I went to Kanidouraku Anemoto Bekkan in Nishi-Shinsaibashi, Osaka. It had been a while since my last visit. This time, I tried the 20,000 yen course. First, I had steamed crab, which was easy to eat as the shell had been removed. The crab miso was delicious on its own. Next, I had crab sashimi with wasabi soy sauce and ponzu. Then, I tried a dish with crab sauce, but the sauce was cold and not as enjoyable. Lastly, I had crab shabu-shabu, which was incredibly tasty. The soup had a perfect balance of sweetness and acidity, and the generous amount of crab was delightful to eat. The melon dessert was also delicious until the end. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

I visited a high-class crab restaurant in Osaka for a banquet on May 11, 2023 at 6:30 pm. I like this restaurant, which is affiliated with Kani Douraku, because it has a luxurious interior with private sunken kotatsu seating where you can enjoy a leisurely meal. The prices are on the higher side since it's a crab restaurant, but the food is delicious and satisfying. If you're going to Kani Douraku in Dotonbori, I highly recommend choosing this place instead.

There were so many menu options to choose from, but this time I went with the Ruri set. It cost around 10,000 yen per person! There was also zosui (rice porridge) which filled me up! I think there were about 7 dishes in total. There was also a tagged crab dish which cost around 50,000 yen, but considering I can't travel right now, I thought it was okay to pass on it. I'd like to try the tagged dish next time. There was also fresh squid! Be sure to make a reservation in advance!

I suddenly felt like eating crab, so I visited the restaurant. I arrived half an hour before my reservation time, so I was looking for a place to wait and have a coffee. However, I ended up at the restaurant already. When I asked if it was okay to wait, they assured me it was fine and showed me to my table. Thank you very much.

I wandered around Shinsaibashi and then had a late lunch here. - Hana (Hanayagi) @9,680 yen - Appetizers: Crab vinegar dish, Crab sashimi comparison, Crab gratin with crab sauce, Crab tempura, Crab sukiyaki small pot, Crab sushi comparison, Dessert - Asahi Beer (bottle) @748 yen - The atmosphere is like an old ryokan. I prefer the atmosphere of Kani Doraku Honten. All the dishes were delicious. As winter approaches, I start craving crab. Thank you for the meal!

I came here for a crab indulgence lunch that was included in a supposedly good deal bus tour. After looking up the menu, it seems to be around 3000 yen course. Hmm, the tour wasn't really that great of a deal after all. I sat down, and the crab rice is already cooked. One crab leg with a small body... probably frozen since it's out of season. Crab miso dressing with yuba roll salad. The texture of the yam is good. Crab steamed egg, with some crab meat. Crab dumplings, more noticeable for the minced meat than crab. Crab tempura, with thin legs... Crab rice. Crab meat on top. There was plenty of rice. Ice cream. The matcha flavor is strong and good. Since the season and price were like this, I didn't have high expectations, but it was as expected. If I were to indulge, I would go for a more expensive course. Thank you for the meal.

A little extravagant indulgence in crab cuisine. We were guided to a private room on the second floor and enjoyed crab dishes in a quiet space! There were hardly any foreign tourists now, so maybe that's why it was quiet. We had a course of crab hot pot and hairy crab! The course included appetizers such as egg tofu, crab vinegar, crab sashimi, grilled crab, crab hot pot, porridge, fruit, and a total of 8 dishes. The timing of the next dish being served was so perfect that it felt like they knew exactly when to bring it out. Up until the porridge course, a cute Vietnamese waitress served us, but when it came to the porridge, a veteran lady came and made a perfectly seasoned fluffy egg porridge for us! The porridge was delicious and went down smoothly even when we were already full! The crab chopstick rest, crab pot, and crab merchandise were also cute and interesting. The seating was non-smoking, and there was a smoking area before the restroom. There was no smell of smoke as mentioned in previous reviews, which was good. The prices are a bit high, but being able to enjoy crab dishes in a relaxed environment makes it worth going occasionally!

(Osaka) This is a restaurant affiliated with Kanidouraku located in Dotonbori. Tonight, I visited here with N-san for a meal (she requested crab). We made a reservation in advance and ordered the Matsukaze Crab Course for 13,000 yen (excluding tax) in a private room on the second floor. We enjoyed a variety of crab dishes including crab sashimi, grilled crab shell, deep-fried crab tofu, and extra-large crab shabu-shabu. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Kani Doraku is always a must-visit for our family once a year, especially in winter. We always enjoy eating crab, especially the crab sashimi - it's the best. The toro is delicious too, and of course, all the courses on the menu are great. We had tempura with salt, and it was amazing. We were all so focused on eating the crab that there was minimal conversation, but everyone left very satisfied.

It seems to be a restaurant in the same category as Kani Doraku, but a step up. Crabs always give me a year-end feeling, and I think it's nice. Unlike Kani Doraku, you can relax in a private room here. I ordered the minimum course with "sashimi, crab vinegar, hot pot" like I did at Kani Doraku, and then ordered some individual items. The crab sashimi is rich and creamy, with a deep flavor that is really delicious. The crab sushi is also delicious, just like the sashimi. When you dip it in the crab miso that I ordered separately, it's incredibly delicious. The rice is just okay, but it's not a sushi restaurant, so that's understandable. The crab vinegar brings out the flavor and sweetness of the crab. The hot pot has a lightly sweet broth that is light and tasty. You can even enjoy the crab essence in the porridge. And one of my favorites is the crab cream croquette. It's not on the menu at Kani Doraku, but they will make it for you if you ask. It comes with ketchup and tartar sauce, but it's delicious on its own. I also like the crab sake that I order knowing I'll get drunk. Since it's the first stop for our year-end party, I made sure to take photos. Today, I am full and satisfied at the end of the year.

