiness of salted fish eggs, with an oily taste from the tempura and butter. The yellowtail with shiso and mentaiko was delicious. I didn't try the seafood, but the sashimi platter seems popular. It's cheap, but you get what you pay for, so I think it's more suitable for those who want to drink a lot of alcohol rather than enjoy the food.
