Smoking is completely separated from smoking. The law concerning measures against passive smoking (revised Health Promotion Law) has been in effect since April 1, 2020, and may differ from the latest information, so please check with the restaurant before coming to the restaurant.
I got off the Shinkansen feeling hungry and needing to use the bathroom. It was convenient that there was a restroom inside the station since it's usually far away in large stations. It was lunchtime and I had to wait about 10 minutes after writing my name. The seating inside the restaurant is spaced out, so there is enough room to place large bags. I ordered an omurice with a pork cutlet on top. I had the option to choose between demi-glace and curry sauce, and I chose demi-glace.

I used the morning set while waiting for the Shinkansen at Shin-Osaka. The location is perfect for killing time as it is right in front of the Shinkansen ticket gate. The morning set, which comes with coffee and shoulder ham, gives a luxurious feel but is very reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

We had some time to spare before boarding the Shinkansen, so we waited with a few other groups at the front of the line. Some groups left while we were still waiting, and we felt the operation was slow. The food was neither good nor bad, and the seats had charging facilities, which was a plus.

This is a café-like shop located just outside the Shinkansen ticket gate at Shin-Osaka Station. It's not inside the conventional line ticket gate. I visited on a weekday morning around 9:30. There were about 20 customers inside the spacious shop, with some empty seats still available. The menu offered only morning service items, so the Deluxe Cheesecake may not have been available. The morning service involved adding a little extra to the drink price. There were regular and slightly more expensive options, and I opted for the regular morning set. Espresso for 520 yen, tax included, and a plate of toast for 180 yen, tax included. The espresso arrived about 4 minutes after ordering, followed by the toast and other items in about 1 minute. The espresso was okay, maybe a bit on the weak side. The toast was pre-buttered, with two large slices of ham, a lettuce-based salad, and potato salad. I realized that when the price reaches around 700 yen, the quality of the food improves significantly. The location is convenient, and the shop seemed to always have a lot of customers. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

This time, I visited "Estacion Cafe Time" located inside Shin-Osaka Station. I arrived a little after 8 am. There were 2 groups waiting, but I was seated in about 10 minutes. I hadn't eaten breakfast before catching the Shinkansen, so I was relieved to find this cafe near the ticket gates. For an additional 180 yen with any drink, you can get a morning plate. I ordered coffee, which had a taste that suited me and was delicious. I would like to use this cafe again. Thank you for the meal.

My friend from Tokyo who was visiting Osaka had tea with me at Estacion Cafe in Shin-Osaka Station before heading back. It's a convenient place to meet up as you can quickly catch the Shinkansen. It was crowded on a weekday, so we had to write our names and wait a bit. We got a seat with a view of the Shinkansen central ticket gate in the back right corner. The coffee cost ¥520 (tax included). You can also enjoy a popular cheesecake from Delicieux in Minoh either in the cafe or as a takeaway. My friend and I were classmates in elementary school (grades 1-4) and in our second year of high school. It was a great cafe to spend time in before catching the Shinkansen.

Osaka Station is crowded everywhere. I wanted to have a business meeting, but it's hard to find a good place with partitions for preventing the spread of COVID-19. However, this place has spacious table seats, which is convenient. I originally planned to just have coffee, but they also had delicious egg sandwiches. I decided to give it a try. The egg was lightly seasoned with mostly dashi, mixed with mayonnaise. Personally, I felt it could use a bit more sweetness and saltiness. The staff were very friendly. Thank you for the meal.

And again, I arrived at Tamago Shin-Osaka, and I always feel like I eat a lot of eggs, it's strange, maybe it's because of this city! Just kidding, I eat too much. Morning set right next to the Shinkansen ticket gate, it took a little longer to be served probably because it's crowded. The eggs were soft and fluffy, oh, this is definitely Kansai. They put plenty of mayonnaise in it, so it's like dipping okonomiyaki in mayonnaise, or more like scrambled eggs. It may be a bit pricey, but whenever I feel like it, I want to go there.

I am looking for a place where I can enjoy rich cheesecake and coffee while relaxing in a cafe. Here is my evaluation from that perspective:
[Cheesecake]
- Richness: ★★★☆☆
- Aftertaste: ★★★★☆ (Plenty of apricot? At the beginning, apricot, lemon, and cheese mix together in the mouth, which is delicious. Finally, it finishes with a slightly sweet tart crust. It's a nostalgic cheesecake, but with the evolution of two layers of cheese and moist tart, it's delicious.)
[Other than cheesecake]
- Coffee: ★★★★☆
- Ambiance: ★★★☆☆
- Price: ★★★★☆ (The coffee goes perfectly with the cheesecake! The place is full of customers waiting for the Shinkansen. It's not exactly laid-back, but everyone is chatting lively, so the atmosphere is nice. The cheesecake was delicious, and I'd like to try it at the Minoh Main Store for a more relaxing experience.)
[Order Details]
- Delicheese: 600 yen
- Brand Coffee: 380 yen

I visited the restaurant at 10:05 in the morning. They accept premium meal vouchers. There was a line outside the store because it was Sunday. I wrote my name and waited for a while. Soon, I was inside the restaurant. There was a wait, but since it was near the station, the turnover was faster than a regular cafe. I ordered a fluffy egg sandwich and a hot Garlic Jersey Cafe Latte. The egg sandwich was indeed fluffy, just as the name suggests.

I always end up buying the same thing, so today I wanted to try a different breakfast. I visited a place called "Delicious Packed Egg Sandwich - Super Egg Sandwich" which had a busy name in English and Japanese with Osaka dialect. It was basically an egg sandwich and it was delicious. Just like the name suggests, it was filled with eggs. It was a tasty breakfast!

