Le Chocolat Alain Ducasse at Daimaru Shinsaibashi has been on my radar for a while. Located on the B1 floor next to the escalator in the confectionery section, the store looks high-end and during Valentine's Day events, they only sell sets of 2-3 chocolates (which I usually buy for myself). I hesitated to enter because it seemed too upscale, but finally decided to go in. The most affordable option was a coffee for 770 yen, which came with a bonbon chocolat. The coffee was a bit bitter and the chocolate had a sweet and sour flavor. The tableware was also elegant, with a Yellow de Chrome cup and saucer. The chocolate was simple yet delicious, and I couldn't help but think that the acidity in both the coffee and chocolate complemented each other. I would like to try pairing it with a less acidic coffee next time.

This is Alan Ducasse's chocolate. They used to have desserts, but recently they seem to have changed to only serving drinks. The "Chocolat Glacé" costs 1,100 yen including tax. It is a rich chocolate drink with a pistachio chocolate on the side.

After the end of the sale, it was my first visit. The drink at a certain cafe was not that great, so I ordered a Chocolat Glacé (cold chocolate drink). It came with a sample chocolate. The Chocolat Glacé was delicious with a bitter taste. Since the chocolate seemed like it might melt in the heat, I also bought three baked goods to take home.

We are not closing down, but dessert service will end on April 16, 2023. Drinks will still be available, but it's sad... I tried the new dessert "Coupe Chocolat Fraises". Such a well-crafted dish, we won't be able to enjoy it in Osaka anymore...

Located on the underground floor of Daimaru Shinsaibashi, here is Le Chocolat Alain Ducasse at Daimaru Shinsaibashi. The stylish atmosphere was palpable, so I ended up buying some for myself as well as souvenirs for my acquaintance. The Gâteau de Voyage 6-piece set for ¥2160 caught my eye. While this shop mainly focuses on chocolate, due to the hot weather, I opted for something in the financiers category. It was delicious. The sweetness was just right, not too overpowering, making it a perfect match for coffee, whiskey, or tea. Personally, I really enjoyed the Cookie aux Raisins. The raisins were moist and flavorful, with a hint of salt that was just right. I paired it with tea. It was well received as a souvenir, so I highly recommend it.

I had some Osaka city premium meal vouchers left, so I finally decided to visit a cafe that I had been curious about but never had the chance to go before. It was the LE CHOCOLAT ALAIN DUCASSE cafe at Daimaru Shinsaibashi, supervised by the French master Alain Ducasse. The cappuccino was delicious, almost like a chocolate shop by Alain Ducasse himself. The prices were a bit higher compared to self-service cafes, more like a hotel cafe, but I believe it was worth it. I also bought some macarons, which were also delicious. The interior was more like a eat-in level, so the menu and atmosphere didn't quite match, but it was a long time since I had such a elegant and enjoyable cafe time.

I visited the shop on a regular Wednesday afternoon at 4:30 PM. There were no customers in the shop, and only one group of customers in the cafe. I wanted to have a chocolate drink, so I chose one of the two options available. Since it is autumn, I decided to have a cold chocolate drink instead of a hot one.

It's a Tuesday afternoon in Shinsaibashi, and the otter, feeling a bit groggy from waking up at 4 am, decides to replenish with citric acid at Daimaru. While his blurry vision and presbyopia have improved, his mind is still a bit fuzzy. But no worries, when feeling like this, a sweet treat is the answer. Realizing he just needs more glucose, he locks onto the idea of chocolate. Alan Ducasse's cold café glacé catches his eye. The dish arrives, and he takes a sip. Mmm, the aroma of cocoa is delightful. His brain, which was half asleep, awakens with the rush of glucose. He quickly writes a review on Tabelog during his free time. And with that, the meal is finished.

I arrived at 11:40 and since the café space didn't open until 12:00, I looked at other shops for a bit. I tried the Pavlota Chocolat, which had an exotic flavor with mango that was sweet and sour, and the jelly was soft and chocolaty. The fresh kiss-shaped meringue added a nice texture. Thanks for the ¥200-off coupon from Daimaru's application, I also used my points when paying.

This is a record of the past. Actually, there was a permanent store of Alain Ducasse in Osaka. It is located in the basement of Daimaru Shinsaibashi store. Daimaru Shinsaibashi store itself seems to be empty since the outbreak of corona. Also, there are Marivel's eat-in, Ishiya Seika, Echire, and GODIVA, which is said to have only four stores nationwide, in the basement. Surprisingly, Daimaru seems to have many chocolate stores. This time, I went to Pablo, which is scheduled to be available until mid-September. It cost 1,800 yen, so I felt like I was splurging. The taste was really delicious. To be honest, I don't like foreign chocolates, but this was different! Is Pablo meringue? The cream in the center of the photo is chocolate cream. There are also cocoa flakes, mango, and lychee at the bottom. It was more delicious to eat it all at once than to eat it separately. For me, it's a reward dessert, and I want to go again. But there are too many places I want to go to... so it might be a while before I revisit.笑

I tried the new dessert "Pavlova Chocolat Exotique" and it was delicious. It's a refreshing dish with mango, perfect for early summer. Since it's Father's Day, I bought some dragees and a dessert wine (Enoteca) from Tayuvan to take home. The tableware in the photo is from Jean-Louis Coquet. I wish I had come here yesterday, but I couldn't resist the temptation of fruit daifuku and ended up going to Hankyu instead, where I didn't buy anything in the end. At Alain Ducasse's store, they have assortments of financiers and ice cream on display.

