Hanano Shoten, located near Tennoji Station North Exit and Abeno Chika 7 Exit, is open from 9:00 to 13:00 and 15:30 to 20:00 (closing at 19:00 on Saturdays) and closed on Sundays and holidays. This traditional standing bar is known for its 120 yen kundama (skewered meatballs) and offers a variety of sake options. While they don't serve homemade dishes, they have a selection of dried snacks and canned foods. The atmosphere is reminiscent of old-fashioned standing bars. Don't miss out on trying the Super Dry beer for 430 yen per large bottle. The popular Hanano Shoten will be closed from August 11th to 15th.

After finishing work at the site in Ueponcho, I took the Tanimachi Line and headed to a quiet alley where I found "Kabushiki Kaisha Hanano Shoten". It didn't look like a large-scale company, but maybe they have a warehouse for wholesale business in addition to this storefront. I knew I could stand and drink here, so I decided to give it a try. The place was bustling but not full, so I managed to find a spot by the wall opposite the counter. I ordered a sake called "Sanadamaru" and also tried a local sake called "Shitennoji". They also sold canned beer in addition to bottled beer, which added to the traditional feel of the place. The regular customers gathered around the small counter, enjoying their drinks, which also added to the traditional atmosphere. I tried a smoked boiled egg called "Kuntama" and found it quite delicious. It was a nostalgic and traditional standing bar experience that I enjoyed. Surprisingly, they accepted PayPay for payment, which added a touch of modernity to the traditional setting.

I visited the Flower Field Shop that I had always wanted to go to. When I arrived in front of the store before 3 pm, the owner was still on a lunch break, but kindly welcomed me in and showed me to a seat at the counter. I started with a large size Lemon Highball from the barrel and a mix of nuts. The Lemon Highball without ice was served generously and cost 220 yen, a great value. Soon, more regular customers started coming in, making the atmosphere lively. I ordered a dry sake and some grilled fish cake as well. The sake was served generously in a glass, and the fish cake was placed on a piece of paper. I enjoyed nibbling on the fish cake while sipping on the sake. It was a pleasant time spent at the Flower Field Shop.

I was thinking of leaving after having a drink at Sakuya at JR Tennoji Station North Exit, but I felt like I hadn't had enough, so I came back and it was open! Yes, it's the night-time Hanano Saketen! Even though it's almost closing time, it's bustling with regular customers. I quickly ordered a large shochu highball and tried the smoked egg for the first time. It was described as "the scent of autumn, a delightful smoked egg for 110 yen" so I had to try it! The taste was like a boiled egg! The aroma was a bit like natto, which I like. I ate it in two bites, so I also added shrimp chips and Paul Wiener for 100 yen! It's been a while since I've seen the lively face of Hanano at night.

This day started at 8 am in the morning at JR Tennoji Station North Exit. The second stop was of course at this place that opens at 9 am. On this day, three of us lined up at the same time. First, we ordered Asahi beer in a medium-sized bottle and some bamboo skewers. Everyone called for the bamboo skewers... ah, a sense of solidarity (laughs). After finishing the beer, we switched to a small-sized shochu mixed with nuts and almonds for 150 yen. The hot topic among the regular customers that day was the professional baseball interleague games! The talk battle between Hanshin Tigers fans and Orix Buffaloes fans was fun to listen to.

JR Tennoji Station, solo sixth round at the bar while waiting for the train. This is my second visit today. As always, the place is packed. The average age is high, but the turnover is quick, so I quickly found a seat at the counter. On this day, after visiting 7 places, I decided to go with a light chu-hi (large) and some shrimp crackers. As someone who loves dry snacks, this bar feels like heaven. Everyone here drinks so elegantly. There was a sign in front that said "NO WARYES KUN balls 110 YEN" with a seasonal comment. I am truly grateful that I can drink peacefully here anytime. Cheers!

Hanano Shoten, located at Tennoji Station North Exit, Abeno Chika 7th Exit, is open from 9am to 1pm and 3:10pm to 8pm (closing at 7pm on Saturdays) and closed on Sundays and holidays. Although they do not serve home-cooked meals, their canned and dried goods go well with alcohol. For just 480 yen, you can enjoy multiple glasses of shochu with their "Kan Tsuma" (canned snacks), while their peanuts are priced at 120 yen. Another popular item is the "Kun Tama" at 110 yen. The friendly owner runs the shop alone.