When I come to Osaka, I always pass by here, but I never noticed it before. Although, I faintly remember seeing this sign before, but maybe I wasn't in the mood for cheesecake at that time.
Deliceuse Small 1900 yen
The prices seem to be gradually increasing slightly (^_^;)
There are shops in the station building of Shin-Osaka Station as well. Here, there is only one type of small cheesecake. If you eat in, you can have just one slice, but it costs 580 yen, so it's more cost-effective to buy a whole cake and take it home! I brought it back to the hotel and put it in the fridge. Since I travel a lot, I always carry plastic knives, forks, and spoons in my carry-on bag. (Chopsticks and straws are also included) It's nice to be able to cut the cake on the go. I'm so resourceful, right? lol
It said to thaw in the fridge for about 6-7 hours, so I had it for breakfast the next morning. When you put it in your mouth, the apricot jam and cheesecake soften and melt. The cheese is made with Brie de Meaux, so it's rich but easy to eat without any strong taste, making me want to eat too much. I ate 1/3 and took the rest home. It's in a container, so even if it tilts a bit, the shape doesn't get ruined, which is nice.

Head to the café "Estacion Café Time" on the Shinkansen Central Exit side of Shin-Osaka Station. I had an iced lemon tea for 500 yen. It's just an ordinary café, but its location near the ticket gates at Shin-Osaka Station is its biggest appeal. They have good infection control measures in place, making it a good choice for a morning visit.

Fluffy egg sandwich for 200 yen and blended coffee for 500 yen. The egg has a simple taste, making it a cost-effective choice for breakfast at around 150-200 yen. The total cost comes to around 700-800 yen as the drink is about 500 yen. Although there is no set breakfast menu, you can order items individually. The egg has a subtle salt flavor and is quite simple. The coffee cup has a classic design, and the blended coffee is mild and gentle on the body.

I stopped by the cafe "Estacion Cafe Time" at the JR Shin-Osaka Station Shinkansen ticket gate for a quick bite. The interior of the cafe is surprisingly spacious, and they have solid COVID-19 prevention measures in place. While all seats inside are non-smoking, there is a smoking room for smokers to relax. I've always wanted to try their egg sandwich, so I decided to get the morning set which includes the sandwich for an additional 200 yen on top of the drink price. The morning set costs 700 yen and the blend coffee is 500 yen, with the egg sandwich being 200 yen. The blend coffee was a medium-dark roast, easy to drink with a good aroma. The egg sandwich had a thick Kansai-style omelette sandwiched between fluffy bread, which is quite fitting for a sandwich at Osaka's gateway. The sandwich was simple with just a light spread of mayonnaise, but I wished it had a bit more sweetness or saltiness. It might be a bit too simple. However, considering the value for money, it's a good deal to add the sandwich for an extra 200 yen with the drink. The egg sandwich was very comforting, especially since it was served hot! It might be a good choice for a morning after a hangover.

For lunch today, I went to Estacion Cafe Time at Shin-Osaka Station. It was lunchtime, but the place was about 70% full and I was able to get a seat without waiting. I was considering having pasta, but I was drawn to the sample of European-style curry at the entrance, so I ordered the curry with extra serving. The lady at the restaurant mentioned that for an additional 200 yen, I could get a set with salad, soup, and a drink, so I ordered that as well. The food arrived in about 5 minutes. The curry was not as European-style and flavorful as I had hoped, it was more like a standard restaurant curry. The soup also didn't have any special taste. Overall, the food was neither good nor bad, it felt like a typical family restaurant. However, the fact that it came with an extra serving for free, and at around 1000 yen plus consumption tax for a set with a drink, mini salad, and soup in the Shin-Osaka Station building, made it seem like a reasonable deal. If I have the chance next time, I would like to try ordering a different set.

We were supposed to meet at the Shinkansen ticket gate on March 5, 2022, but it seems like my son is running late Σ(゚□゚;) Oh well, I guess I'll switch to a non-reserved seat and wait for him here. The atmosphere is quite calm, and the cappuccino I had in a corner of the store was delicious with a gentle flavor. Finally, my son arrived, saying, "I'm tired, I ran here. Sorry." I replied, "It's okay, let's relax since we're not in reserved seats anymore." He then said, "In that case, I'll have the cheesecake set." He's being too nonchalant. While I was amazed, he was enjoying the cheesecake.

Located right in front of the Shinkansen gates at Shin-Osaka Station. I visited this restaurant after receiving a breakfast voucher from the hotel I stayed at. I had the egg sandwich, but it wasn't as good as I had imagined. I didn't feel very enthusiastic about eating it. Thank you for the meal. 71 reviews, 3.28 points.

I had some extra time before my meeting, so I decided to have breakfast. I went to the closest place to the meeting spot and ordered an iced tea and an egg sandwich. The sandwich was hot and soft, and really delicious. I wish it had a little bit of salt though. I'm full now. Thank you for the meal!

I had the "Omukatsu Curry Rice (1070 yen including tax)" at "Estacion Cafe" in Shin-Osaka ✨ There are two versions available, one with demi-glace sauce and one with curry sauce, and I chose the curry version ✨ Even though it's a cafe, the thickness of the cutlet and the richness of the curry sauce were of a quality comparable to specialty stores and it was really delicious ✨ I've never seen such a thick cutlet at a cafe before ✨ I would like to try the demi-glace sauce version next time ✨
