This cafe is open early in the morning and offers a morning set. The atmosphere of the cafe is wonderful, and the owner is very friendly to small children. The coffee comes with cream, making it a very nice cafe. It was a happy experience to find a cafe like this after a long time. Thank you for a great time.
Location & Purpose:
I was looking for a place near Fukuoka City Museum where I could have breakfast. When I searched for places near Nishijin based on the number of reviews, this cafe was one of the top choices and they also offered a morning set, so I decided to go there.
Location, Waiting Time, Seating, Atmosphere, Customer Base, WiFi, Toilet, Smoking, Baby Strollers, etc:
The cafe is about a 2-minute walk from Nishijin Station, near a large intersection. I sat at the counter, which was made of a large wooden material with a rounded edge and a step, making it comfortable to touch and easy to read. The atmosphere was exactly what I expected from a classic cafe, so I was satisfied. There were many regular customers and families with small children. The staff were very kind to children, and I was surprised to find a diaper changing table in the restroom.
Food:
- Morning Set (¥550): It included two simple round sandwiches with ham, boiled egg, salad, and coffee. There was cream provided next to the coffee, allowing you to enjoy your own Vienna coffee. This service was new and interesting to me, as I have never experienced it in other cafes. After having the morning set, I spent about 2 hours reading while drinking coffee. Before leaving, they also served me kelp tea (similar to the post-meal tea in Kyoto).
Service:
There were two male staff members running the cafe. Some reviews mentioned that the owner was unfriendly, and while there was some truth to that, the regular customers seemed to love the cafe despite it. They were very kind to small children, and it was heartwarming to see them washing baby bottles.
