This is a restaurant located in the underground of Hakata-za, directly connected to Nakasu Kawabata Station, which also serves lunch. It is a hidden gem as it is located in a place where only people who use the station or visit the area near the shopping district pass by. The restaurant is spacious with various types of private rooms and large halls resembling a dining area in a large resort hotel. The restroom is located at the far end, making it dimly lit and somewhat confusing. For lunch without a reservation, you will be seated at the table seats on the right side near the entrance. The lunch menu is popular among regular customers, and they often state the number of people in their group as they enter. The seating process is smooth and efficient, with staff guiding groups seamlessly. The Sichuan-style mapo tofu lunch set (960 yen) includes fried chicken, side dishes, soup, rice, and pickles. The mapo tofu is spicy with a generous amount of minced meat, and the tofu is firm and delicious. The portion size is substantial. The fried chicken comes with two large pieces and pairs well with the tangy sauce. The daily lunch special (960 yen) on this day was "Shrimp fry and country-style croquette," which was satisfying with a good amount of food. The service is quick, and the staff's coordination is impressive. Despite its intimidating appearance, this restaurant is welcoming, delicious, affordable, and recommended for a leisurely meal.

We visited the restaurant around 1:00 pm on a regular day, with three people. We were seated at a table near the entrance. The restaurant was very spacious, with private rooms and tatami rooms lined up in the back, making it easy to get lost on the way to the restroom. The lunch menu started at 960 yen (tax included). I ordered the Tempura and Sashimi Set for 1,580 yen (tax included), while the other two ordered the Seafood Bowl, which was listed as a limited edition for 1,100 yen (tax included). The Seafood Bowl arrived in about 5 minutes, followed by the Tempura and Sashimi Set. Both dishes were delicious. The Tempura and Sashimi Set was tasty, with flavorful tempura and sashimi. The Seafood Bowl came with a soft-boiled egg and was also delicious, with a rich flavor.

This is a restaurant located near Nakasu Kawabata Station, with direct access from the riverside side of the station through an underground passage. I was surprised to find a large hall at the back of the restaurant, wondering how many people could fit in there. This time, a large group gathering was held in that hall. The room was a sunken kotatsu style, which was great for me as I'm not a fan of sitting cross-legged. However, the downside of this setup is that once you sit down, your seat is fixed and it's hard to move around to talk to other people. Well, towards the end, I ended up wandering around with a drink in hand. The all-you-can-drink option was good, but some people were questioning the quality of the food compared to the price, as this place is right in the heart of Fukuoka Hakata, not Tokyo or Yokohama, so everyone's expectations were high. So, if you're planning to visit, it might be better to go in a small group rather than a large one.

In late July on a Saturday, after watching salsa in Nakasu, five of us went for a second round. It was around 8:30 PM. The location was great, just above the subway, but it was my first time entering the restaurant. The place was surprisingly spacious, clean, and had a sense of luxury. It had a relaxing atmosphere. There were quite a few empty seats that day. We were led to a private room without a rotating table for Chinese cuisine. I was already quite drunk when we arrived, so I left the ordering to the girls and forgot to take pictures of the menu. I tried to remember what we ate and wrote it down while researching. I'm not sure how many servings we ordered. We had: - Mapo Tofu for 1,290 yen - Gomoku Spring Rolls for 680 yen - Mentaiko Dashi Roll for 980 yen - Unidentified meat dish - I forgot the brand, but we ordered two decent bottles of shochu, totaling around 21,000 yen. There was a charge of 600 yen per person. I don't remember what was particularly delicious, but the calm atmosphere was quite nice. Thank you for the meal!

One minute walk from Nakasu Kawabata Station exit, located on the B2 floor of Hakataza. The interior has many private rooms and a luxurious atmosphere. The menu offers various options, with the sashimi platter and sesame mackerel being particularly delicious! The lunch menu is also good value, with the daily special lunch being tasty.

The restaurant is very spacious. I visited for a social gathering. I got so caught up in conversation that I lost track of what I was eating. It seems a whole sea bream was served, but it was devoured by the others. The cozy atmosphere must have made everyone engrossed in conversation. Thank you for a fun evening.

I topped my katsudon with Shio-chan's fried chicken. The portion size for the price of 1000 yen is cheap! The taste is rich with a crispy texture that remains. The interior is luxurious, and the use of space is extravagant! It would be great for a group dinner with about 10 people at night.

I had lunch at a restaurant in Nakasu Kawabata in Hakata, and I entered a shop in the basement of Hakata-za, just a short walk from the station ticket gate. I ordered the authentic Sichuan-style mapo tofu set meal for 960 yen. It was 12:30 on a Saturday, but the interior of the restaurant was much larger than I had imagined, so there was no sense of crowding. The stylishly decorated interior could be used for formal and quiet meals, and it also felt nice to drink alone at the counter seat. The food came out in about 3 minutes after ordering. It was served quickly, so I thought it might be pre-made mapo tofu, but it had finely ground meat with a well-seasoned taste that wasn't too spicy, so it went well with the white rice and was delicious.