Hanano Shoten, located near Tennoji Station North Exit and Abeno Chika 7 Exit, is open from 9am to 1pm and 3:10pm to 8pm (closing at 7pm on Saturdays) with Sundays and holidays off. While they don't offer homemade dishes, they have a wide selection of canned and dried goods, with their specialty being "kuntama." Their canned treats like scallops and snow crab pair well with alcoholic beverages. You can enjoy a glass of aged barley shochu "Tenenkin Gold Label" for only 270 yen, which is a great deal. The owner runs the shop alone, but it's a welcoming place for both men and women customers. Although the shop may close with the owner's retirement, it is hoped that it will continue for a long time. Hanano Shoten, located near Tennoji Station North Exit and Abenochika Exit 7, is open from 9:00 to 13:00 and 15:10 to 20:00 (closing at 19:00 on Saturdays) and closed on Sundays and holidays. While they do not serve homemade dishes, they offer a variety of canned and dried foods at affordable prices for drinking. You can enjoy a drink with the same snacks at home, but somehow it tastes better when consumed at the shop. Plus, you don't have to worry about disposing of trash. They offer large bottles of Super Dry for 400 yen and canned highballs at low prices. I personally enjoyed a can of beer and barley shochu "Taden" with umeboshi (pickled plum) as an accompaniment. Even without homemade dishes or seafood, you can still enjoy a delicious drinking and eating experience. They also have a wide selection of Japanese sake. Today I had a casual lunch drink at a standing bar called "Hanano Shoten" located on the north side of JR Tennoji Station. The interior of the shop has a counter that can seat about 5 people and two tables made from beer cases. When I peeked inside, it seemed crowded, but the owner called out to me to come in. I sat at the desk in the back and started with a draft beer. The snacks available were peanuts, canned food, sausages, and fish cakes. I also tried a local sake called "Sanadamaru" with tempura. The draft beer was 400 yen, a large bottle of beer was 410 yen, and the local sake was 400 yen. The owner was very friendly, and I had a great time chatting with other customers while enjoying my drinks.

On the last day of July, I had lunch at "Tempura and Wine Kojima Tennoji Store" and then spent some time leisurely enjoying the "Pola Museum Collection Exhibition" at Abeno Harukas Art Museum. After feeling thirsty, I decided to replenish with alcohol instead of water. Unfortunately, the nearby standing bar "Hanano Shoten" was closed for a break until 3:10 pm. I checked other places while walking around and found "Sushimaru Tennoji MIO Store" to pass the time until Hanano Shoten reopened at 3:30 pm. Despite arriving only 5 minutes after opening, Hanano Shoten was already almost full. Luckily, I managed to get a seat at a small table and enjoyed a refreshing drink of draft highball without ice and a unique sake called "Sanadamaru Junmai." It was a pleasant experience surrounded by regular customers. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I'm drinking in Tennoji. We were thinking of going to another place, so we wandered around the deep spot on the north side of JR Tennoji Station. There were various shops in the area, and we had a few places we wanted to visit, but as we reached the end, we stumbled upon an interesting shop. It was a sake shop with a standing bar in the corner. We felt like we had to check it out, so we went in. It was full of regular customers, but we were able to find a spot in the back. We started with bottled beer, Asahi Super Dry. It really felt like an Osaka sake shop. Then we moved on to sake. The recommended sake at this shop was "Sanada Maru." It seemed fitting for the location. As we were about to enjoy our drinks, we noticed that the glass had "Osaka Retail Liquor Sales Association" written on it. It was a cool glass, and we found out that this association's Tennoji branch had ordered it from Toyosawa Sake Brewery in Nara. It made sense. So, this sake with this label can only be found in this area, making it a rare find! We enjoyed the sake while thinking about the era of Yukimura. Oh, and by the way, this glass holds exactly one cup of sake! I might want to get one... We mainly had dried snacks for food. Since we decided to eat after drinking, we just enjoyed the drinks without any food. It was a great time feeling the retro atmosphere of the standing bar and reminiscing about the Showa era.

On a day when I wanted to go to this place I hadn't been to in a while before the party from 5 to 7 pm at Tennoji Station on various lines. I arrived at 4:40 pm and decided to go for a quick drink in less than 20 minutes! "Hey, I'm heading home so I'll have a drink here!" I said to the completely drunk older brother as we switched places and stood at the bar. A large bottle of Spadra for 400 yen, and maybe some chikuwa and vinegar kelp, which I think cost about 600 yen... "If you drink at this beer bar, the Spadra will taste even better with a 20% increase!" I took a bite of the chikuwa, washed it down with beer, and it was a really good balance. The vinegar kelp was a little moister than regular konbu. It felt like drinking something sour and then washing it down with beer. A large lemon highball from Asahi for 220 yen, poured generously into a glass. No dilution, no ice, so it's a dangerous highball with a high alcohol content. A snack of ebisen, which is twice as tasty as Kappa ebisen. With that, the short 20-minute warm-up drive was complete, and it's time to head to the main party... Thank you very much... Um... it's 950 yen for you, sir... I hope this liquor store, where I want to continue forever, will stay in this place.

