Work in Nakasu Kawabata. Once work is finished safely, it's time for lunch! (laughs) This time, I aimed for "Genghis Khan Tohei" restaurant. It seems to be a new business style run by Uesuto. The visit time was 11:50. The restaurant is located inside the Kawabata shopping arcade. There is an information board for lunch menus on the roadside in front of the store. Since I had already done some research on the internet, I glanced at it and entered the store. The seating consists of only counter seats arranged in a J-shape. The space between the seats is narrow, and there is no sense of spaciousness, but with three empty seats among the previous customers. Since there was no one around the designated seat, I ended up sitting comfortably. (laughs) I ordered the "Marinated Lamb Lunch 100g (1,639 yen, tax included)". You can choose from large, medium, or small rice, and they are all the same price. I asked to change to a mini curry with the "large" rice for an additional 220 yen, but they said it was not possible. It's disappointing to have such a half-hearted service without even asking for extra curry. My mood suddenly went down. When you order Genghis Khan, you are given an apron to prevent splashes. The staff placed vegetables on a large iron plate that looked like an overturned bowl. I received advice that the lamb meat tastes better when not cooked too much, so I carefully grilled the meat one by one. The meat does not have a strong smell and is tender. It can be enjoyed comfortably. There are two types of sauces, and they suggested trying "rock salt" for three different flavors. As soon as I started grilling, soup, curry, and kimchi were served. Since there were already plenty of lamb meat and vegetables on the plate, the table was lively. If it had been full, there would have been no place for it. (laughs) The curry had a thick, European-style finish. You probably wouldn't know it was lamb meat if it wasn't mentioned. Originally, I intended to have Genghis Khan with white rice and finish with curry, but since the rice couldn't be increased, I had the curry last. It was a shame that it had cooled down. (－－〆) Dessert was a rich soft serve ice cream. Hot tea was also recommended and I finished it all. The impression is mixed with good and bad service, but if improvements such as thinning out the seats are made, I would like to revisit the restaurant. By the way, the staff's service is polite, so I would like to mention that just in case. Thank you for the meal.

I had my first Genghis Khan (Mongolian barbecue) experience. I tried a Genghis Khan lunch where I could enjoy two different flavors. The meat itself had no strong taste or smell and was very delicious. Also, the lamb heart was surprisingly tasty. I was too full to try the lamb chops, so I definitely want to have them next time I come.

This was my first time eating Genghis Khan outside of Hokkaido, and what surprised me the most was that each person had their own hot pot. The meat was fresh, there were plenty of vegetables, and it was very filling but easy to finish. The soft serve ice cream for dessert was very rich. I visited with a friend this time, but the restaurant seemed welcoming for solo diners as well.

I used it for lunch! I haven't eaten much Genghis Khan before, but it's quite delicious! It's easy to eat with not too much fat. I don't have a big appetite, but I feel like I could eat a double portion of this meat! It seems suitable for dieting as it is high in protein and low in fat! You can also get plenty of vegetables with the set, and it comes with ice cream too.

On May 13, 2023, it seems that West, known for their udon shops, has opened a new Genghis Khan restaurant, in addition to their yakitori and Chinese cuisine establishments. They are only open for lunch on weekends and holidays, so I decided to visit the place right away. Located across from the Kawabata Shotengai shopping street, the entrance of the Genghis Khan restaurant catches the eye with its white exterior and large red letters. The entrance is glass-walled, allowing a glimpse of the interior and making it inviting to enter. The seating consists of a horseshoe-shaped counter with about 20 seats, but it feels cramped due to the meat, vegetables, and rice dishes being served, barely leaving room for people to pass between the back and the wall. However, there are lockers at the entrance to store belongings, showing some thoughtfulness. The lunch menu offers two options: "Tare-Marinated Lamb Lunch" and "Special Genghis Khan Lunch." Although the special selection may be tempting, I opted for the tare-marinated option, requesting a double portion of 200g. The staff placed the vegetables on the teppan first, followed by the cooked lamb, which turned out to be tender and flavorful, dispelling any initial concerns about its toughness. The two accompanying sauces, "Light Negi-Dare" and "Rich Dare," were delicious as well. The medium-sized rice, despite my request for a regular portion, was served in a large teacup, but the kimchi provided added just the right amount of spiciness and flavor. Despite the slightly chaotic atmosphere due to the recent opening, the staff's friendly demeanor and natural conversation skills show promise for future growth and improvement.

I came back to Hakata after a long time and went to a late-night meeting at the Genghis Khan restaurant "Genghis Khan Tohei" right away. They are open until 2 am, and it seems to be a branch of Waist. I ordered mainly lamb and pork, and it was delicious! As expected of Waist, it was really tasty. However, the prices were not Waist-like.

While walking around Kawabata Shoten, I found a Genghis Khan (Mongolian barbecue) restaurant. It's a must-visit in Hokkaido, but not as common in Fukuoka. The interior of the restaurant is newly built and clean, and the taste is delicious! Genghis Khan may not be very familiar in Fukuoka, but please give it a try as if you were being deceived!

The lamb meat is fresh, tender, and delicious without a strong taste. The lamb loin is especially delicious. The sauce is also tasty. Lamb chops pair well with beer.