Located underground at Hakata-za in Fukuoka, this is one of the several locations of the Gosenya Group. The interior of this restaurant is very spacious and stylish. There is a small bridge inside, as well as a counter that resembles a bar counter. They also have private rooms for parties. This time, we enjoyed the monthly course menu which combines Japanese and Western dishes. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

I had a 5500 yen course with all-you-can-drink option. As a woman who enjoys eating, I found the portion size a bit small. The dishes were all delicious, especially the fresh sashimi. The fried eggplant with dashi jelly was particularly tasty.

I received a course meal from the restaurant "Nantoka?". There were about 8 dishes in total, all of them delicious. Last time I had squid tempura, so this time I had grilled squid (not pictured). The tempura was still the best. The foie gras croquette made me smile, but I think adding a bit more spice would enhance the flavor. Thank you for the feast.

Surprisingly easy and convenient lunch option. I had a meeting at the Riverain office that ran late and ended at 13:30... I'm starving. I feel like I'm dying. The closest option was "Gozanya Anri" on the B2F floor. They are part of the Gozanya group with several locations in Fukuoka. The interior here is quite fancy. The lunch menu is around 870 yen, and since it's late and I've gained some weight recently, I decided to go for the Saury Miso with less rice and a slightly stronger flavor. It's a taste that suits drinkers. I haven't been here for dinner in almost 10 years, but the prices aren't too high and it's good, right?

This is a restaurant review of a restaurant called "Gozanya Iori," which is part of the Gozenya Group located in Hakata Station East, Nakasu Kawabata, and Island City Shouyou Resort. It is a high-class "Kyushu Izakaya" where you can enjoy famous dishes and local cuisine from Kyushu and Hakata. The restaurant offers a variety of Japanese, Western, and Chinese dishes, making it convenient for locals as well. The restaurant is located in the basement of a building directly connected to Nakasu Kawabata Station, where Hakataza is also located, making it a luxurious spot to visit after watching a play. The restaurant is very spacious with counter seats, table seats, and private rooms, with a main area of semi-private raised seating. The menu includes a variety of drinks, with slightly higher prices compared to typical izakayas. The quality of the fish used in the dishes is high, making it suitable for dining with visitors from outside the prefecture. The menu includes various Kyushu local dishes such as Vinegar Motsu, Hakata Sesame Mackerel, Mentaiko Dashi Roll, Hakata Motsunabe, Hakata Mizutaki, and more. The dishes are beautifully presented and of high quality, with a good atmosphere and service, making it a satisfying dining experience.

Affordable Price - Anri Goyotei (Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City) On January 2, 2020 (Thursday), I visited Anri Goyotei. This place is located on the underground 2nd floor following the Nakasu Kawabata subway station. The underground 1st floor is occupied by Nishi-Nihon City Bank, and the above ground 2nd floor is the Hakataza theater. Unfortunately, I have not stepped foot into Hakataza yet. Being located underground of Hakataza, the interior is luxurious and extravagant. There is a bridge and a flowing waterfall. Since it utilizes the size of Hakataza, the place is incredibly spacious. Most of the rooms are private rooms, extending like a checkerboard pattern. It's so spacious that you might even get lost trying to find the restroom. I thought that such a luxurious place would be quite expensive, but as you can see, the lunch menu is reasonably priced (including tax). In addition, there is a daily lunch special for 870 yen. I ordered the Tan Tan Men with half fried rice for 1000 yen (including tax). It turned out to be a double carb meal again. The fried rice portion was just right. The rice was fluffy and delicious. The Tan Tan Men came in a large bowl, looking quite filling. The soup was slightly spicy, with a hint of sweetness and a sesame fragrance, making it delicious. The noodles were thin and curly, which paired well with the spicy soup. It was a delicious and reasonably priced lunch in a luxurious restaurant. It might be nice to have a drinking party here at night. Anri Goyotei is located at 2-1 Shimokawabata-machi, Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City. Closed during the year-end and New Year holidays.

Large venue, good customer service, easy to use for banquets. This year's banquet is the same as last year. Suitable for groups of 50 or more, with a banquet hall in the back, but there is still plenty of space in the restaurant. The fee is 5500 yen for an all-you-can-drink course, with a wide variety of drink options available. Bottled Kirin Ichiban beer is served. The staff quickly sets it up on each table before the event starts. The table is already set with a sashimi platter and edamame. The dishes are served one by one after the toast. Fried chicken, homemade squid croquettes, and leek and cod roe rolled omelette. Everything is freshly made, so it stays warm. The main dish is black pork shabu-shabu. The pork and vegetables are served on separate plates. The meal ends with udon noodles, which are surprisingly good for a large venue. Suitable for large banquets, and easy to access.