In the vicinity of Tennoji, there are many standing bars. The standing bars around Q's Mall are always crowded because they offer delicious food and good drinks. On the other hand, the standing bars in the back streets of Tennoji, including the famous one with Mama-san, are often crowded or have poor value for money. However, I found a place where you can drink cheaply and have a relaxing time. It's a standing bar attached to a liquor store in the back streets of Tennoji. The interior has two tables made of beer cases and a counter, with no chairs. I ordered a large bottle of Asahi Super Dry and canned grilled saury as a snack. The beer was delicious and refreshing, perfect for this season. The grilled saury also went well with the beer. I noticed a limited edition sake called "Tensui" made with water from Shitennoji Temple on the menu and couldn't resist trying it. It was a mellow and delicious sake that paired nicely with the grilled saury. I also ordered a smoked egg, which had a deep brown shell and a light brown egg white inside, with a unique smoky flavor. Despite the limited food options, the relaxing atmosphere and the discovery of Tensui sake made it a great place to unwind. I have visited this place several times since then because of the cozy ambiance. I have found a gem of a restaurant.

At Sushi Center, just one street away from Kita-guchi, there is a place that serves as a "model for standing bars"! For the perfect recovery, head to Hanano Shoten♪ The interior of the shop is simple with no decorations, but the variety of dried snacks is amazing! I thought about getting a canned drink, but decided on a classic mix of nuts and sweet potato shochu for my first drink♪ They open at 9 am, so it was not crowded at first, but gradually the regular customers started coming in. In sync with this, the owner serves each person their usual drink without them even ordering. The efficient and seamless service is really satisfying. For my second drink, I went with a chilled highball with almonds that I love♪ From this point on, conversations about funny topics related to the regular customers and the owner started unfolding, and I couldn't help but burst out laughing, much to the amusement of the person next to me. It's such a pleasant atmosphere here♪ It's a standing bar that I can only admire with reverence. #HananoShoten #TennojiKitaGuchi #StandingBar #OsakaStandingBarAssociation #ModelStandingBar #Izakaya #BarWanderingChronicles

There is a shop about a 5-minute walk from the north exit of JR Tennoji Station. The atmosphere of the shop is like stepping back in time to the Showa era. There is a counter on the left side, and tables made from stacked beer crates on the right side. I ordered a draft lemon highball and bamboo skewers from the master. The draft lemon highball is poured generously into a glass without ice. It feels like a great deal. The bamboo skewers are taken out of the refrigerator and placed on a white paper. While enjoying this simple combination of drinks and snacks, I spent a relaxing time listening to the conversations of regular customers as background music.

I decided to end the evening a little earlier than usual, feeling tired from the summer heat and ongoing health issues. I planned to head straight back to base camp for some rest, but my mind and body seemed to be out of balance. Although I spent the day in Tanimachi 9-chome, I found myself inadvertently heading to a standing bar instead of the train station. I had a few drinks and some snacks, and ended up at another bar as usual. I took the Tanimachi Line towards my base camp, but got off at Tennoji and decided to have a drink in the area. I found a standing bar in the backstreets of Tennoji, with a nostalgic Showa-era atmosphere. The place was bustling with regular customers enjoying themselves, and I managed to find a seat near the entrance. I ordered a large bottle of beer for a reasonable price, and also some smoked eggs to snack on. As I sipped my beer and enjoyed the smoky flavor of the eggs, I felt the alcohol gradually taking effect. The atmosphere was lively but not overly smoky, and I savored the Giant Corn and Paul Wieners I found on the menu. After about 30 minutes of relaxing, I left the bar feeling refreshed and ready to continue exploring the city.

When I came to Osaka, there were plenty of standing bars, but I wondered if there were any traditional sake shops...so I searched online and found a place called "Hanano Shoten" in Tennoji that serves sake from 9am. I visited at 9am and found it empty...but when I returned 30 minutes later, there were two other customers. I joined them without hesitation and enjoyed some Senpuku at room temperature. It was delicious. I continued to drink little by little, switched to junmai sake, and had a great time chatting with the two customers with Kansai-style jokes and banter...before I knew it, two and a half hours had passed. It was just so much fun. Everyone was reserved in their conversations, and the owner's personality added a touch of elegance. Despite the modest appearance from the outside, the inside was very refined and I was thoroughly satisfied. I will definitely stop by again when I visit Osaka in two years. Thank you very much! (Bill: 1,000 yen)
