I visited "Dofuku" for lunch on this day. It is a Chinese restaurant run by people from the continent. It is located in Hakata-ku, Fukuoka, in Higashikoji-cho on Chikushi-dori. It is right across from the Chikushi-dori at the commercial mall Hakata. The private parking lot is secured for 2 cars at the entrance to the parking lot of the building behind the store, Luccesto MAEDA. After opening for lunch, there were 3 customers already inside. I was guided to a counter seat. The lunch specials for the day were 3 types: "A. Taiwan Ramen + Fried Chicken + Rice Set 900 yen," "B. Seafood Tsukemen 950 yen," and "C. Seafood Tantan Tsukemen 1,050 yen." Ordering is done by scanning the QR code prepared at the counter with your smartphone and inputting the order through the dedicated website. A bit troublesome... ● A Set Taiwan Ramen + Fried Chicken + Rice 900 yen The ingredients include plenty of ground meat, leeks, and bean sprouts as toppings. The soup is not too spicy, based on chicken broth with a slightly sweet soy sauce blend, with a smooth mouthfeel. The noodles are medium-thin with a slightly wavy curly texture due to high water content. The leeks and bean sprouts have a crunchy texture. The ground meat is seasoned on the rich side, blending well with the light soup. The fried chicken is freshly fried, with a nice crispy surface and juicy meat! The seasoning is just right and delicious. The rice is freshly cooked and served hot, with the perfect texture. The portion size is decent! I finished it thoroughly. I wonder if dishes like "Mapo Tofu" or "Stir-fried Pork with Green Peppers" that other people were having are the signature dishes? It seems like they also have a variety of set menu options! One thing that caught my attention was that there was no sign with the restaurant's name at the private parking lot behind the store! It's in a corner of a residential building parking lot, so I wish they would clearly mark it... Thank you for the meal m(_ _)m

"I had the A set lunch at a Chinese restaurant, which included mapo tofu, fried chicken, and rice. It was super filling and delicious. The mapo tofu was spicy and irresistible, making me cough a bit. The style of the mapo tofu was more watery and easy to eat. I realized at the end that it's great to pour it over the rice. If this lunch spot was nearby, I would definitely go there often. They also had a set with shredded pork and green peppers, as well as noodles. It was so appealing. I was impressed."

On my second visit to the restaurant, I made a reservation for 7 people and had the 10,000 yen course. When I inquired about the price of the course during my first visit, the owner confidently stated that reservations for courses start at 10,000 yen. The meal included appetizers like spicy abalone and drunken chicken, a soup with soft-shell turtle and matsutake mushrooms, and a unique dish of shark fin in a flavorful sauce. The base of the soup turned out to be made from the shells of the ingredients used in the dish, which was a surprising revelation. The meat had been stewed for several days and then strained to create the base, but the owner did not disclose the exact ingredients. The meal also featured Peking duck with spring pancakes, mapo tofu with cod milt, sea cucumber and scallion stew, eel and garlic stir-fry, and a simple fried rice to balance out the rich flavors. The dessert was a subtle white fungus soup, providing a taste of the mainland. Overall, the meal was rich in flavor with hints of Beijing cuisine techniques throughout, making for an interesting dining experience.

I visited the restaurant twice. The first time was around 9:00 pm for reconnaissance with a friend. We ordered various dishes a la carte. The owner of the restaurant is a Beijing-style chef, evident from the way he uses chili peppers and salt in the dishes. There were many dishes like lamb spine hot pot that are typical of northern Chinese cuisine and very enjoyable. For appetizers, we ordered saliva chicken, which had a strong spicy taste, dried meat and asparagus stir-fry, eggplant and minced meat stir-fry, and dim sum like xiaolongbao and steamed shrimp dumplings. We also ordered dishes like chicken with chili pepper stir-fry, salt stir-fried water spinach, and the giant vegetable hot pot. We also ordered a simple fried rice, but since there were only two of us, we were quite full (laughs). We were impressed by the chef's skills, so we decided to gather a group and negotiate with the owner for a set course. The owner promised to create wonderful dishes for each person at a price of 10,000 yen (excluding tax), so we agreed. Seven people gathered, and what happened next is a story for another day.

I am looking for my favorite delicious fried rice. There are so many variations of fried rice with different flavors and cooking methods that it is difficult to find the perfect one. I am not particularly picky about the taste, as most fried rice dishes are delicious to me, but finding one that is a perfect match for my taste is rare. My ideal fried rice is a sophisticated salted fried rice with a hint of punch, similar to what you would find in a high-end Chinese restaurant. 1. The rice is light and fluffy, not dry but moist throughout. 2. The amount of oil is slightly restrained but still has a punch of flavor. 3. The base is a lightly salted fried rice with a subtle taste, not as strong as a soy sauce-based fried rice. 4. The frying level is elegant and not too browned, with a clean and refined appearance. 5. The ideal ingredients include egg, green onions, shrimp, crab, char siu, shiitake mushrooms, and bamboo shoots. Lettuce and carrots are not included, as they are not to my liking. I have yet to find this ideal fried rice in Fukuoka, so I visited a restaurant in search of it. I arrived on a rainy weekday, waiting for the opening at 11:30 am as customers started to come in. I ordered through an app, a rare style of ordering. From the past reviews, I saw photos of fried rice and mixed fried rice, but there was only one type available for 750 yen, so I ordered that. It took about 20 minutes from ordering to arrival, quite a long wait. The portion size was great even for a regular size. The taste was delicious, fantastic! It almost perfectly matched my preferences 1-4. However, I have to nitpick... The only ingredients were egg and green onions. The base flavor and frying level were perfect, and it was so delicious that I couldn't stop eating, but I still felt like something was missing without any pickles or side dishes. I am willing to pay extra for additional ingredients, so I am looking forward to visiting again in the evening to enjoy a fried rice with luxurious toppings.

