Tonkatsu set meal (daily special). Limited time, so quick. Trying to decide between soup curry and tonkatsu. The daily special is tonkatsu. Goes down smoothly. I've never tried soba here. Haven't tried katsukas either (katsudon, katsuni). Now the daily special tonkatsu is thin. Added sauce halfway through. Delicious. A regular-looking person ordered their usual. Wondering what their usual is, it seemed to be tempura soba. I wonder how often it becomes their usual.

Sapporo has been hot every day. My mother and I decided to have soba together, so we went to Enzan no Ajinosu in a while. I like the soba here because it has a good texture. I usually order the Tenseiro soba here. Today, after much consideration, I went with the Tenseiro soba again. It's the season for delicious summer vegetables now. The tempura included zucchini and young corn. The fresh summer vegetables with a crispy texture were delicious. I also like the rich soba broth they serve here. It's comforting to have it after the meal. Thank you for the meal!

Tonkatsu and egg on rice set meal. It was crowded even on a weekday because of the festival. It was easy to get in alone. I had less rice this time since I had katsudon last time. The miso soup was a bit salty. The tonkatsu and egg were not too salty and delicious. In the end, I pour the sauce over it, so it's like a katsudon after all.

At the quiet entrance of Maruyama Park, there is our shop. Despite being a soba restaurant, we offer a wide variety of set meal options and are always bustling during lunchtime. The place is almost always full from 12 o'clock onwards, but since we have many seats, you might surprisingly get a table. If you avoid the lunch rush, it suddenly becomes empty, so if you don't want to wait, it's safer to come later. This time, I ordered the following: [Katsu Don 1000 yen] [Add mini soba 200 yen]. A hearty and satisfying Katsu Don with a simple soba set. It's not surprising, but it's delicious and filling, so I felt very happy. And the best part is that the service is quick! It's a lifesaver for those working nearby. Delicious, cheap, and fast!! Thank you for the meal.

Katsudon at Maruyama Park. I think it's an old soba restaurant. It was my first time going in. The daily special was a pork cutlet set meal. When I ordered, they were sold out! So, I ended up getting the katsudon instead. It seemed like there were a lot of regular customers, and I felt a sense of déjà vu, like I've experienced this at a Chinese restaurant before. I could hear the frying sound, and when it arrived, it was a splendid katsudon. The meat wasn't thick, but the egg topping and flavor were just to my liking. It was delicious. It had bamboo shoots and shiitake mushrooms in it. The cutlet was also hot. There was grated yam in a side dish. The salad had dressing on it, but I ended up putting sauce on it halfway through. Thank you for the meal. I didn't plan on coming here because of the location, but it was delicious. The curry next door was also great, a lucky find.

After getting off the subway, whether you are heading to Meiji Shrine, Maruyama Park, Maruyama Zoo, or Maruyama Baseball Stadium, there is a shop that everyone must have seen before. They offer two types of soba noodles: "Maru" for hand-made soba (probably using regular flour) and "Yama" for country-style soba (pictured is the country style). The set meals are plentiful, and the soba noodles may appear weak in texture and slightly lacking in draining water, but the Katsu-don (pork cutlet bowl) was a great recovery option! Thank you for the meal.

The soba, tempura, and dashi were delicious. However, the wait time is incredibly long. The staff is friendly, but it can be tough to go during limited time. It took 37 minutes from ordering lunch to being served on a weekday.

After visiting the shrine, I had my first soba of the year here. It was hand-made soba. The small shrimp tempura was served hot and crispy. They placed the small shrimp tempura on top of the soba, and then covered it with an egg. The egg was like the top of a katsudon. I ate it with the egg and dipping sauce. The sauce became a bit cloudy from the egg liquid. The flavor of the sauce was a bit blurry... The soba was a bit clumpy and not as smooth to eat. The restaurant had many traditional items inside. I wonder what kind of background this restaurant has. The interior was spacious and had an appropriate number of seats. Thank you for the meal.

