Ribot
Hello, it's Ribot here. Fresh review. Until 5/1 it's Ramadan, but work wasn't going as planned and I was getting frustrated, so I decided the day before that today I would either go drinking or have ramen! As soon as the clock chimed, I punched out my time card and left work. On the way from the office to the station, I happened to meet a colleague and friend from Tobata and vented my frustrations to him. He said, "It's rare to hear you complain like that - alright, I'll join you for a drink!" So, without getting off at our usual station, we stayed on the train all the way to Hakata Station. I briefly thought we might end up in Omuta at the end, but my friend vetoed that idea (laughs). We decided on a place to go somewhat randomly, but my friend suggested going to the main branch of "Temujin." He's a true-born Kitakyushu (Tobata) local, but I also have connections to Hakata, so I've been to this place a few times before, but hadn't posted on Tabelog, so I agreed. It's a super famous shop from way back. We ordered bottled beer, vinegar tripe, and yakisoba. And also both pan-fried and boiled dumplings. The vinegar tripe is a classic and still delicious! A Fukuoka specialty that you only occasionally see in Osaka. Why isn't it more popular when it's this good? I promptly ordered another beer. The yakisoba has a taste that's like a typical Chinese dish in a casual way. To put it simply, it's like "Gyoza no Ohsho" style. But with ingredients like kamaboko, it has that Fukuoka touch. The dumplings have a reliable, stable taste. The boiled dumplings are also tasty, but the real highlight is the bite-sized pan-fried dumplings! We've decided to go all out and hit multiple spots, but we can easily down two pieces in one go. As for the title story, there was a time when back then, when Ohsan, who was the manager of the Daiei Hawks at the time (not Softbank), came in and I was surprised. At that time, the Hawks culture wasn't as established as it is now, so it didn't cause a big commotion. I'm a die-hard Hanshin Tigers fan, so I wasn't particularly interested in Ohsan because he came from the enemy team (Giants). (Back then, cell phones didn't have cameras, and digital cameras weren't as common (revealing my age (laughs)), so I didn't take any photos or get any autographs, but I do remember being a little moved by how gentlemanly he was with the staff and the hardcore fans. ===========
