In the heart of Fukuoka city, there is a place of relaxation for the citizens called "Ohori Park". The large pond surrounded by nature is a popular spot for joggers and walkers. Adjacent to the vast park is a dog cafe with an indoor dog run. For 600 yen with no time limit, you can enjoy all-you-can-drink at the drink bar. This cafe is convenient for rainy days or when you want to socialize your dog with others. On this day, I went for a walk in Ohori Park. I planned to visit either "Royal Garden Cafe Ohori Park" or "Starbucks Coffee Fukuoka Ohori Park Store" with pet-friendly terrace seating, but I got tired and ended up at "One Park Ohori Store", a pet comprehensive shop near the park. This shop has a rare indoor dog run in Fukuoka. For 600 yen per adult (dogs and small children are free), you can use the facility from 10 am to 9 pm with no time limit. The fourth floor of the One Park building houses this facility. It's so cute, like a kids' play area for humans. While off-leash is allowed, there are leash hooks available. There is also a magazine corner for humans. The kitchen has a drink bar and an ice maker. We were really thirsty, so we had some water for the dogs. Treats and dog bowls would have been handy to bring along. However, you can purchase dog food and treats at the shop inside One Park. The drink bar offers a variety of cold and hot drinks. Unfortunately, they don't have Diet Coke. Glasses, cups, milk, and sugar are provided. There are also cups and straws for kids. It's mandatory to use a manners belt at the dog cafe. They also provide cleaning supplies in case of accidents. We visited on a weekday afternoon with no other customers, so we enjoyed a quiet time. Andy, the Chihuahua, enjoyed going up and down the slide. I also had some green tea from the drink bar. It was a delicious treat! Next time, I would like to visit when other dogs are around.