I visited this restaurant after visiting Hokkaido Shrine, as it seemed to be the perfect time for lunch. I was initially thinking of having soba, but I was drawn to the daily special with fried horse mackerel. While waiting, I noticed that for an additional 100 yen, I could add a mini miso soup to my meal. It turned out to be a big mistake! The fried horse mackerel seemed like it was frozen, but it was served hot and crispy with plenty of shredded cabbage and just the right amount of dressing. As someone who likes to eat fried fish with hot mustard soy sauce, I wished they had provided some wasabi with it. Nevertheless, I enjoyed my meal. Thank you for the delicious food.

On a certain weekday, I visited a soba restaurant near Maruyama Park for lunch. The parking lot seemed a bit scarce due to the location. The interior of the restaurant was surprisingly spacious, with a counter and table seating. The entrance had an open door, allowing a nice breeze to flow through. Jazz music was playing in the background. I decided to try the grated soba set that was displayed at the entrance, and the friendly staff happily accepted my request for the "grated soba and mini pork bowl set (800 yen)". The food arrived promptly. The soba was a white type with a chewy texture, topped with bonito flakes and grated radish. The dipping sauce had a slightly nutty flavor, which was a unique touch compared to other places. The mini pork bowl consisted of pork belly and onions in a sweet soy-based sauce, different from the usual pork bowl style but I really enjoyed it. Lastly, I had some soba tea with a complimentary chocolate. Overall, it was a satisfying meal. I couldn't help but think that the ginger pork also looked delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Since moving to this neighborhood, I've become a regular at this place. I rely on it a lot and will continue to do so. The best deal for me is the daily special for 800 yen. They offer a variety of dishes from grilled fish to soba and udon, so I never get tired of it. The set meals also come with plenty of side dishes, which is great for singles. Last order is at 8pm. It's delicious.

Located near the Subway Maruyama Koen Station in Odori Nishi 28-jo, Sapporo. Just a little off the circular road towards Chuo Shrine. Visited during lunchtime on a weekday. They offer hand-made soba and country-style soba, as well as set meals, rice bowls, and ramen. The variety of dishes at this unpretentious eatery is truly impressive. The "Tororo Set Meal" with grilled fish is tempting, but I opted for the must-try "Ginger Pork Set Meal". When I arrived just before noon, the place was not crowded, but it quickly filled up at noon. The food was served in about 8 minutes. The square tray was quite large, but the counter table had enough depth to comfortably enjoy the meal. I always have a ritual of rearranging the main dish and miso soup. The main dish on the bottom right, miso soup on the top left. It just feels right that way. The meat was sliced pork with onions. The cabbage salad with carrots was generous. Comes with tomato and potato salad. The side dishes were bean sprout namul and pickled vegetables. The miso soup had fried tofu. I enjoyed eating the vegetables first, then mixing the pork with the sauce. The meat was slightly thick with a good texture. The sauce was a bit on the rich side, which was appetizing. It had more sweetness than ginger flavor, like a soba shop's version of ginger pork. The lively and cozy atmosphere made the dining experience enjoyable. I might try their soba next time.

Not a love nest, but a taste nest - Located near Maruyama Park, this soba and Japanese cuisine restaurant, "Ajino Su", was my first visit. They offer a wide variety of dishes, but I chose the Kozara Soba with small shrimp tempura for 1200 yen. The tempura was crispy and delicious, and the soba noodles were also very good. The spacious counter seating right as you enter allows you to relax. It seems like a great place for soba and drinks in the evening in Maruyama. I highly recommend this restaurant!