When I crave crab, I always go to Tsukiji Doraku and Anamotobekkan. Even in the summer, you can enjoy delicious hairy crab. I usually visit in the winter, but sometimes I come in the summer too. The crabs are live and priced by weight, but the meat is so delicious! Ah, happiness. I enjoyed grilled king crab, live crab, and squid sashimi. I also had crab cream croquette, crab gratin, and crab sushi until I was so full I couldn't move. I ate a whole extra-large hairy crab and a whole squid sashimi by myself, shared the rest, but it was so overwhelming that I couldn't move. I forgot to take pictures. Next time, I will come to Marutoku for the classic luxury snow crab in the winter.

Heart Shinsaibashi is located on the outskirts of Amerikamura, known as "Anemoto". It is a store that is treated one rank higher within the "Kani Doraku" group, using the highest class of crab that cannot be found in the 40 stores nationwide. There are main and annex buildings, and only the annex building serves lunch, so we visited the annex this time. It has a traditional Japanese inn-like atmosphere with an elevator, a garden, a stream, and a building within a building. The majority of the seating (if not all) is private rooms, and the servers are quick and efficient. The speed and accuracy of their service is something that other traditional Japanese inns should learn from. Despite this, they do not charge a service fee. The draft beer is reasonably priced at around 600 yen, similar to an izakaya. My father, who claimed to have quit drinking, opted for a sweet potato shochu with hot water. The appetizer consisted of crab jelly and other items, which were decent but not exceptional. The crab vinegar was easy to eat and had a nice flavor. The crab sashimi was delicious with a rich and creamy texture. The crab chawanmushi was ordinary, similar to what you would find at a conveyor belt sushi restaurant. The grilled crab, on the other hand, was exceptional with a tantalizing aroma. The crab hot pot was presented in a traditional inn style, but lacked a bit in presentation. I felt that I would have been better off ordering more of the crab sashimi. The crab rice dish was a bit underwhelming with three small rice balls. I decided to order additional dishes, including crab sushi and crab maki rolls, which were both satisfying. The dessert was mediocre, and I felt that a single Pino ice cream would have been more satisfying. After enjoying some drinks and additional orders, the bill came out to around 7,000-8,000 yen per person, which was quite reasonable considering the quality of the crab and service. It's a great place for gatherings with family or old friends, thanks to the killer content of "crab".

From Shinsaibashi to Namba, there is a famous crab cuisine restaurant called "Anemoto Bekkan" located in Nishi-Shinsaibashi 2-chome, Chuo-ku. It is known as the "hidden gem of crab lovers". I visited this restaurant for the third time, this time with my family on a holiday for lunch. We made a reservation and were guided to a private room on the second floor after mentioning our name at the entrance. We started with Asahi Super Dry beer. The winter special course (8140 yen) included dishes like steamed tofu with crab, boiled crab, crab sashimi, Taraba crab in white shantang style, crab shabu-shabu with turnip, crab sushi, and dessert. The atmosphere was perfect with complete privacy and a non-smoking environment. The dishes were served at a comfortable pace, allowing us to relax and enjoy the meal. I wonder if the restaurant will be crowded soon. "Thank you for the meal."

Kani Douraku - Visit to the Master's Shop I finally got to visit a restaurant I've admired since I was young. It made me realize how much I've grown up. The crabs here are larger and more delicious than usual. Even though they didn't have any fresh crabs from Hokkaido that day, the ones in the tank looked lively. The crab vinegar sashimi, grilled crab, and deep-fried crab were all surprisingly delicious. And the crab soup that followed was truly amazing, with a rich and flavorful broth. This is a rare gem where you can experience the traditional dashi culture of Kansai.

Visited a luxurious crab restaurant for my wife's birthday with the kids in tow. This place really satisfies my wife's love for crab dishes the most. It's great that kids are welcome here, as it's hard to find such upscale restaurants that allow children. The kids' menu is also impressive, even adults would enjoy it. We had a relaxing time here!

At night, I felt like eating crab, so I went to Kani Doraku. It's about a 10-minute walk from Namba Station. The private rooms are spacious and very comfortable. I had a course meal full of crab dishes. It cost around 7800 yen. The crab was firm and juicy. You can also order crab tempura and other dishes separately, which is convenient. For dessert, we had sushi. They even wrapped up the leftovers for us to take home, so we could enjoy them later. Thank you for the delicious meal.

This is my wife's favorite restaurant, the very famous "Kanidouraku". They serve reliable crab dishes here, which my wife loves. She seems to really like the quality of the crabs served here, so we come here occasionally when she craves for it. The prices are not cheap, but we think it's worth it compared to going on a crab trip (laughs).

We had a New Year's party with 8 people at night. We ordered the cheapest course which didn't include grilled crab. The crab was delicious as usual. For those who eat a lot, the portion might be small. The whole place was non-smoking. It seems to be affiliated with Kani Doraku.
