Tomorrow is my health check-up, but starting from tomorrow, due to the state of emergency declaration, alcohol will not be served in restaurants, so I must go and help save the stock of draft beer even a little. There are multiple Yamatoya group restaurants, but I visited the first one for the first time. Yamatoya does bulk purchasing, and even during business hours, they share ingredients with each other, but the cooking is done separately, and the menus are slightly different. The first store promotes set menus. You can order without hesitation. One coin set: 5 skewered cutlets, draft beer for 550 yen. Yamatoya set: 3 skewered cutlets, doteyaki, draft beer for 660 yen. A super bargain!? But the beer was small. Of course, the 5 skewered cutlets are beef, eggplant, green pepper, quail egg, and lotus root. The 3 skewered cutlets are the first three from the previous set. The doteyaki here is delicious. They also have doteyaki rolled in broth, so I'll try that next time. It must be delicious! I added a medium draft beer. I also ordered surf clam sashimi, spicy octopus tempura, skewered cutlets with shrimp, smelt, and sardine, and finally, pickled vegetables. The surf clam is delicious and cheap! The spicy octopus tempura is just fried octopus served with gochujang sauce on the side, but I think they use good quality octopus. And the leftover gochujang sauce goes well with vegetable skewers. The eel in the pickled vegetables is more generous than I expected. I'm happy because I didn't eat it on the midsummer day of the ox. It cost 4800 yen for two people. I feel sorry that I couldn't contribute much to their sales! I couldn't ask if they were going to close from tomorrow, but if the declaration is lifted, I'll definitely go back!
