I went to the popcorn shop in the Mario area of Universal Studios Japan! My son loves Mario so much and really wanted to go, so I took him as a celebration for passing an exam (*´з`) What a good dad, right? We arrived at the Mario area and had no problem entering with the confirmed entry tickets we had bought. Then my son said he wanted to eat popcorn, so we lined up to buy some. He also wanted the star-shaped box, so we bought that too... for 4,500 yen ( ̄▽ ̄;)◼️ In terms of crowd, even on a weekday, it was quite busy with it being sandwiched between a Sunday and a holiday, and also because it's March which is spring break time. Around 10:30 am, there were about 40 people in line (lol) but the turnover was fast so we were able to buy in about 20 minutes.◼️ The customers were mostly young people and families with children.◼️ The shop itself was simple with just a storefront, but the Mario-themed surroundings created a really fun atmosphere.◼️ The staff, as with the entire Universal Studios, were incredibly friendly, polite, and always smiling. Thanks to their great service, the kids were having a blast the whole time.◼️ The menu had two flavors: Caramel Peach and Cream Mushroom. The popcorn boxes were also available in Mario Kart design, not just the star shape.◼️ The total cost was 4,500 yen for the Super Star Popcorn Bucket.◼️ The popcorn was served quickly.↓ Review ↓● Cream Mushroom: Creamy with a good saltiness, and the umami of mushrooms made it incredibly delicious. It really helped rejuvenate our tired bodies from all the walking. Overall, a delicious popcorn! They also sold Mario popcorn at the entrance of Universal Studios, but they only had salt and caramel flavors there, so I recommend getting it here instead (^_-)At the time of posting, the Tabelog score was 3.05, there were 2 reviews, and 11 saves.
