Opened in April 2023, "Charcoal Grill Mo Dan" is located in the Daimyo area, less than a 5-minute walk from Akasaka subway station. The restaurant has a small counter with only 5 seats, creating an intimate atmosphere. In addition to set menus, they also offer a variety of a la carte dishes, including seafood options. The drink menu features a selection of sake, wine, and a wide variety of Japanese whiskies. The appetizers included a refreshing Goya and Myoga salted kombu salad and a Nanban pickled dish. The dishes sampled included a Japanese-style caprese salad with Hokkaido "Kita no Kiwami" tomatoes and cream cheese, a sashimi dish with fresh horse mackerel, a set of 5 assorted skewers, Kyoto duck gizzard, soft-shell shrimp skewers, hand-breaded fried horse mackerel, and a chilled pasta dish with prosciutto and melon. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, making it a great place for solo diners as well.