I visited the Chinese restaurant Dongfukuro on Tsukushi Street. The staff all seemed to be Chinese. Most of the customers were also Chinese, so it didn't feel like Japan, haha. I used a QR code to read the menu. I like shrimp chili, so I ordered it. It was spicy and the shrimp was firm and delicious. I was able to pay with PayPay. I was also interested in the sweet and sour pork with plenty of black vinegar. They have a wide variety of set menu options, so I would like to visit again.

I used the QR code to order my lunch at this restaurant. It was my first visit, so I decided to start with the mapo tofu. The mapo tofu here was very spicy, just as it looked, and I found myself sweating as I ate it. The portion was quite generous, so by the time I finished, I was full. This place is popular, so I recommend visiting before 12 pm.

I took a golf lesson at the Canal City Hakata commercial mall, and then headed to "Doufukuya" right across the street. I've been taking lessons for about three years, but I didn't know there was a Chinese restaurant right in front of me (^^; The exterior looks quite grand, so I hesitated for a moment before going in, but it turned out to be surprisingly affordable (lol). I ordered the shrimp chili set meal (850 yen) and the liver and leek set meal (750 yen). They were both generous in portion and cost-effective! The shrimp chili was sweet with a strong sour taste. It might be a bit too sweet as a side dish for rice. The liver and leek had a crispy coating on the liver with a good taste and texture! I'm looking forward to visiting for dinner next time♪

I usually have a hard time getting in, but I went in the heavy rain, so I was able to sit down without waiting. However, it was full. I had the recommended green pepper pork set meal from a friend. It was so delicious! The green pepper pork was elegant, but had a strong flavor. They use food close to pesticide-free levels and are particular about seasonings, so there is no roughness. Even though it's Chinese food, it doesn't have a greasy feeling. The almond jelly was not too sweet, but had a refreshing sweetness to finish it off. My companion had the daily special A set meal. Noodles + rice + fried chicken + salad. As soon as they took a sip of the Tanmen soup, they kept saying, "Delicious! Delicious!" almost 50 times until they finished eating.

I came here for the first time since the face-to-face renewal of the commercial mall! I tried the daily special mapo tofu set meal for 880 yen! The mapo tofu here comes in an iron pot, so the intense heat and spiciness just keep on going, it's irresistible! I don't know what's in it, but various spices mix together to create a spicy and delicious flavor. By the time I finished eating, I was sweating but feeling refreshed. Thank you for the meal!

I had been eyeing this place for a while, and recently I finally went there with my family. Looking at the menu, I thought it might be Sichuan cuisine because it looked spicy. We ordered a dish with lots of stir-fried chili peppers and some classic dishes. It was definitely spicy, but it had a healthy kind of spiciness that I haven't tasted in Japanese food before, so my body was satisfied. The food went well with alcohol, so I was happy. The only downside was that we couldn't find a parking spot! In the end, we had to wait for about an hour and a half at the Starbucks across the street before heading home. Thank you for the meal. I gained another handball in my hand.

I have known about the commercial mall on Tsukushi Street for a while and sometimes visit. It tends to be crowded with office workers during lunchtime. When it's hot like this, I always crave Chinese food. The restaurant is spacious, with tatami seating in the back. The lunch menu is varied with set meals and noodles. I had a hard time deciding, but ended up choosing sweet and sour pork, which I don't usually eat. It came with the main dish and white rice, soup, side dishes, pickles, and almond jelly. The cost performance was amazing. The seasoning made the rice go down easily. Thank you for the meal.

I had a proper family dinner outing last year to end the year. Instead of my usual personal gatherings or drive-thru McDonald's visits, we went to Tong Fukyo for dinner. I often go there alone for lunch, but when I go with my family at night, we can try a variety of dishes. At night, they serve appetizers like kelp tsukudani and boiled soybeans with yuba. Everything we ordered, from water dumplings to fried chicken, fried rice, and mapo tofu, was freshly made and delicious. The dishes were authentically Chinese and the staff, mostly Chinese, added to the experience. My daughter, who is a fan of condensed milk, was satisfied with the fried bread she had. Even my husband, who is usually critical, gave high praise. It was a great way to end the year with a satisfying meal at Tong Fukyo.

This is a high-level authentic Chinese restaurant in Fukuoka, where the service is at a level that is unimaginable by Japanese standards. The closing time is also arbitrary. However, the food is delicious, so I will come back again.

Anyway, it's slow. The accounting is also strange. The prices on the receipt and the menu are different.

I heard rumors about a restaurant without additives and decided to check it out. When I saw the kitchen using Fujijin soy sauce, I got worried, but I decided to look at the menu first. I tried the century egg with a sauce made with Chinese soy sauce, which was surprisingly delicious. I especially liked the sauce. I also ordered ramen, egg fried rice, and boiled dumplings. The dumplings dipped in the sauce were light and tasty, and the ramen, although the broth seemed weak, was just right with the thick sauce. The pepper was a nice touch. The only disappointment was the fried rice, as it was a bit dry. Overall, considering how to order, it should be fine. I also thought the chef's skills and humility were impressive. I will definitely go back.