I made a last-minute reservation at Anri after a long time, and they only had private rooms with flat floors available. So, we opted for an open floor table seat (a 6-seater for 2 people, which turned out to be the right choice). We ordered Smirnoff Lemon Sour and large highballs as our drinks. For food, we had live squid sashimi, tempura, shrimp avocado spring rolls, corn fritters, grilled hamaguri clams, and more. The hamaguri clams were surprisingly delicious, even though they are commonly found in other restaurants. Overall, Anri did not disappoint with its reliable and delicious dishes.

A slightly upscale izakaya directly connected to the station on March 20, 2019 (Wednesday). It's quite a large establishment. The food is decent. The sashimi may not look great in the picture, but it tasted good. The mentaiko dashimaki is delicious♪ It's a convenient place for both large and small group gatherings.

Located in the basement of Hakata-za. The atmosphere at Gozen-ya is also nice. We used it for a group last year but completely forgot to write a review. The course includes all-you-can-drink, salad, squid sashimi (sliced after ordering), shrimp fry, and a hot pot (with tomatoes and udon noodles as the finishing touch). Everything was delicious. It might be recommended for group use. Thank you for the meal.

Fukuoka, Nakasu Kawabata Station. Located underground at the Hakataza theater, directly connected to the subway station (^_^) I visited this restaurant when I attended a party organized by an acquaintance, with about 40 people. There are various sizes of private rooms where you can relax, and the interior is clean. The dishes included: - Sashimi platter, which was not part of the regular course but was requested by the organizer. Each person had about one-third of a serving. The fish was fresh and delicious, and I would love to order it when I visit on my own. - Squid sashimi, with the remaining squid used for tempura. Also fresh and tasty (^_^) - Deep-fried eggplant and pumpkin - Dashimaki tamago (rolled omelette) - Karaage (fried chicken) with potato salad - Pork shabu-shabu hot pot, with a flavorful broth and plenty of meat and vegetables. Udon noodles for the finale. The dishes were mainly traditional but well thought out and delicious. With all-you-can-drink included, the price was in the 4000 yen range, making it very reasonable (^_^) The restaurant is clean, with many private rooms, and easy access from the subway. It seems to be a convenient place for various occasions... The "Jyugenn" sake I tried was also delicious. It is slightly sparkling, fruity, smooth to drink, and has a refreshing aftertaste (^_^) Thank you for the wonderful meal ♡

At the underground floor of Hakata-za, directly connected to Nakasu Kawabata Station, we had a year-end party at Iori, a restaurant we had been to about 10 years ago! We went to enjoy the nostalgic menu. Iori is a luxurious restaurant with a pond(?) at the entrance with flowing water and a bridge, giving off a high-class vibe. The interior is spacious with a high ceiling, creating a calm and open atmosphere. With around 250 seats, the restaurant is quite large. The restroom is also very spacious. Perhaps due to its location under Hakata-za, the clientele tends to be older. Now, onto the main topic, the food we ordered included some memorable dishes from 10 years ago: sesame mackerel, spring rolls with prosciutto and mozzarella cheese (crispy outside and creamy inside, eaten as is without any sauce), mentaiko omelet (I secretly think this is where mentaiko omelet originated), soft bone and yukari fried meatballs (no longer on the main menu), sweet potato tempura, and delicious rice balls (various fillings, highly recommended). Enjoying the nostalgic flavors, everything tasted almost the same as before, providing a sense of comfort. The restaurant offers private rooms for large groups, semi-private and private rooms for small groups, and even a bar counter, making it a convenient place for various occasions. With a variety of Kyushu specialties available, it is recommended for those from outside the prefecture too!

I saw a post on SNS saying "Let's gather around a hot pot together" and tapped the join button! The event was initially looking for 50 people, but ended up with 54 participants and was fully booked before the deadline. The restaurant was located underground at Hakata-za. The exterior looked like a typical izakaya. Inside, it was very spacious with an artificial pond and a stone bridge. The staff guided us to a private room at the back, which comfortably accommodated over 50 people. The participation fee was 5000 yen with a nomihodai (all-you-can-drink) option available. They had a variety of drinks including bottled Kirin Ichiban Shibori beer. Before the event started, the staff quickly set up dishes on each table, such as simmered potatoes, squid and bamboo shoot, tamagoyaki, and edamame. We started with a toast and then enjoyed live squid sashimi, karaage with sweet and sour sauce, and pork shabu-shabu as the main hot pot dish. We also had tempura squid legs and brought in a special sake, Dassai with a label designed by Katsuyuki Shiga. The taste was a surprise, as we couldn't tell if it was a ginjo or daiginjo. The udon noodles at the end were delicious. The event lasted for 2 hours, and the staff efficiently guided us to finish the drinks and wrap up. The venue's capacity and quality of service make it suitable for company gatherings. Overall, the quality and service were decent.