"Alan de Cas chocolate shop. It's a chocolate shop located in the Daimaru basement, with a casual cafe attached. The shop feels a bit too casual for its high-quality offerings. I always think they could make the cafe a bit more spacious. Sometimes I treat myself and go in. The sweets are all over 1500 yen. They have weekday sets, but adding sweets costs an extra 500 yen, so there's no real sense of getting a deal with the set. Maybe it's set up for wealthy ladies to easily stop by between shopping. I decided to go for the Coupe Glacée au Chocolat. It came in an elegant dish with chocolate ice cream or shaved ice, cream, and a chocolate lid. Warm chocolate was poured over it, and as the lid cracked, I savored each bite. The authentic, not overly sweet chocolate was delicious. I carefully savored each bite. The portion was just right so my mouth didn't get too cold. When I have authentic sweets, I usually order tea, and they use French Kusmi Tea here. It's loose leaf tea, but served in tea bags. The steeping time might not matter, but the lukewarm temperature bothered me. It seems like it's okay to just order a drink here. It's not the kind of place you just pop in for a quick bite."

I tried a unique dessert where hot chocolate was poured over it to melt it. It was a bitter chocolate with a coffee-flavored cream, so it was quite bitter. The mint-flavored sorbet inside helped refresh my mouth. The chocolate mousse was not too sweet and had a strong chocolate flavor.

I love chocolate, but when I really want to eat something delicious, the prices can be quite surprising. The quality and effort put into making chocolate can vary, so it's natural that the prices differ. As a result, I don't eat high-quality chocolate on a daily basis, and I tend to save it for special occasions or as a reward. That's why I'm grateful that we have a Japanese-style Valentine's Day in February, which is perfect for chocolate lovers like me. I received a box of Ganache Origin assortment with 6 pieces, and it was delicious. The chocolate is made from three different origins: Peru, Java, and Madagascar. Although I'm not a chocolate expert who can pinpoint the differences based on the origin, I enjoyed comparing the flavors and finding my favorite. Ganache is made by mixing chocolate and cream, resulting in a smooth and creamy texture that pairs well with coffee.

It's been a while since I visited the Daimaru Shinsaibashi store and bought some chocolates from "Le Chocolat Alain Ducasse". They are delicious, no doubt about it. I also discovered a sparkling Japanese sake supervised by Alain Ducasse, which I bought at the Takashimaya Osaka store's sake section. It seems you can also buy it online.

Many people think of G●DIVA as a luxury chocolate, but compared to here, it's not surprising that it's now sold in convenience stores. When I went to Alain Ducasse's café in Tokyo for the first time, I was shocked. It was so delicious. Sweet, bitter, and almost dizzying. When I bought some to take home, I was asked if it was for personal use. I answered that it was for a souvenir. Then I was told, "Our chocolate is real. The cocoa is strong, so if it's for children, they should only have up to 2 pieces." My friend's child, who accidentally ate 3 pieces without being told, had a nosebleed. The power of real cocoa is amazing!

Le Chocolat Alain Ducasse at Daimaru Shinsaibashi Coupe Glacée au Café for 2090 yen and Kakigori Menthe Chocolat for 1980 yen. The stylish café Coupe Glacée au Café located on the basement floor of Daimaru Shinsaibashi already looks delicious just by watching it melt. Both were really delicious. If you like chocomint, I recommend trying the Kakigori. It was the most elegant chocomint I've ever had. Thank you for the meal! 🚶♂️

Today is shopping day! I bought a fall/winter bag and super cute short boots. Then I wandered around the food section and found myself at Alain Ducasse! I really wanted chocolate, so I decided to get some semi-dried citrus fruits like grapefruit, lemon, and orange covered in dark chocolate, as well as some crunchy nuts covered in dark chocolate. I want to enjoy them as a snack with champagne! It was a bit pricey, over 3000 yen for 100 grams, but worth it to savor slowly. I also got some iced coffee to go. Next time, I might try their chocolate desserts in-store! At home, I'll enjoy the chocolate little by little, savoring it with some drinks. I'll definitely come back!

I've been curious about this series for a while, a stylish shop located on the basement floor of Daimaru Shinsaibashi. It's the first Kansai outpost of Le Chocolat Alain Ducasse ✨✨✨. I've purchased chocolates and macarons multiple times, but this was my first time eating in, so I excitedly rushed in. Here's what I ordered:
- Coupe Glace au Cafe: A thin disc of chocolate with warm chocolate sauce poured over it, a sophisticated and adult-like dish that is simply delicious.
- My companion ordered the Profiterole with chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream, which looked delicious.
We had a rich and elegant tea time. The macarons are also moist and rich in flavor, super delicious! ✨✨✨.

The operating hours of Le Salon (cafe) have been shortened. It is from 12:00 to 20:00 (retail from 10:00). Please note. I tried the summer classic "shaved ice".