In 2020, the snow melted early in Sapporo. The landscape is still barren with no leaves on the trees, but many citizens are running and walking in Maruyama Park on their day off. Climbing the stairs to Hokkaido Shrine felt refreshing after a long time. This year, we won't be able to see the usual Golden Week tradition of cherry blossom viewing with Genghis Khan BBQ. I hope for a peaceful world next year, where we can enjoy the local traditions. The cherry blossoms in Sapporo are starting to bloom. Menus are displayed clearly outside the restaurants. Upon entering... we were guided to a table by a kind female owner. Let's start with the black★. I ordered the Mori (handmade round soba) for ¥600 with a mini tempura bowl for ¥300. Soon after ordering, a delightful aroma wafted from the kitchen at the back of the counter. Here it comes. The neatly arranged soba was well-drained after being rinsed in cold water. I dipped the moderately firm round soba in a slightly sweet and tangy broth with a hint of bonito flavor, slurping it up. I added green onions to the emptied cup, poured soba water into it, and turned it into a soup. The sweet and savory sauce on the tempura and rice had soaked in nicely over time. The comforting taste made me feel at ease as I devoured it. I finished my beer and went to pay the bill. Soba and a bowl definitely filled me up. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I finally visited the shop that I always noticed when passing by in my car. It was my first time at a soba restaurant, so I ordered the safe option of mori soba. My companion ordered the daily special set meal with pork shio chanpon hotpot soba. The broth was delicious and the portion of the pork shio chanpon hotpot was generous. (Rice is apparently all-you-can-eat) The menu also includes country-style soba, so I will challenge that next time. I will definitely come back again.

I stopped by on my way back from walking. The restaurant was full of local people and foreign tourists. I was seated at the counter near the entrance. I wanted to enjoy some soba, but they only had dinner menu items available. I ordered a set with mini-donburi and mini tendon along with a beer. However, I must say, it's not about prejudice, but Asian tourists, please make sure to close the entrance door properly!! It's cold because they keep coming in and out without closing the door properly, leaving it slightly open! It's a matter of manners before anything else! It would be nice if the staff noticed and closed the door! It's a little bit of a complaint, but the taste was satisfying! The soba was sharp and the tendon was surprisingly flavorful with well-seasoned rice, which I liked. I enjoyed my meal! Thank you for the delicious food!

Baby strollers are allowed during the day, they serve soba set meals, and at night it turns into an izakaya that serves hand-made round soba and tororo soba for 900 yen. The soba noodles are thin with a good chewy texture, and the flavor and aroma are average. The dipping sauce is slightly spicier than expected, and the broth is okay. My wife seemed to like the tororo soba, but I don't particularly care for it. It wasn't too watery, which was nice. I ordered the katsudon for 800 yen and added 100 yen for cold soba. The meat was tender and not too sweet or salty. The portion was generous but not greasy, which gave it a refined touch typical of Maruyama. The katsudon came with bamboo shoots, onions, and shiitake mushrooms. The soba noodles had a slippery and elastic texture, which was interesting and made me wonder if this is how it used to be in the past. Overall, I found the soba to be more enjoyable than just ordering soba noodles. I was somewhat satisfied with the katsudon, and it seems like this place focuses more on set meal options than soba.

I was walking around Maruyama looking for a place to have lunch and stumbled upon this place. Surprisingly, there aren't many eateries around here. I decided to try this Japanese restaurant that mainly serves soba. Since it was cold outside, I ordered a warm soba. The thin noodles and rich broth were perfect for warming me up. I also added an onigiri to my meal, which was delicious and filling.

I walked to the area around Maruyama Park Station. I finally got to visit a soba restaurant that I had been curious about for a while, so it feels good to be here. I'm walking for weight loss purposes, so I ordered a light lunch. It's still before noon, so there aren't many customers inside the restaurant. I sit at the counter and order the mori soba for 600 yen. It was ready in no time, which surprised me, but it was properly cooked. It's morekase soba. The soba is decent, with a good texture and firmness. The draining could be better, but it's not bad. It's perfect for a snack. The portion might be a bit small for women, but the taste is good. You can tell that they have been around for a long time. The soba-yu (soba water) with added soba flour is just the right amount. It's my first time having just the right amount in one cup! The soba flour added is delicious! The gooey texture is irresistible! Now, what should I eat next? Haha. Thanks for the meal!

There are no photos. By 3 o'clock, everywhere is closed for a break. Due to the extreme cold, I was looking for a warm meal as soon as possible, and right in front of me, there it was. I ordered tanuki soba, and I could hear the sound of frying. It seems they were frying tempura flakes. Excellent.
